It’s still spring but summer is right around the corner, and my Wantable.com April Accessories Collection is definitely getting me in the mood for longer days and shorter nights.  My April Accessories Collection has three long necklaces and a pair of sunglasses.  I think I wear a long necklace every single day, so the variety in this box suits me.  This month’s collection features natural elements like semi-precious stones.

Marcia recently posted about her fantastic April Cosmetics Collection (read it HERE) and we both love the change in the order details.  Now, not only are the items pictured and described, there is also a retail value and a ‘your price’ value.  Very handy, because you can return a specific item and be credited that much toward your next collection.  Well played, Wantable!  It certainly works for me this month since three of my items are winners, but one is not for me.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Bess Necklace

1.  Bess Silver Necklace (retail value $14):  This is a beautiful long silver necklace with two different sized filigree discs.  They look like spider webs to me.  This is a pretty, feminine necklace that goes with so much, from a basic tee to a floaty sundress.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Alicia Sunglasses

2.  Alicia Sunglasses (retail value $14):  I have several pairs of sunglasses but nothing quite like these.  The Alicia Sunglasses are hip and fun, with a brushed painted frame and silver detailing.  The lenses are oversized and I know these will be perfect for a trip to the beach.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Bri Necklace S

3.  Bri Necklace S (retail value $19):  My second long necklace is very different, rather ethereal.  It has three rows of black beads along with a sort of blue, sort of purple crystal stone.  It has a cool bohemian vibe.  Love this with a simple black tee and jeans.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Marie Necklace

4.  Marie Necklace (retail value $26):  So this is the item that just doesn’t speak to me.  It has gorgeous details – a long double silver chain, silver etching, round ivory stone.  But the pendant is too complicated, too large, and rather clunky on me.   I can’t get it to lay right, which is in part because it hits me exactly mid-chest.  This is a great piece for someone with a broader frame and smaller bosom.

The overall value of April’s collection is $73, so Wantable continues to be of the best values available in the subscription box world.  This month I love three of the four items…and it’s still great, because I can send back the one I am not loving for a credit back on my next box.

Lots of fun in the Wantable February Accessories Collection!

Looking outside my window right now, it is snowing and blowing and the temperature is below zero.  I can’t be alone in wanting warm spring weather and fun, bright colors to match a shining sun!  My February Accessories Collection that I was sent from Wantable for review brought me a fabulous teaser for warm weather with four pieces that are going to get lots of play.

Wantable February 2015 Accessories Collection

Wantable February 2015 Accessories Collection

Like last month, my collection includes a ring, a necklace, a pair of sunglasses, and a scarf.  I am thrilled with the variety of items, and they all go together with silver tones and fun-loving vibe.

Courtney Ring

Courtney Ring

The Courtney Ring (retail value $11) is a silver stretch ring that looks like an arrow.  This is a bigger, statement ring that looks especially good with a white t-shirt, jeans, black boots, and pastel nail polish.

Macy Sunglasses

Macy Sunglasses

The Macy Sunglasses (retail value $14) have extremely large frames and the most gorgeous silver detailing on the sides.  These are going to be fantastic for maximum protection at the beach!  This is a pair of sunglasses that Jackie-O would absolutely love.

Sheila Necklace

Sheila Necklace

I am totally digging the Sheila Necklace (retail value $16).  This is a double layer necklace with fun silver disc details.  It looks like it would be very heavy but it is feather light.  The Sheila Necklace is just beautiful and I am so glad I can specify my necklace length preferences as this is exactly the length I like.

Suri Scarf

Suri Scarf

My final item is the Suri Scarf (retail value $24).  This is a lightweight oblong scarf in fun, springy mint, cream, and grey.  Pictures don’t really do this justice.  The Suri Scarf is one that works with any outfit, from casual jeans to a sundress.

Wantable is always a great value at $36 a month.  My collection this month had a retail value of $65, and I will definitely wear every item.  I think the best part about Wantable is how very specific you can be regarding preferences, yet every collection is still a wonderful surprise.

Transitioning into fall with the Wantable August Accessories Box

For August,Wantable paired up with Rachel Weiland for picks that transition from the dog days of summer into the cooler autumn months. Trends include hard metallics, sparkling beads, and vintage flair. Wantable sent a great box that is all about layering pieces, pairing up different lengths to play with focal points and create unique looks.

Wantable August Accessories Box

Wantable August Accessories Box

My August Accessories Box has four – or five, really, since it’s two pairs of earrings – items with a total retail value of $93. That’s beyond awesome for a $36 subscription price, and I am extremely happy with every piece (although the sunglasses are on the large side for my face.)

My favorite items are the Cece Earrings (retails for $12). I am head over heels in love with this pair of posts.

I am astounded that these only have a $12 retail value because they have a very expensive look and feel. The hamsa symbol earrings have pale blue stones. If you aren’t familiar with the symbol, it’s an ancient symbol for magical protection. Since I like to always have all bases covered, I am totally down with that. The hamsa posts are paired with pretty peach stone posts – they look terrific together.

The Karleigh Scarf

The Karleigh Scarf

The Karleigh Scarf ($18 value) is a lightweight infinity scarf. It has a feather print and beautiful shades of black, tan, blue, and taupe. This is a great scarf that is light enough for summer but will also work until the snow flies.

Ettika Necklace

The most expensive item in my August box is the Ettika Triple Faceted Ring Bead Chain Necklace (retail value $45). It has a short gold chain with three faceted beads. This is a classic yet unique necklace that is a great staple for any accessory wardrobe. It’s great on its own or layered with one or two longer necklaces.

The Bryn Sunglasses (retail value $18) are the final item in my August box.

