This month Wantable brought me an Intimates Collection with a mix of comfy items and sexy items…and the flirty stuff is both sexy and comfy, a huge bonus!

Dreamwave Pajamas - Ruffle Trim Tank and Shorts

Dreamwave Pajamas – Ruffle Trim Tank and Shorts

Dreamwave Pajamas Ruffle Trim Tank

Dreamwave Pajamas Ruffle Trim Tank

First up, the Dreamwave Pajama Drama Ruffle Trim Tank and Shorts Set (retail value $28). This is a is a super soft and totally wearable lounging pajama set. It’s more for warm weather, and will be a go-to for the Michigan Indian summer that I hope is coming! The fabric is an interesting blue/purple tribal print and I just love it. Paired with the ruffle ribbon trim on the bottom of the tank and on the outer edge of the shorts, this is a stylish and unique set that works for around the house and for getting some great zzz’s.

Honeydew Essential Bliss Cami

Honeydew Essential Bliss Cami

The Honeydew Essential Bliss Cami in Yellow (retail value $30) is an ‘upscale’ cami tank. The fabric is crazy soft and silky. Check out that gorgeous lace trim…really beautiful. I love the tiny pink bow, such an unexpected and neat girly touch. The straps are adjustable, always a big plus for me since I have narrow shoulders. Wantable sent the cami in a size up because it tends to run small – a good thing since mine fits, but any smaller would have not have been good. This is another go-to piece for lounging and I can even see pairing it with jean shorts for a cool casual look during the day.

Daisy Fuentes Swirl Lace Hipster

Daisy Fuentes Swirl Lace Hipster

Cue the ‘bow-chicka-wow-wow’ music! When I first pulled the Daisy Fuentes Swirl Lace Hipster in Black (retail value $9) panties out of the box, the thought that ran through my head was these are NOT going to be comfortable, so thank goodness they will probably only be on for about three minutes. However, they surprised me…this lacy panty isn’t just sexy, it’s also very wearable. While I can’t wear them under lighter pants because of the spiral pattern, they are great with jeans and black pants – and they are comfortable enough to wear during the day. There is something about wearing sexy underclothes that puts some fun into an average, ordinary day. These panties are great incentive to mix things up a bit!

I am always impressed with the quality and fit of the Intimates Collection items, and the value is impressive – this month’s selection has a retail value of $67. Why not give yourself this little treat once a month?  You are worth it.  – Lisa

Going for gold this month with my Wantable August 2015 Accessories Collection

My Wantable Accessories Collection for August showed up with some great pieces in a new and improved style of packaging.

The box didn’t have any of the felt pouches that Wantable has used in the past…instead I found a sleek box that held the longer pieces in place, and the bracelet was packaged separately. I think the new packaging is a better way to ship necklaces.

My preferences lean towards boho, although I also like an eclectic mix with classic items as well. While I typically wear silver pieces, lately I have been wanting more gold toned items and this month’s collection was basically a goldmine.

Ella Headband (retails for $14)  This headband has orange, turquoise, and brown beads in a geometric pattern that looks sort of Native American. The elastic band is excellent. I love the boho vibe and this is probably the most comfortable headband I have that actually stays in place. Big winner for me!

Amy Jean Necklace (retails for $27)  This is a gorgeous pendant necklace. The turquoise beads are beautiful, and it is two-sided – one side is all beads, the other side has a cool gold wire pattern throughout the beading. A great, versatile classic piece!

Dream Catcher Necklace (retails for $18) I wasn’t so sure about this one at first. The dream catcher pendant is large and since it’s all gold I thought maybe it looked a little too cartoony…I mean, why not just have a real dream catcher, right? But once I put it on it won me over. I don’t have many gold necklaces and this one is fun and dresses up a simple t-shirt.

Stefania Bracelet: My whole box is full of gold pieces, which is good because I need them.  This classic bracelet nicely rounds out my Accessories Box. It’s very modern and chic, and I love how it can be worn loose at the wrist or as more of a cuff further up on my arm.

