KBShimmer Up & Autumn Collection: Spice Things Up, Twist & Stout, If You’ve Got It Haunt It

KBShimmer is an outstanding nail polish line with only one flaw:  these jaw-droppingly gorgeous shades aren’t around forever. There are so many incredible polishes and only so much time…and KBShimmer is about to retire about 50 items, so grab what you want before it is gone.

One collection that has so many must-have shades is the Up & Autumn Collection 2019 which is a celebration of fall. There are 12 shades in all and each is $10, although you can purchase the entire collection for the sale price of $94.00. I have three of the shades today and Marcia will have four more for you soon. She has some beauties, but I can’t even imagine they could be more stunning than the ones I have.

I honestly can’t decide which of these three is my favorite. I have a pretty extensive nail polish collection, but in looking through it I can’t find anything that is even close to any one of these shades. They are so pretty that when I showed them to my nail tech, she immediately tried to talk me into giving them to her! She raved about them, then quickly went to the KBShimmer website and bought a bunch – including Twist & Stout, Spice Things Up, and If You’ve Got It, Haunt It.  (By the way, I just want to say that the KBShimmer makers are the absolute rock stars of puns…best nail polish names EVER.)

Twist & Stout – A deepened brown linear holo inspired by the color of porters, so deep in tone that it almost appears black in some lighting. Best in 2 coats.

Wow, is this spectacular. Twist & Stout is the prettiest brown polish I have ever come across. The depth and intrigue in this shade is amazing. It’s also a real trickster – in some lighting it looks almost golden brown and in others it looks almost black with gold and green shimmer. I especially love it outside on those cold, crisp and sunny fall days – Twist & Stout brings all kinds of admiring attention to my nails.

Spice Things Up – A warm golden hue shifts quickly into orange, while a rich coppery red tone completes this shade’s fall vibe. Best in 2-3 coats, 1-2 coats over black will deepen this shade showing off more auburn hues.

While Spice Things Up is a gorgeous fall shade that goes perfectly with every pumpkin spice product known to mankind, it is also a fabulous year-round shade that will look great no matter what the season is. I’m usually not a fan of orange polish, but this is mesmerizing. Spice Things Up alternates between golden, reddish copper, and orange, and I love it all.

If You’ve Got It, Haunt It – A deepened navy polish that subtly shifts to shades of purple and black, with a linear holo accent. Best in 2 coats.

I have really fallen for blue shades lately and If You’ve Got It, Haunt It is my favorite. Like my other two shades, this one plays tricks while it brings me treats. Depending on the light, it looks deep navy, or almost black, or even purple.  The green and gold holo is simply delicious, bringing depth and richness that has me constantly staring at my own nails. If You’ve Got It, Haunt It is a winner.

Stay tuned for four more beauties from the Up & Autumn Collection 2019 – Marcia has Trend Sweater, Vested Interest, Apple-y Ever After, and Free Fallin’ to share with you soon.  – Lisa

Recently I looked at a purchased container of crumb rubber and the little TINY print on the container said that if one comes into CONTACT with ,I believe it said their skin, to WASH immediately. Well, if this product has shown the ph to be almost 11 (which we saw the scientist demonstrate at the City Council meeting), I guess so!! …..wash immediately This is like touching and handling lye! ……or nearly like……I am shocked that anybody would want children playing on this, let alone dumping large, forever quantities into our fragile environment here.I have yet to see a good reason for this. Playing sports and the city making a little extra money from fees seems incredible to me. One of the first jobs of a city and its organisations and leaders is the safety of all its residents……… including the environment, the air we breathe, the products we dont allow around wildlife and the things we impose on anybody, but particlarly our children. ……..safety firstxIgnored
