Gorgeous Globetrotter Boxycharm for August is incredible (and there’s a giveaway)

I’m on my 4th month of the Boxycharm subscription and I’m enjoying it very much. Being a makeup blogger and cosmetic junkie makes it difficult to find products that I don’t already have but amazingly Boxycharm has done just that. Colors may be similar but the products are all unique to me.

BOXYCHARM sends full size products only and the value of each box is pretty amazing. At $21 per month and free shipping I’ve gotten over $100 worth every month. This month’s box alone has products that sell for $118.95. Now that’s a deal. One of the many things I appreciate is that everyone gets the same products. That may or may not be so good for you but we all get the same value. I just saw a post for an IPSY Glam bag that the blogger got things I wanted and didn’t get. That won’t happen here.

CoastalScents Reveal 3D eyeshadow palette

CoastalScents Reveal 3D eyeshadow palette

CoastalScents Reveal 3D eyeshadow palette is the first product I saw in my box and the most anticipated one. This 20 shade palette is reminiscent of UD Naked 3 but with many more colors and more purples. The colors are shades of cream, browns, pink, plum, gold, taupe, and more.

This sells for $39.95 but it’s on sale for $19.95 which is how Boxycharm valued it. In my first month of the subscription I received a different CoastalScents palette and it surprised me with the amount of pigment it has. So why didn’t I swatch it for you? Two reasons – 1) I hate to swatch and 2) more important I decided this would make a great prize for a giveaway so it’s pristine and will be won by someone.

Even though there’s a dark shadow in the CoastalScents palette that you could use for lining, Boxycharm included two eyelining products. MICA BEAUTY GEL EYELINER in Black (($35) and SETA EYELINER BRUSH ($16).

Considering I have 2,367 black eyeliners (or maybe a little less) and this is brand new… it’s part of the giveaway as is the Seta Eyelining Brush. The gel liner will definitely last longer than a pencil liner. The company says to apply the liner from the middle of your lashline and move across to the outer corner, then to apply to the inner corner and connect at the center. This is a new way for me but it does work if you feel you aren’t good with gel liners.

The tip of this Seta Eyeliner brush is thin and feels very firm. I prefer a thin brush like this since I can get close to my lashes this way.

Now for what I’m keeping from the box. NIOS SHIELD LEAVE IN CONDITIONER ($26) is something I’ve been wanting to try for a while.

Nios Shield Leave-In Conditioner

Nios Shield Leave-In Conditioner

Nios Shield is known for being a line that helps protect your hair from the sun because the products contain SPF 15. This contains Moroccan Argan Oil to tame frizz and keep your hair shiny and easy to manage. I haven’t tried this yet since I’m using my Tara Smith products but I am eager to use this. My husband would benefit from it because of the sun protection but I’d have a better chance of getting him to wrestle an alligator than use a leave-in.

The last is a total surprise for me. SO SUSAN STATEMENT SKIN HIGHLIGHTING CRAYON in Candlelight ($20) is so beautiful. I only have one other So Susan product (a blush that I love) and am thrilled to have this gorgeous crayon.

I love the glow! I love the color! And I love that I don’t have to sharpen it. This has no mineral oils, no parabens, no phthalates, is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. It contains Silk Peptide to promote suppleness and organic Chia Seed extract to help moisturize skin. With this unusual chiseled tip you can reach both large and small areas. I have tried it on my browbone and I love it there. To highlight with it glide it across your forehead, down the center of your nose and chin and then blend. You’ll have a subtle glow that will make you feel like a million.

Can you see why I’m so excited by Boxycharm? Products I’ve wanted that are full size and all new to me! Now you get to be excited too because our giveaway is for these three products:

Giveaway prize: CoastalScents Reveal 3D palette, MicaBeauty gel liner and Seta Eyelining Brush

OPI PINK OUTSIDE THE GLOSSYBOX NAIL LACQUER was what my eye was immediately drawn to. This is a rosy pink polish that’s a beautiful neutral. OPI created this just for Glossybox so it makes it more unique. If you need classic colors or love the softness of a pink polish then this will thrill you as much as it did for me. It’s full size and OPI retails for $9.50.

So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush

So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush

SO SUSAN COSMETICS UNIVERSAL BLUSH was another thrill for me. At heart I’m a cosmetic woman. That’s what I love so seeing this pretty blush was a happy moment. The blush is called Universal since it’s a color that will work on most skin tones. Besides having a beautiful shade it’s also loaded with skincare benefits like Buriti (an Amazon fruit rich in beta carotene and essential fatty acids) and uses pink kaolin clay to adapt to your skin tone. Very interesting that the color will be different on each of us. This full size blush retails for $23.29.

Kneipp Herbal Bath

Kneipp Herbal Bath

KNEIPP HERBAL BATH IN BALANCING LAVENDER is part of this pampering package. After a long day there’s nothing like looking forward to a hot bath. Kneipp is known for their bath oils and has been popular for a long time, way before essential oils became the craze. The bath treatment helps calm fatigue and even nervousness. This deluxe sample is enough for at least 2 baths. A full size is $20 while this sample at 4 ml is valued at $4.

12 BENEFITS Instant Hair Treatment

12 BENEFITS Instant Hair Treatment

12 BENEFITS INSTANT HAIR TREATMENT is a new brand and product for me. The goal is to correct damage from things like chemical processing, hair styling and pollution. It’s a leave in treatment that you spray on to benefit hair that’s dry and parched. It’s a sample size (value $5) that is perfect to try at home and to take with you when traveling. I find that the different climate and water in new places doesn’t always leave my hair looking like it does at home so this is a nice addition.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer

JUICE BEAUTY’S GREEN APPLE AGE DEFY MOISTURIZER will pamper your skin with its brightening cocktail. It contains a complex of apple, lemon and white crape juice along with vitamin C and peptides. It’s like a “drink of water for your face”. Since a full size of this wonderful moisturizer is $45 you get the opportunity to see if you like it with this .5 oz size ($11.25 value).