Overall I am very pleased with this month’s accessories collection. It’s a beautiful mix of styles with lots of gold, exactly what I wanted.  – Lisa

I have gotten so many great pajamas and sleepwear sets in my Wantable Intimates Collections, all comfy, cozy, and cute. Recently my husband remarked on my nightwear and said, “Why don’t you ever get anything really sexy?”

Hmmmmm.

So I went to Wantable and changed up my preferences a bit. There is a whole section for lingerie and I had quite a few changes to make. Really, if you are a subscriber it’s a good idea to make a date each month for updating preferences to get an even better variety of items.

So did my changes make a difference in what I was sent this month?

Drama Raw Edge Shorts (retails for $16)  Great sleep shorts with a draw string waist, coordinating pattern, and the same raw edging. It’s a great set for the dog days of summer! But what about the romance?

Daisy Fuentes Mesh & Geo Lace Babydoll (retails for $42) Oh, here it is!! Holy moly. The bra-sized top has pretty mint lace detailing and adjustable straps. The sheer rose print is simply beautiful.

This also comes with a matching see-through g-string.

Needless to say the husband is THRILLED with this month’s intimates collection.

So….I totally would have picked out the first PJ set, but I never would have gone for the Daisy Fuentes. And that’s what is so fun about a curated collection!  This month my collection has a retail value of $72. My hubby’s reaction to that babydoll set? Priceless.  – Lisa

I’m feeling fab with my August Wantable cosmetics

Wantable August 2015 cosmetics

Wantable August 2015 cosmetics

Welcome to my August cosmetic box from Wantable. This is the subscription that I’ve kept up since I first heard about them. I do love the surprises I get from a subscription box and Wantable remains in my heart. This month’s box is worth $74.15 and I paid $36 for it. I had $4 in credits so I didn’t have to pay the full $40 fee. That means I got double my money’s worth and I’m quite happy with the variety I received this month.

OFRA LIPSTICK IN AMETHYST (retail $13.15) is the item I was most excited to see. I’ve gotten a few scattered OFRA products in boxes but nothing yet that’s been on my wishlist, until now!! Not only have I wanted to try their lipsticks but it’s a shade in my comfort zone. Amethyst is a pinky lavender that’s midtone, it’s not too light and it’s not too dark. Nor does it turn on me. Ofra lipstick is quite moisturizing and it’s enriched with anti-oxifants, vitamin E and natural sunscreens. It does have a fragrance, that reminds me of grape popsicles, but luckily it’s pleasant to me. Good job Wantable. You pleased me right off the bat.

MODEL CO BLUSH in COSMOPOLITAN (retail $22) isn’t the blush I’d pick to go with the Amethyst lipstick but I’ll still use it often. It’s a warm pink that will work well with most of the lips and eyes I choose to wear. It’s got a satiny finish and I love that there’s no glitter in it. My pores aren’t taking well to shimmer lately.

MOSI MEI POLISH in PASSIONATE (retail $15) is a stunning nail polish that I’ll love in the fall. It’s a metallic violet that has incredible shine. I’m a huge fan of metallic polishes and this is a shade I don’t have. I love the square bottle and I’m very happy to have this shade. The Mosi Mei polishes are 5 free, cruelty free and vegan. If this wears well I see a lot of shades on their website that I’d be interested in.

CATTIVA DIVONO LASH MASCARA (retail $24) is my only complaint this month. I’m not complaining about the mascara though. I’m complaining that I’ve been sent 3 mascaras in the last 3 months. Considering a mascara is good for 3 months did I really need another one so soon? If they sent this in November I’d be pleased as punch but I’m not using it until November because I have their last two mascaras open along with others. What I can tell you is that this has beautiful packaging with the top being crystal studded. It’s a paraben free mascara. I just can’t explain how it works yet. There’s a slight chance I’ll send it back to get the $12.95 credited to my account. I just need to decide.

