Top Ten Tuesdays – 10 favorites under $10

How easy or difficult is it for a high end makeup junkie to find 10 favorite products under $10? I kept my list to items you can pick up at local stores or online easily. Surprisingly I had a lot to choose from but these are the ones I keep coming back to over and over again.

Beauty Info Zone’s Top 10 Products Under $10

Favorites:

1. Makeup Geek gel eyeliners – there are so many beautiful colors and they last beautifully. I’m a big fan of gel eyeliners and these meet my standards plus!! They are $7.99.

2. Urban Decay Grindhouse pencil sharpener – this pencil sharpener is the best $10 I’ve spent on a tool. It has two sizes and it’s perfect for every pencil and crayon item I have. I love this thing!

3. L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadows – I have at least 10 shades and I love them all. While I like the Maybelline Tattoo shadows, these are more fun. These are around $8 each but you can almost always find some kind of deal going on.

4. Pure Ice nail polishes – my real review is yet to come so you’ll see some beauties soon. The ones I have are all cream finishes and they compete with the big names yet they are $1.97 each at Walmart. Do you know how big a collection you can accumulate at $2 each??

5. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters – great lip colors for just $6 plus there’s almost always specials on Revlon. These are not scented which makes them just about the only drugstore lipstick I trust.

6. Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish – these come in the most vibrant colors and are very on trend. My collection has grown to about 10 now since I can’t resist picking up their limited edition shades. At approximately $4 each I can treat myself even when I don’t have time to review them! I’ve actually reviewed some for Prime Beauty though.

7. Aveeno Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo – I love many items from Aveeno but lately this is the one that gets the most use. I’ve put any other dry shampoos away and just keep my Aveeno one available to use. This retails for $7.99 and you can often find it for less.

8. Wet n’ Wild eyeshadow palette in Comfort Zone – I think everyone raves about Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone. Of all the WnW items I own this is the one I go to time and again. It’s even gone to California and Florida so it’s well traveled. At $4.99 for the 8 color palettes you too will love this. I’m surprised I never reviewed it, I think I just take it for granted that you’ll know it’s great.

9. Real Techniques brushes – I love these brushes and consider them a bargain. I buy them at Ulta and you can always use their coupons on Real Techniques. Many of the brushes are under $10 but the sets are a better buy since they are around $15 or $20 and you get more brushes and the travel case.

10. Milani Eye Shadow Primer – I try to write reviews for Prime Beauty for her Frugal Friday series and this is another I wrote for her. The Milani Eye Shadow Primer costs about $6 and it’s great. I’m never without a primer and recommend this as an alternative to the more expensive ones. You won’t notice a difference.

I’m sure when I read the other lists I’ll hit myself in the head “why didn’t I include that!” and I’m sure I’ll make a shopping list because “why didn’t I know about that?”. I hope you enjoy hitting yourself in the head and making shopping lists when you read all of our posts. — Marcia

Disclosure: Makeup Geek, Aveeno and Pure Ice were sent for review, all others have been purchased by me

Comments

  1. Nice list! I also love the AVEENO Dry Shampoo (wish they made it in a travel size) and the Infallible Eye Shadows!

  2. I am in love with your list! Many of my favorites – we really needed to do a Top 100!

  3. @Nancy – what a great idea it would be to have a travel size for the Aveeno.
@Jbrobeck- I could easily find 50 favorite nail polishes under $10, probably the whole 100.

  4. I’m so dying to check out that Aveeno!!!

  5. Nice list! The Pure Renewal Dry shampoo is one of my faves.

  6. The MUG liners are so pretty! I wish they didn’t transfer on me.

  7. Love all your picks! I am going to pick up the Milani eyeshadow primer soon….

  8. Yes!! The wet in wild palettes!!! Idk why I didn’t think of that!

  9. Love the shadow choices!!!!

  10. Thanks @Melody. I like the classic WnW palettes the most.

  11. Hi Harshleen, the Milani is a great find. I’m glad I bought it.

  12. @Phyrra, I didn’t know they transferred on you. I’m lucky that I don’t have oily lids any more.

  13. @Teri, I wasn’t a fan of dry shampoo before so that makes the Aveeno more special.

  14. The Color show nail polish is amazing! So many inexpensive polishes to choose from!

  15. Great list!! I love my Real Technique brush set (I think I got it from SneakPeeq a while back) and I’m 100% with you on the Color Show polishes! Just gave them a shot during a 2 for 1 deal and picked up the polka dot collection. I was amazed!!

  16. Hi Allison, I don’t think every Real Techniques brush is perfect but so many are that it’s worth putting it on the list. Plus they look good!

  17. Hi Cindy (Prime Beauty), I love the Maybelline polishes. I have one in my purse I want to wear and review for you!!

  18. What color is the lip butter and Pure Ice?

  19. I have been wanting to try the Real Techniques brushes and the Milani primer. My RiteAid carries Milani but had only face primer, not eyeshadow primer.

  20. I swear I must be doing something wrong with that Milani primer, everyone else loves it but it doesn’t work for me!

  21. @Christine, you might have gotten one that’s too thick. It’s sort of like mascara, one tube is great, another can be awful.

  22. @JulieB – be persistent. I was shocked to find the Milani e/s primer since the CVS I go to never seems to restock. It was on a card up high.

  23. I never tried the Milani primer, but will definitely try it soon. I can attest to Urban Decay’s pencil sharpener. It is so great.

  24. Erica K, they raised the price of the UD sharpener but it’s worth it. It’s such a perfect tool.

  25. Great List! I love that WnW palette and lip butters. Have you tried their walking on egg shells palette? It’s another great one!

  26. We have so many similar items. I love my Comfort Zone palette. It is my go-to neutral.

  27. Kimberly, WnW Comfort Zone has gone on many vacations with me since I can always count on it giving me several looks.
