I’m interested in what you think about this latest Fab Fit Fun box. It’s loaded with a lot of products that a beauty lover would enjoy yet I have doubts about it myself. Each quarterly box from Fab Fit Fun gives donations to a charity and this month it’s a wonderful one – Special Olympics.
If you have a yearly subscription you are offered an early selection of a few items while the rest are chosen by FFF. I couldn’t get into the selections early so I missed out on a few things I think I’d have liked. The ones I did chose are just okay. This month there were 35 items that they filled boxes with. I received 8 with a value of $354. This is my 3rd box and after I receive the next one I’ll stop.
Lyfestyle Co. Beach Mist ($42) is a body spray to reset and refresh your skin. It contains aloe, mint and lavender. Terre Mere Aloe and Tea Tree Toner ($54) is an anti-aging product to soothe skin and slough away dead skin cells. Neither of these are choices I’d have chosen. The toner is a big bottle, too big for me to send for the giveaway, and it’s not something I’d use.
I think it was clever to put in both a foot and hand cream. I have become a big hand cream user after all the washing I’m doing. Sadly for me this Spongelle Coconut Verbana Hand Cream ($18) will be too strong for me. I think Spongelle makes amazing products but not for this fragrance phobia gal. Cali Cosmetics Foot Cream ($24) is a blood orange scent but it also has menthol in it. Since I don’t have a lot of foot creams I will keep it but again, but it’s not what I’d choose.
HydroPeptide Moisture Reset Face Oil is valued at $120. What a price. It’s doubtful I’d ever pay this much for a face oil but it’s definitely worth a try now that I have it. It’s made with pure plant oils and rice bran extract. I tend to use face oils on my cuticles so even if I don’t like this on my face it will get use. This brought the value of the box up considerably!
Winky Lux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil ($16) is the only cosmetic item in the box. It’s nice to have an extra brow pencil but whenever things are “universal” they are usually too light to fill in my brows.
The Giving Keys Mini Key Necklace ($45) gives new definition to the word mini. This is tiny. It’s very delicate and the idea behind it is wonderful. It inspires you to “believe” and makes a nice gift. It’s too mini for me though. From the picture I thought it would be small but it’s tinier than small.
Yumi Kim Wireless Charging Pad ($35) is my favorite item in the box. I currently have a charging pad but it doesn’t always seem to work so having this cute flowered one is much more fun. It’s for a phone to be recharged without plugging in your phone. Keep the pad plugged in and just lay your phone on it for quick recharging.
What do you think of this box? Is it worth the $39.95 that a box costs? Are these $354 worth of items in your wheelhouse? — Marcia
