May is an exciting month in the world of nail polish since Sinful Colors has three fabulous collections coming out that will make your nails stand out and your wallet stay fat.

Collection one is Color Rebellious ($1.99) which consists of 8 bright and beautiful colors. The Queen of Pop inspired these with ambitious super saturated shades to light up the dance floor. I can’t wait to see these especially the limited edition polishes and grab them up.

Limited Edition  Cherish Me – hardcore pewter polish with heavy metal glitter accents  Starlight – a star bright glittering gold metallic  Pop Queen – shimmering blue-grey metallic studded with bright blue heavy metal accents

The Classics  Cream Pink – bubblegum pink  Endless Blue – en vogue electric blue  Energetic Red – bright lipstick red with attitude  Feel the Vibe – vibrant orange shade Yolo Yellow – bright yellow hue

Sinful Colors Color Eccentric

Collection two is Color Eccentric ($2.99) which are bright and eccentric neon polishes reminiscent of the early days of David Bowie’s glam rock music.

Limited Edition

Diamond Blogs – neon fuchsia,  Interglamatic – vivid violet,  She’s From Mars – neon bright pink,  Eccentricity – neon orange,  Out in Space – neon yellow,  Jean Queen – vibrant neon teal

Illuminating Base  White On Time – a white shade to be applied under neons for the ultimate vivid effect

Collection 3 are the funky flamboyant Color Symbolic ($2.99) shades. These are reminders of Prince’s vibrant music.

Limited Edition  Cranberry Ca raze – fuchsia pearl with an unexpected violet flash,  Funky Fierce – violet metallic with a flamboyant gold flash,  Rule My World – decadent gold metallic,  So Symbolic – sparkling velvety purple

The Classics  Devious – deep blood red,  Pragmatic – feisty shade of lavender,  Prosecco – glittering neutral gold,  Tutu Thrill – pastel pink

Now that you know what to look out for let me share some of the NEON Color Eccentric Polishes that I was sent. As soon as this is available in stores I’m off to buy White On Time since I think the neon effect will be totally outrageous with the white base.

Sinful Colors Diamond Blogs

Sinful Colors Diamond Blogs

Diamond Blogs is a neon fuchsia that leans a little red. This limited edition shade is going to attract all the right kind of attention.

Sinful Color Eccentricity

Sinful Color Eccentricity

Eccentricity is a neon orange that you want on your tips or toes especially when it’s bathing suit weather. It’s not a pumpkin orange, it’s actually more of a pinky coral and is beautiful.

Sinful Color Out in Space

Sinful Color Out in Space

Out in Space is a neon yellow but with a more subtle look than you’d expect. It’s a sunny color that isn’t in your face – maybe because it’s out in space. It’s the color of the crayon you’d use to draw stars in the sky.

Sinful Colors Intergalactic

Sinful Colors Intergalactic

Purple lovers will celebrate Intergalactic. This is not your mother’s purple, it’s Prince purple with its brightness and vivaciousness.

Sinful Colors She's From Mars

Sinful Colors She’s From Mars

Last of the 5 I have is She’s From Mars and I loved wearing this shade. It is a bright neon pink but it’s also sort of soft at the same time.

Sinful Colors She's From Mars

Sinful Colors She’s From Mars

This isn’t what I expect when I see the name neon. It’s pink and mellow with the neon as an afterthought.

If you are a polish lover look to Sinful Colors for their new collections. These wear as long as the more expensive colors but the cost is minimal. Cheaper than a Unicorn Frapiccino, longer lasting, but just as fun.  —  Marciasinful colors neon bottles wheel standng5 free polishes (Tolulene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DPB and Camphor Free)

Sinful Colors shades for Valentine’s Day

I love going to Walmart and just browsing through the cosmetics section, especially this time of year. All those pinks and reds and whites make me want to buy one of everything! Luckily, the pretty new nail polish shades from Sinful Colors, Sinfulshine, are oh-so-affordable at just $3 a pop. They are ‘Gel Tech’ shades – their normal line is very long-lasting, but the gel tech colors last even longer with the special Top Coat ($3).  Here are some picks from colors they sent us to test that I think are just perfect for a V-Day mani or pedi.

