Here at the BIZ, we adore fillable eyeshadow palettes. Lisa loves to depot her eyeshadows and Marcia is a bit nutty about buying pan eyeshadows so she can mix and match. We’ve written before about our love for Z Palettes, and they have just come out with a beautiful Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Collection ($20 for a large palette). Z Palette sent the BIZ one palette in Green and one in Blue for us to review and share with you.
Besides the great pattern and color options available, we love our Z Palettes because the top is clear plastic. Being able to see what’s inside at a glance is something we really came to appreciate once we used Z Palettes and compared them with other palettes that have solid covers. We love how they hold eyeshadows, blushes, highlighters – in fact anything with a metal pan. And if it doesn’t have a metal pan each Z Palette comes with a handy bag of metal stickers that are included with every single palette.
The measurements for the large size palettes we are reviewing today:
Inside 7.44″L x 4.13″W x 0.25″D
I about fainted when I saw how totally gorgeous the Limited Edition Cherry Blossom palettes were. I was so enamored, I told Marcia to pick a color because I couldn’t even choose between the two. Marcia chose Blue, so my beautiful new Z Palette is the stunning Green Cherry Blossom Palette.
I decided to fill this gorgeous palette with my favorite red, white, and blue eyeshadows in honor of the 4th of July.
You can read my full review, including descriptions of each eyeshadow, HERE. I am dying to see what fabulous combination of shades Marcia came up with for her Blue Cherry Blossom palette!
Looking at Lisa’s Green Cherry Blossom makes me want that one too. But the blue is so beautiful that I’d never give it up.As you can see by my blurry card, it’s as easy as 1,2, 3 to use a Z Palette. You can downsize your collection and create your own color stories.
Since I’m on a khaki and green kick that’s how I chose to use my new Z Palette – I filled it with many of the pans from my Beauty Spotlight Team post and then added in other greens and browns to start keep some of my latest favorites together.
Inside I’ve got Senna, Makeup Geek, Afterglow and Inglot eyeshadow pans. (That middle one will be replaced with a more complimentary shade soon.) I’ll add in a few highlight shades from MAC and Painted Earth that I know will complement these colors. Then even on a lazy morning I can pick up this gorgeous palette and have fewer decisions to make.
Z Palettes are sturdy, easy to use, magnetic and they stay closed. You don’t have to worry about your shadows falling out since the magnetic top closes securely and the pans stay in place unless you move them. They don’t ever move on their own. The only negative we can come up with about Z Palettes are that the choices are many and each one is fabulous. Whether you choose Blue or Green Cherry Blossoms, Zebra or Leopard prints, solid colors, large size or small – you just can’t go wrong.
