Getting all glowy with Pixi Beauty skin care!

People ask me all the time for an affordable and effective skin care and color cosmetics line, and I am always recommending Pixi Beauty.  If you haven’t picked some up at Target yet, you really need to do so pronto – Pixi has tons of wonderful options.  More of an online shopper?  Their website is easy to navigate and they always have great specials.  I recently tried some Pixi skin care and today I have three treats to share with you.

Pixi Beauty skin care has terrific packaging that keeps the efficacy of the ingredients intact.  I love the aesthetic, and the skin care theory is that skin should have a GLOW.  Exfoliated, hydrated, and treated skin has a natural glow that is only enhanced with great cosmetics, so Pixi Beauty skin care gives a wonderful foundation for their color cosmetics.

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser

I read mixed reviews of the Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser ($18) from other bloggers before trying this exfoliating cleanser.  Here’s what Pixi Beauty says about it:

• A deep pore cleansing mud, enriched with 5% glycolic and soothing botanicals
• Formulated to provide effective cleansing, yet is mild enough for all skin
• Complexion is cleansed and gently exfoliated to reveal radiant and healthy skin
• Deep pore cleansing leaving skin clean and glowing
• Gently exfoliates and revitalizes
• Mud deep cleanses
• Glycolic acid enhances complexion’s glow

I am a big believer in double cleansing and always use a separate makeup remover first – I find that this helps treatment-type cleansers like this one be effective and do the job they are meant to do.  So keep in mind I first use a makeup remover, and after that I find the Glow Mud Cleanser to be very gentle exfoliator that is almost deceptive in its subtlety. I hardly notice that it is scrubbing or exfoliating my skin.  But over time it does a great job of decongesting pores, removing dead skin, and removing excessive oiliness.  I think this is a great exfoliating cleanser, especially for those with sensitive skin that is normal to oily.

Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go

Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go

If you are a fan of the Glow Tonic, then you will definitely love the Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go ($18).  This is a jar of pads that are pre-soaked in the beloved Glow Tonic, the alcohol-free 5% glycolic acid that keeps skin clear and bright.  It’s a dream come true for anyone traveling or camping.  These are so much easier to take in the car for a weekend away, or even to the gym to wipe down your face and neck after a workout.

These pre-soaked pads tone, brighten, hydrate, and gently exfoliate.
• Skin looks clearer & feels smoother.
• The ultimate travel-friendly, gentle skin renewal
• Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid
• Suited for all skin types

No need to rinse after using a pad, just follow up with a treatment serum.  And I just happen to have a great recommendation for you from Pixi Beauty, imagine that!!

Pixi Overnight Glow Serum

Pixi Overnight Glow Serum

The Pixi Overnight Glow Serum ($24) is pretty close to perfect.  The packaging is fabulous – it keeps all the ingredients intact and ensures their integrity and efficacy.  The ingredients include 10% glycolic acid and arginine, which really will make your skin look amazing and glowy.  Your wrinkles and fine lines will start to fade and your skin tone will even out.  The exfoliation is soothed by cucumber and aloe vera, plus there lots of antioxiants like vitamins A, C, and E as well.  This is a great workhorse serum that your skin will absolutely love.

Exfoliate & soothe skin with this miracle serum that works while you sleep to reveal a brighter complexion
• Formulated with 10% glycolic acid & arginine
• Helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and fade sun spots over time
• Enriched with cucumber & aloe vera extracts to calm skin
• Vitamins A, C & E to nourish
• Suited on all skin types
• Not tested on animals
• Paraben free

The combination of these three products – first the Pixi Beauty Glow Mud Cleanser for initial cleansing and exfoliating, then the Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic To-Go Pads to sweep away any last traces of dirt, tone and smooth skin, and prepare it for treatment, and finally the fabulous Pixi Beauty Overnight Glow Serum to further exfoliate, diminish wrinkles, brighten and nourish skin – give you a dynamic trio that couldn’t result in anything but glowy, gorgeous skin.  I hope you head on over to Target soon to these skin care treats for yourself!  – Lisa

Getting a glow with Pixi Glow-y Powder

Pixi Glowy PowderThe days have been dreary but my skin hasn’t!  Pixi has a wonderful powder highlighter created by the gorgeous lifestyle blogger, Aspyn Ovard, called Glow-y ($18). Pixi recently sent all three shades to test – two are all over highlighters, and one is specifically for cheeks. Here they are!Pixi Glowy Highlighter and Cheek PowderPixi Glowy Powder Cheek Powder

London Lustre:  This one is best for lighter skin tones. It’s a luminous soft champagne that gives a beautifully soft glow to cheeks, forehead, and chin. I also like to thin out my nose by using a darker contour shade on the sides, then smoothing this highlighter down the center of the bridge. Pixi London Lustre