These sunglasses have a really interesting black and brown pattern on the frames – you can see the that the pattern sort of morphs from spots into stripes. These are definitely ‘Jackie O’ style frames with major coverage. While they really are big for my face, these are the sunglasses I will reach for whenever I have a headache and have to go out in the sun.

I like the little gold fleur-de-lis on the stem along with the earrings. In fact, this a box of accessories that can all be worn at the same time.

I am definitely happy with my Wantable August Accessories Box, the best value I have received so far at $93. If you love accessories or need to build up your wardrobe, I have no doubt that this is the best subscription box out there.  – Lisa

It’s a headband that looks great with long, loose locks or with a braid or ponytail.

The Carlisle Earrings

The Carlisle Earrings (retail value $16) are delightful gold tone drop earrings with faceted turquoise colored stones. Talk about boho heaven! These stunning earrings work great with a loose summer dress and a casual, messy bun.

My favorite item in my Wantable Accessory Boxes tends to always be the necklace and this month is no exception. The Amber Necklace (retail value $42) is dazzling…photos really don’t do it justice. Distressed gold tone tabs are accented with light and dark green jewels. It’s a fashionista’s dream necklace.

The total value for this month’s box is $90…truly a great value for a $36 box. Wantable continues to impress the heck out of me. What accessories did you get in your Wantable subscription box this month?   – Lisa

Break all the ‘shopping for glasses’ rules with Rivet and Sway

I am really, really excited to tell you all about Rivet & Sway, a terrific way to try new specs and find ones that fit perfectly. No kidding, this is one of the coolest shop-at-home concepts ever – and you can get 10% off with the code BZSWAYS.

Rivet and Sway 2

Rivet & Sway breaks all the rules regarding glasses. Typically, people get their glasses either at the drugstore (for readers), the clothing store (for sunglasses), or the eye doctor office (for prescription glasses). What Rivet & Sway offers is a way to shop from home for frames that they can make into readers, sunglasses, or prescription glasses for you. Just check out the selection and pick five to try – the frames are mailed to you for free, and you get to try them all on and pick whatever you like. Shipping is completely free and could not be easier.

My five frames

My five frames

I went to the Rivet & Sway website and perused the styles. There are very helpful tips for choosing a frame that suits your face shape (mine is heart-shaped) and frame width (narrow for me). Every frame is labeled so you know if it will work. And if you want to try something different from what is recommended, feel free – just know those glasses will probably end up wearing you, not the other way around.

Rivet

Rivet & Sway Pantsuit in Purple Haze

See what I mean? The Pantsuit frames in Purple Haze are super cute and trendy, but the frame is waaay too big for my face. It’s meant for wider faces…I need to pay more attention to the recommendations! Square-shaped frames are not my friend. But hey, I send them back and it has cost me nothing at all. Love it.

Rivet

Rivet & Sway Poetic License in Cherry Bomb

Poetic License in Cherry Bomb is better…but still not quite my favorite. Round frames are cool, but I don’t think they are the most flattering on me.

Rivet

Rivet & Sway Layer Cake in Black Licorice

Now this I like. Layer Cake in Black Licorice, a two-tiered cats-eye, is much more my style with a retro look that isn’t too costumey. I like this very much.

Rivet

Rivet & Sway Faster, Pussycat in Tiger Eye

Ooooh, I love these!! The Faster, Pussycat softer cats-eye shape is a terrific option for reading glasses for me. Makes me want to put my hair in a bun and threaten to spank my husband for being naughty.

Rivet

Rivet & Sway Barracuda in Silver Lining

Now these are keepers! Love, love, love the Barracuda sunglasses. Can’t go wrong with classic aviators in a sleek silver metal.  Yay!

Just pick up to five frames to try and they are sent within two days. You get five days to try your specs before sending them back (soooo easy – just slap them in the box that seals for you, then put the box in any mailbox). Rivet & Sway has 7 tips to help you find the perfect frames HERE, and you can get personalized advice by emailing stylist@rivetandsway.com . And if you buy two or more frames at once your first prescription pair is $169 and all additional pairs are $99.

If you wear any style of glasses, Rivet & Sway is for you. Shopping couldn’t be more fun or any easier. When you order your try-on specs, be sure to use the promo code BZSWAYS at checkout so they know we sent you, plus you get 10% off your order!!  – Lisa

Wantable loves me…and the feeling is mutual. April Accessories Box review

Wantable loves me. You know how I know? Two reasons. One, they put this little note in my April Accessories box:

Wantable April 2

And two, they sent me the best box of accessories I have gotten so far. No kidding.  My most favorite selection ever! Here are my preferences:

My loves, likes, and dislikes

My loves, likes, and dislikes

I love Boho, Mix and Match, necklaces, sunglasses, hair accessories, and silver tone.  I moved a few things I actually love to the dislike list just to mix it up, including watches, scarves, and rings.

Beautiful packaging!

The packaging of the products has evolved into an upscale array of black fabric and velvet bags. Oh, and Wantable had the BEST advice for the month of April!

Wantable April 3

The love that Wantable sent this month starts with the adorable Abbie Earring trio (retails for $14). This is a set of small rhinestone studs, a set of larger rhinestone studs, and set of super cute rhinestone accented owls.

The largest velvet pouch housed the long three strand silver Kourtney Necklace (retails for $21). This is a truly striking trio of crystal, silver, and pearls. The strands are separate so you can wear them individually or together, whatever you are feeling that day.

Cleo Sunglasses

The Cleo Sunglasses (retails for $22) are right on trend for this spring with a tortoise-shell wayfarer shape adorned with gold toned studs. The shape is a little large for my face, but I like them anyway. I can get away with them when I wear my hair big!

All in all the box of love from Wantable has a retail value of $86, so it continues to be one heck of a value. Show yourself a little love and order your Wantable Accessory box today!  – Lisa