Cattiva Divino Mascara

Overall I’m very happy with the WANTABLE subscription box for August because it’s given me products I’ve never tried and in shades that work beautifully for me. Nail polish is on my LOVE list in my profile and the other 3 products are all in my like list so they were on track. I understand that there’s now an option to receive skincare as part of your box but I won’t add that to my profile since I’m overloaded with skincare. But it’s nice that it’s an option and you can decide for yourself.

What do you think of this box? Are any of these products you’d be thrilled to suddenly own? — Marcia

I love the days I find a Wantable package on my front porch. I never have any doubt that what’s inside will either be items soon to become a staple in my wardrobe, or else ones that go a little outside my comfort zone and challenge me to take a risk. This month, all my items are staples…nothing outrageous, but lots that fit right into my accessories wardrobe, rounding it out nicely and adding versatility.

Wantable July 2015 Accesorries Collection Ellen Scarf

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Ellen Scarf

The Ellen Scarf (retail value $28) is a beautiful light scarf with paisley grey print on an off-white background. I love it because it is so versatile. It works great paired with everything from denim to a summer dress. I brought it with me to the movies because the cinema is always so cold and it was a perfect weight to carry and also give me a little warmth.

Wantable July 2015 Accesories Collection Caroline Bracelet

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Caroline Bracelet

The Caroline Bracelet (retail value $19) is simple yet beautiful. This cuff bracelet is made of brass and has stunning chain link accents. Again, versatile is the word – I wear it with jeans shorts and a white t-shirt or with a summer maxi dress.

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Pamela Necklace

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Pamela Necklace

I can never have enough long necklaces, so I was happy to find the Pamela Necklace (retail value $17). This is a silver necklace with gold bead accents and a double chain. The longer chain ends with a coin pendant.

Wantable July Accessories Collection Earring Trio

Wantable July Accessories Collection Nala Earring Set

The Nala Earring Set (retail value $19) was actually a mistake in my collection! I was supposed to get the Shanny Ring, but got this fabulous earring trio instead. I think I got lucky! I love the little golden feathers and the other two stud earrings are really pretty when worn together.

Lots of staples that add versatility to my wardrobe in this collection! I am once again a happy camper. With a retail value of $83 this month, Wantable continues to be a subscription service well worth the monthly price. Wantable Intimates subscription collections are always a great mix of bold, sassy, and sexy, and the July collection is all that PLUS comfy. My collection came with three pieces this month – terry lounging pants and a pajama shorts/tank set. Give me a glass of wine and good book and I am totally set for the evening. Well actually this combo could last the entire day for me.

Noveau French Terry Pant in Red

Noveau French Terry Pant in Red

My Noveau French Terry Pant ($30) came in red – I am not sure if it comes in different colors for others. Red works for me though!  These pants are super soft and cozy, and I wear them as pajama pants as well as sweatpants during the day. Love the rope drawstring detail, too.

Rene Rofe Tuck Me In Set and Noveau French Terry Pants

The next two pieces are a set – Rene Rofe Tuck Me In Shorts ($21) and Tank ($21), both in a sweet floral pattern with black bow details and soft grey hems. I just can’t tell you how super comfortable this set is…the fabric is slightly stretchy but not slick; it has the feel of extremely soft cotton.

TA-DA!!

TA-DA!!

The cut is flattering and the set is so cute! I adore it for summer nights. Last month’s nightgown/robe set was more on the sexy side and this month’s gives me fun adorableness. Or as my eleven year old says, adorabolical!

The personalized intimates collection is always the highlight of my month. The value of this month’s box? $72, definitely worth the $40 per month subscription! If you haven’t subscribed yet, I recommend it.  Who couldn’t use more functional and fashionable intimates??  – Lisa

Would you want some Wantable cosmetics? Of course you would.