Santorini Sunset:  Ahhhh….this one makes me long for a strappy little dress and long summer days! I can’t wait to brush this all over my arms and chest for a soft shimmery glow. The gold champagne is perfect for medium skin tones. Pixi Santorini Sunset

Rome Rose: Don’t be fooled by this one…it looks very bright, but it actually applies quite sheer then can be built up. It’s perfect for those days that you want a hint of glowy color, not full on blush. I know I will definitely use this all the time in the summer when I have a slightly deeper skin tone. It’s a really fabulous golden pink that should work for all skin tones.Pixi Rome Rose 2

The glow they give is actually quite soft – I swatched them pretty thick so you could fully see them. But actually they blend in beautifully and give a luminous, glow from within effect. The texture is like butter…so smooth and soft. It’s not the least bit powdery, so it actually seems to hydrate skin as it provides that pretty glow.

Overall, I really like these soft, beautiful, glowy powder highlighters. The pans are huge so I can’t imagine ever running out! You can find the Glow-y Powders and Pixi Beauty online and at Target stores.  – Lisa

Pick just 5 products from Pixi Beauty? Ooh that’s hard.

It’s Marcia’s turn to be Queen for the Day with the Beauty Spotlight Team. We’ve each chosen a brand that we love to showcase for our readers. You’ve read Never Say Die Beauty’s Too Faced picks along with Justina’s Clinique favorites. Now that it’s my turn I’m picking Pixi Beauty because I wear something from Pixi every single day.pixi-favorites-all

Pixi Beauty is in a class of its own. It’s an independent beauty company that has reasonable mass market prices with department store quality. You can buy most of their line by going to your closest Target or by ordering online through Target.com or on Pixi’s website where you’ll find even more products from them.                                                                       press samples, personal products

Choosing just 5 was a chore since I easily could have chosen a dozen but I narrowed it down as I’m a rule follower. All of my choices are so reasonably priced that your wallet will barely weigh less after picking these up.

Pixi Beauty Summer Glow palette

Pixi Beauty Summer Glow palette

Pixi by Petra has many great palettes so why did I choose the Summer Glow palette (Palette Bronzette) when summer is coming to an end? Two reasons – 1) it’s a great quality palette with eye shades and face shades and 2) it’s being discontinued so I wanted you to get in on the fact that this $28 palette is now only $14 while it lasts. With 12 shadows and liners and 3 facial products this works all year round. “Gilded bronzes, taupes & peaches for eyes + matte bronze, golden beige highlight & pink sheen for complexion.” I have gotten more use out of this Bronzette Palette than any of my Pixi Palettes. Perfect for travel and at $14 you don’t want to miss out.

Pixi Beauty Brow Powder Palette

Pixi Beauty Brow Powder Palette

This brow palette is my most used item from Pixi and I’ll soon be buying a backup. I’ve tried so many brow products and liked most but I love the Pixi Brow Powder palette. As you can see from this recent picture there are two shades that get tons of love while the others get used once in a while but those two shades are perfection for me. It’s hard for me to believe that this 6 color palette is only $12. My hair color changes every 3-4 weeks so it’s easy for me to vary the color of these powders. They are thick enough to stick around, they aren’t powdery meaning no fallout, and this removes easily with water which means less hair to lose. If I had to pick just one item of the 5 this Pixi Brow Powder Palette would be my keeper.

Pixi Multibalms

Pixi Multibalms

Pixi Multibalms: top Baby Petal, Sheer Sculpt, Soft Strawberry; bottom Watermelon Veil, Wild Rose

Pixi Multibalms: top Baby Petal, Sheer Sculpt, Soft Strawberry; bottom Watermelon Veil, Wild Rose

Pixi Multibalms are my newest love from Pixi Beauty. (Be sure you enter my giveaway to win them!) I’m a huge fan of cream products and almost always pick a cream blush over a powder blush. I’ve been wearing one every day since I received these. There’s one for every color wardrobe and one for every mood. If you twist my arm to ask my favorites I’d pick Watermelon Veil and Wild Rose. At $12 each you can have several for the price of one from a different brand. The Multibalms are great for an easy on the go lip color too so you’ll look coordinated. These are infused with aloe vera, shea butter and rose hip oil adding to my love for these.

Pixi Skintreats Nourishing Lip Polish

Pixi Skintreats Nourishing Lip Polish

Picking out just one lip product from the many wonderful ones that Pixi Beauty has was the hardest task of all. I love the shea butter lip balms, tinted brilliance balm crayons and Mattelustre lipsticks. But the product that gets used daily is the Nourishing Lip Polish. Another $12 product that is a 2-in-1 lip exfoliator and nourisher. Not only does it protect my dry lips but it has a circulation factor with the unique applicator. You massage the sweet nutrient rich formula onto your lips with the applicator. You’ll want one in every bathroom, your purse, and nightstand.