Sinful Colors I'm Blushing

Sinful Colors I’m Blushing

I’m Blushing is an opaque very slightly pink. I like it because the light color really pops, so it’s a subtle yet attention-getting way to get my pink on without going candy pink. This was the only color that gave me problems with streaking – it goes on very thick, so be sure to wipe down the brush and do two very thin coats.

Sinful Colors Yours Truly

Sinful Colors Yours Truly

Your’s Truly is a pretty, feminine  pink. It’s girly, understated, and perfect for Valentine’s Day. It applies like a dream and wears like one too.

Sinful Colors Come Hither

Sinful Colors Come Hither

Come Hither is a bolder pink that I just love. This is more of a grown up pink and is stunning as a pedicure shade.

Sinful Colors Most Sinful

Sinful Colors Most Sinful

I don’t know why I am so into blues these days, but Most Sinful is such a great royal blue shade. If you are creative with nails it’s a terrific accent or artsy color to play with.

Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Topcoat

Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Topcoat

And don’t forget the Sinful Shine Top Coat, helpfully labeled as Step Two. It gives tons of shine and increases the wear time, which is already great.

Sinful Colors V-Day colors

Sinful Colors V-Day colors

I love Sinful Colors – this new formula of polishes last and last and I can’t get over how affordable they are. Next time you are in the drugstore be sure to pick some up. If you want some pretty shades for Valentine’s Day, take a look at I’m Blushing, Your’s Truly, Come Hither, and Most Sinful…even if it’s just for the awesomely suggestive names!  – Lisa

Gogo Girl is the quintessential holiday red – a hot, fire engine scarlet. It’s a great basic shade to have in your collection and couldn’t be more holiday appropriate.

Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty

Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty

Queen of Beauty is a glitter topper – silver sparkles in a clear base. It looks UH-MAZING over Gogo Girl!  The combination makes me think of a sparkly ornament, or a red sleigh during a snow storm. Love it! Like Gogo Girl, this is a fantastic basic to have in your collection because it goes with any matte shade.

MARCIA’S POLISHES

Sinful Colors Let's Talk and Cream Pink

Sinful Colors Let’s Talk and Cream Pink

LET’S TALK is one of the most beautiful metallic purples I’ve come across. Pictures sometimes make it look more blue than it is but believe me, it’s a dark purple that you’ll lust after. What makes this belong in the spring collection is the immense shine of this royal purple. All Sinful Colors polishes last extremely well on me and this was no exception. Compliments galore on this polish.

CREAM PINK is described as a bubble gum pink but it’s darker than that once applied. It is a shade that Mother Nature is allowing to pop out of the ground to make us believers in the weather changing. It calls for a pedicure so get out all your pedi tools because once you wear it on your fingers, you’ll want it on your toes.

Flight to See, Sail La Vie, and Gold Medal

Flight to See, Sail La Vie, and Gold Medal

FLIGHT TO SEE:  Flight to See is one of the Opalescent Trend Toppers. This works great on its own as a sheer plummy purple that is fabulous for spring. One coat would be beautiful over a french manicure. I have pictured three coats, which is how many needed for a more serious purple shade.

Sinful Colors Flight to See
This also works as a ‘topper’ to change up another color.

Sinful Colors with Flight to See over some of the polishes

Sinful Colors with Flight to See over Cream Pink and Let’s Talk

It really works best over similar pastel cream shades. I didn’t even take a pic of what it looks like over Sail La Vie because that was a combination best left unseen!

Sinful Colors Sail La Vie

SAIL LA VIE:  Speaking of Sail La Vie, here it is – a Cerulean sea blue. This is definitely a bright pop of spring. I thought it clashed with my skin tone, but I have to say I really got a lot of compliments on it!

Sinful Colors Gold Medal

GOLD MEDAL:  This is a really, really pretty metallic gold. It has a beautiful shimmer, and one coat looks amazing. I love Gold Medal and can’t wait to wear it with open-toed shoes!