Wantable Cosmetics for July 2015

Wantable Cosmetics for July 2015

Each month WANTABLE SUBSCRIPTIONS delivers unique boxes to their subscribers. While Lisa loves the Intimates and Accessory boxes, I am truly a Cosmetic maven and that’s the box that I love getting from them (pr sample). Whenever I see a Wantable review online I like to read it to see what they sent to the subscriber and I’ve yet to find a duplicate among them. One thing I have noticed for the last few months is that the brand DOUCCE has made a big appearance. I’ve received three different Doucce products and other than the fragrance of the lipstick each has been a great addition to my cosmetic wardrobe.

The one thing that surprised me this month is that I received two items very similar to my June box. I was a bit put off at first but when I went to use them I realized just how much I liked the additions for July. In June I received a Doucce black liquid eyeliner and this month I received a Frankie Rose gel eyeliner in black. June and July brought me mascaras but they are as different as can be. The Chella Water Resistant mascara from June is great for a daily mascara while the Doucce mascara is wild and crazy (and a great look).

Doucce Volumizer Mascara in black

Doucce Volumizer Mascara in black

DOUCCE VOLUMIZER MASCARA is called PUNK VOLUMIZER MASCARA on the box. I was intrigued and frightened at the same time. At my age the word Punk isn’t in my personal vocabulary but what was the harm of trying this? Doucce says this mascara defines lashes one by one making them thicker and adding spectacular volume. My puny (unpunklike) lashes actually did end up with spectacular volume. I can only imagine what they’d do for someone who had great lashes to begin with. This is NOT a mascara I could wear daily because it eventually flakes on me but when I’m going out at night and just have a few hours, it’s definitely a go. The retail price of this mascara is $24. If I were to return it (which I won’t) Wantable would refund $10.67 towards my next box.

Frankie Rose Limitless Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Midnight

Frankie Rose Limitless Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Midnight

I wear eyeliner every day of my life though I wear brown more than black. I was a little upset with another black eyeliner until I tried FRANKIE ROSE COSMETICS WATERPROOF GEL EYELINER in MIDNIGHT. This gel eyeliner is incredibly smooth and applies like a dream. It’s a rich dark shade that’s smudge proof and waterproof. When I use this I’ll use Reviva Labs Eye Makeup Remover to get it off. It won’t wash off but it’s doesn’t stain. I’m a fan of Frankie Rose Cosmetics so whatever Wantable wants to send me from the brand is wonderful. The eyeliner comes with a small brush (2 1/4 inch closed) that opens to 3 1/2 inches. I prefer my own brush but this is pretty decent. Like the Doucce mascara the price is $24 with my price being $10.67.

Manna Katar Eyeshadow Stick in Spellbound

Manna Katar Eyeshadow Stick in Spellbound

MANNA KADAR EYESHADOW STICK IN SPELLBOUND is the third item and one I was excited to see. If it’s eyeshadow then I want it. What’s not to love about a taupe eyeshadow? Welllllll – it’s sparkle city. But it’s not the kind of sparkle that falls down on the job. Once I put this eyeshadow crayon on everything stays where I put it. It sets quickly and there’s absolutely no fallout. My cheeks and under eyes don’t end up glittery. This $24 eyeshadow is great with the punk look of the mascara so these will be a couple. And I’ll do my eyebrows next time I wear them – oops.

The last item in my box is a SETA Eyeshadow Brush. This brush brand is new to me. I have Tools listed under my Love column in my preferences so I’m always happy to find a brush, especially one for my eyes, inside. This pretty teal brush is firm yet soft and is manmade and costs $18 (return value $8) but I couldn’t find any more information about the company.

This month’s Wantable Cosmetic box has a value of $90 so you’d come out ahead with this $40 box. If you kept all the items then you’d have a $4 credit and next month’s box would be $36. Wantable has been sending out cosmetics for a few years now and they just keep making some great choices. When you are thinking of a subscription, think Wantable. — Marcia