Pixi by Petra Nail Colours

Pixi by Petra Nail Colours

Nobody ever talks about Pixi’s Nail Colours and I don’t know why. They are terrific. They are 3 free and chip resistant. There are 42 shades for only $8 each. These slim bottles last for many manicures yet take up a small amount of space in my collection. Shown above are Gilded Garnet, Amethyst Amore, Fuchsia Dew and Sweet Strawberry. I’ve found some on sale at my local Target so I’m always checking for them. Like all products from Pixi they are cruelty-free. A Pixi polish is always a fun addition to my life.

While these are my favorites they are just at the top of a long list of products I recommend from Pixi Beauty. What about you? Any favorites from Pixi? Any you know you need to add ASAP?  —  Marcia

A primer on Pixi Skintreats and a giveaway to boot

Pixi skintreats allPixi by Petra is a double trouble beauty company. They woo us with beautiful cosmetics and they go after our skin with Pixi Skintreats. But who’s going to complain? Certainly not the Beauty Info Zone team. I have 6 Pixi Skintreats to tell you about. While you are reading think about which you’d most like to win because we’ll have 3 winners.

Pixi Glow Tonic in the new 3.4 fl oz size

Pixi Glow Tonic

pr samples

It all seems to start with Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic. This tonic put Pixi on the skincare map. For a very long time it was sold out constantly. Glow Tonic is an exfoliating facial glow tonic that helps tone, firm and tighten the skin. It removes dead skin cells for healthier looking skin. It’s now available in 3 sizes on Pixi’s website. It’s so popular in fact that it had another baby – GLOW TONIC TO GO ($18).

Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic To-Go

Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic To-Go

Glow Tonic To Go is a tub of 60 Exfoliating Toner Pads. It contains 5% Glycolic to exfoliate and stimulate cell turnover. It also uses Aloe Vera for healing and soothing. Last but not least is Ginseng to energize and renew your complexion. This is the same great formula that started Pixi on its way but in a convenient package. Take with you on a trip, to the gym, or use it at home.

Pixi Skintreats H2O Skindrink

Pixi Skintreats H2O Skindrink

H2O SKINDRINK ($22) is a tube of hydration. This is a gel that gives intense moisture. It’s very cooling when you apply it so it’s going to be great during the heat that’s still around. But it’s good all year since the formula with encapsulated water will immediately rehydrate your skin. It helps to plump and stimulate your complexion. The Skindrink is enriched with green tea, aloe vera, and rosemary. This can be used as your primer or your moisturizer.

Pixi Skintreats Milky Serum

Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Serum

Speaking of hydration Pixi Skintreats HYDRATING MILKY SERUM ($24) is all about keeping your skin rehydrated to reveal its natural radiance. This is a silky smooth rose scented serum that is lightweight and comfortable under cosmetics. It’s loaded with nutrients like Rosehip Oil, Vitamin C, Jojoba Oil, and Aloe Vera. All of these add up to hydration. The Rosehip Oil is a moisturizing super nutrient, Vitamin C is known for being a wonderful antioxidant to fight free radicals. With the addition of Rose Flower Extract this serum is youth enhancing. The glycerin in it traps moisture to the skin so you get a more plumped, youthful effect.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist

Pixi by Petra Hydrating Milky Mist is another Skintreat ($15) to consider. This is a spray that has Hyaluronic Acid to plump your skin. This contains a blend of black oat, provitamin A, and linoleic acid. This is used before you’d use any serum or moisturizer to add an extra layer of deep moisture.

PIxi Skintreats Moisturizing Cleansing Cloths

PIxi Skintreats Moisturizing Cleansing Cloths

Pixi likes making things easy for us so they created their own version of towelettes. MOISTURIZING CLEANSING CLOTHS ($10) aren’t your typical facial wipes. These are more for moisture and refreshing your skin than they are to cleanse it of cosmetics. Your gym bag cries out for these. The fun thing is that these are grape scented so you’ll feel like a kid again. They too have skin loving oils and extracts including Aloe Vera & Camelia Oil.

Pixi Skintreats Nourishing Lip Polish

Pixi Skintreats Nourishing Lip Polish

I’m not done!! Another Skintreat is Pixi’s Nourishing Lip Polish ($12) which I’ve been using since March (you’d win a brand new one). It’s a lip exfoliator with a massage applicator. It feels and tastes like a sugar scrub. While the taste leaves, the soothing shea butter and oils last making this very moisturizing and long lasting. I like to apply it just before bed. It smoothes lips with shea butter & a blend of sweet almond, apricot, and evening primrose oils.