Sinful Colors has wonderful, affordable options in their spring collection. Which shade will you choose to celebrate the arrival of spring??

Daredevil: A pop of neon pink

Decadent: Dazzling red with metallic flakes

Dream On: A brilliantly induced boysenberry

GoGo Girl: A sleek and sexy candy-apple red

Love Sprinkles: Bubble gum pink gleaming with white hearts and flecks of glitter

Pinky Glitter: Bright pink with a splash of sparkle

I was sent 4 of the cream shades to try and these are mahvelous darlink! Sinful Colors at $1.99 each wears as well on me as a much more expensive polish does and for sure better than Chanel ever has.

Sinful Colors Daredevil

Sinful Colors Daredevil

Daredevil is one fun polish. I couldn’t stop staring at my nails. Normally you’d tell me that you had a neon polish for me and I’d sort of run the other way. But Daredevil has a luminous glow to it. The neon isn’t garish, it’s just a cheery polish to wear.

I enjoyed every minute of wearing this.

24/7 is another pink and similar to Daredevil but there’s no neon to it. It’s just a hot pink that your toes are calling out for. This should be the first polish you wear come spring.

Sinful Colors GoGo Girl

Sinful Colors GoGo Girl

GoGo Girl is a beautiful candy apple red. GoGo Girl is similar to the shade of red I chose for my latest car so there was no doubt Ilove this. It looked perfect on me for 7 solid days. It’s a perfect Valentine’s Day shade.

Sinful Colors Dream On and GoGo Girl

Dream on is called a boysenberry. To me this has a lot of fuchsia in it, a purple tinged fuchsia. This is a shade I’ll wear for a pedicure since it will look great with white or black sandals.

While most of these colors are repromotes, Love Sprinkles is a limited edition with its white hearts and pink & white glitter. This looks fabulous over any of the polishes in the collection. My advice, get to Walgreens or Rite Aid and pick up Love Sprinkles and others in this heartful collection. — Marcia

Top Ten Tuesday’s drugstore favorites

If you set me loose in a drugstore what would I buy? Money is no object in this dream setup. I don’t think I’d overspend though because the things I really like and buy over and over just aren’t that expensive to begin with.

Yes To Blueberries eye cream – I was a little worried this would have a fragrance but if it’s there I can’t really tell. I’m impressed with this eye cream and am happy to recommend it. I found it with a $5 off coupon on it plus I had a 25% off CVS coupon so the price was just right. And the product is just right. The best drugstore eye cream I’ve used (and keep using).

Almay Oil-Free Gentle Makeup Remover Towelettes – of all the wipes at the drugstore this is my favorite. It’s not fragranced, they stay moist and they are gentle on my skin. While I don’t like to take off eye makeup with a towelette I will with this. It’s not great on mascara but it works in a pinch. The big reason I like these is that I really do feel clean and refreshed when using them.

Milani Eye Shadow Primer – this is a winner. I always recommend an eyeshadow primer and they have one of the best and at a price you can afford.

J.R. Watkins Liquid Hand Soap – it’s impossible to tell you how many of these I go through. There might be better liquid hand washes out there but I love how gentle this is and the wonderful citrus fragrances it comes in. I now have one at every sink in my house and a few in my linen closet so I don’t run out.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hr shadows – the first batch of Color Tattoo came out at the same time as L’Oreal Infallible cream to powder shadows. At first I was all over the L’Oreal but time hasn’t been especially kind to those and a lot of mine have dried out. They are still usable but the Maybelline Color Tattoo have stayed the course. The longer I have them, the more I love them. There are a few shades I really love like Barely Beige, Branded Beige, Nude Compliment and Sleek and Spice.

Eddie Funkhouser Ultra Definition Eye Liner –  I know, I know! I write about this all the time but it’s the best black liquid eyeliner I’ve found. It’s $9.99 and some of you are lucky enough to have a Rite Aid with Eddie’s products. The rest of us can go on his site or Dermstore.

Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick – totally impressed with these. I have two and I’d have a lot more if I didn’t own tons of cream blushers. These little sticks are dynamite on color, blend on my skin well, and last a good amount of time. Set loose I’d buy them all up. I have Pinched Pink and Pink Fever (shown) and I’d love more.

Sinful Colors nail polish – I’m totally impressed with these $1.99 beauties. I’m sure they aren’t all created equal but the three I received are fabulous. All lasted a solid week and got compliments for that solid week.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish – this is the other nail polish brand I’m always stopping and looking at. If I was set loose I’d buy all of these and all the Sinful Colors ones. The Maybelline wear well and have great trendy colors.

Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara – It took me a while to find this after My Newest Addiction reviewed it but seeing it on her made me excited to find a drugstore mascara this great. This has the most unusual brush. It takes a bit of playing with the brush to get big lashes but it is a winner.

CapriClear Spray On Moisturizer – this is new to me and I haven’t had a lot of time to use it since it was sent to test but I’m so impressed with it already. I know it’s number 11 out of a list of 10 but I wanted to introduce it. This non-fragranced spray on coconut oil moisturizer is so easy to use. Great for after the shower, out of the pool for the day or just about anytime. It’s not greasy so you use and keep on going. I’ll test it more and review soon. It’s available at CVS, Walgreens, Ulta.

Drugstore shopping can be fun but if you notice I don’t have any type of foundation or concealer on my list. That’s one area that is still missing a favorite. If you have any to recommend, bring it on. In the meantime visit my fellow bloggers to see what other treasures can be found. — Marcia

Enjoy summer more with Sinful Colors Silk + Satin

If you haven’t heard by now, Sinful Colors was cited by Consumer Reports for being one of the best polishes on the market. They compared Sinful Colors to Chanel and guess who was the winner? The $1.99 Sinful Colors or the $27 Chanel? Go Sinful Colors!! There are new collections available from Sinful Colors and Beauty Info Zone is lucky enough to have received some polishes for review.

Sinful Colors new summer polishes

The first three polishes above are from the Silk+Satin collection while the last three are from Full Throttle.

There are 6 Silk + Satin polishes all together in the beautiful collection:

Matte About Blue: A matte-nificent cornflower blue

Pipaya: A soft flash of coral

Prime Purple: A delicate dose of lilac

Real Teal: A quiet mermaid green

Silver Solution: A gentle, shimmering silver

Solar Flux: A subtle touch of yellow

Sinful Colors Silk + Satin

Sinful Colors Silk + Satin

I’ve got these three Silk+Satin polishes and I’m sure I picked out the best since I love these!  The name Silk+Satin is really from a technique show on the Sinful Colors website. Their directions say to apply two coats of the polish to get the demi-matte and then use their Satin top coat just on your nail tips. They look stunning that way.sinful colors silk satin

REAL TEAL is the one I went for first since I’m always drawn to a metallic shade like this. While Sinful Colors calls it a quiet mermaid green it performed as a cross between a teal and a green for me. Bright lights showed off the beautiful teal while other lights made the green shine through more. The metallic wasn’t a full on metallic because the finish of these is a demi-matte silk texture. It gives you the best of both worlds – a matte that’s not really dull and a silky texture that you can shine up with a top coat.

As you can see there’s subtle shimmer hidden in this metallic finish.

PRIME PURPLE is well described as a “delicate dose of lilac”. This is a cream finish that dries between a matte and a silk. I chose to wear it with a top coat because I love a glossy look.

SILVER SOLUTION is silver metallic but subtly so. It’s not a glaring silver so it’s easier to wear than a disco silver. It’s the perfect silver for your toes especially.

What’s amazing about Sinful Colors polishes is that they really are as good as touted. They look as great on me one week after application as they do that first day. The wear on these three has been phenomenal. It’s hard to believe I can walk into Walgreens or Rite Aid and for $2 walk out with an on trend nail polish and be thrilled with my week’s worth of wear.

If Sinful Colors isn’t on your personal radar because you thought the polish couldn’t last at that price, it’s time to change your mind right now. Silk+Satin are gorgeous polishes that feel so right. — Marcia