Now that you’ve learned about 6 different PIXI SKINTREATS it’s time to win 2 of them. We’ll have 3 winners of two items each so make your list to enter the giveaway. You can’t go wrong with products as wonderful and nicely priced as Pixi.  —  Marcia

Brow and lash love for 2015

Make-up, applying mascara

As I was doing my makeup for New Year’s Eve I realized that the biggest change in my cosmetic life for 2015 was that I absolutely can not go without doing my brows anymore. A combination of age and illness created eyebrows that just didn’t cut it anymore. I went for most of my life not touching my eyebrows with much more than a tweezers. They had a great natural shape and were filled in nicely. That’s not the case any more. That’s why I decided to share the 2015 eyebrow and eyelash products that have made a difference for me.

PIXI BROW POWDER PALETTE  –  Shades of Brows

Pixi Beauty Brow Palette

Pixi Beauty Brow Palette

This is my most used brow product for everyday. My hair isn’t necessarily the same shade from color to color so I appreciate having a choice of shades that I can use straight or mix. Right now I’m dipping twice into the darkest shade and once in the one lighter since my hair is very dark at the moment. I’ll get it colored soon and can reevaluate how I want to use the colors. One of the best buys at $12 I’ve found. *

PIXI ENDLESS BROW GEL PEN

Pixi Endless Brow Gel Pen in Medium

Pixi Endless Brow Gel Pen in Medium

The Endless Brow Gel Pen is another best for me from Pixi. This is not a universally loved product but I like it so much that I bought 3 the last time I ordered from Pixi. It’s not really a pen, it’s a pencil that is gel-like in texture. It’s a heavier look than the brow palette because the gel is thicker. I like wearing this when my brows really need attention.

SENNA COSMETICS BROW SHAPER

Senna Brow Duo in Brunette

Senna Brow Duo in Brunette

I love Senna Cosmetics but I hadn’t tried their eyebrow products before because I just didn’t care about my eyebrows. Now that I have this Brow Shaper with the plumping brow shade and pomade I really appreciate why Eugenia Weston, owner and cosmetic guru, is so well known for eyebrows. These powders really cling to my eyebrow hair and fill in naturally where I’ve lost some hair. Another reason to love Senna. *

OMG, this is the best brush ever for eyebrows. It was created for IT’s Build a Brow Creme Gel Stain and it’s great with that but it also shines with every gel or cream brow product I’ve tried. The bristles are staggered so they really get into your brows to deposit color. This is totally unique and totally worth every penny of the $24 price.

BENEFIT ROLLER LASH MASCARA

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Officially named Roller Lash Super Curling and Lifting Mascara, this is one of my favorites of the year. I find Benefit Cosmetics to be hit or miss but after reading the raves for this I caved and I’m glad I did. The curved wand really does help curl your lashes although I always use an eyelash curler. The combo of the eyelash curler and Roller Lash gives me eyelashes that stay curled for a good 12 hours. This was good for me for a solid three months staying easy to wear and easy to remove.

CATRICE LASH MULTIMIZER VOLUME MASCARA

Catrice Ultimate Lash Multimizer Volume Mascara

Catrice Ultimate Lash Multimizer Volume Mascara

Catrice Ultimate Lash Multimizer Volume Mascara wand

Catrice Ultimate Lash Multimizer Volume Mascara wand

At $7.99 this is 1/3 the price of the Benefit mascara and almost as good. The Multimizer is a volume and definition mascara. While it doesn’t help add curl, it holds it well. The older this gets, the better it gets. Which means a new one is in my future.

BARE MINERALS LASH DOMINATION VOLUMIZING MASCARA

Bare Minerals Lash Domination

Bare Minerals Lash Domination

BareMinerals Lash Domination

BareMinerals Lash Domination

2016 was the year I realized I loved volume mascaras. Before that I always thought I was looking for length and definition but the mascaras I like best this year turned out to be volumizing. Who knew? Besides charming me with the polka dot packaging, Lash Domination * charmed me with the twisty turny brush and lashes that looked great. They call this a 10-in-1 mascara since it Volumizes, Lengthens, Thickens, Separates, Lifts, has All-day wear, is Mineral fortified, Resists clumps, Fights Flakes, and is Smudge-resistant. After reviewing * this, I bought another.

SURRATT BEAUTY RELEVEE LASH CURLER

Surratt Beauty Relevee Lash Curler

Surratt Beauty Relevee Lash Curler

Surratt Beauty Relevee Lash Curler opened

Surratt Beauty Relevee Lash Curler opened

I didn’t need another eyelash curler but I wanted this Surratt Beauty one after reading all the raves. Everyone has different shaped eyes and the lash curlers that a lot of people rave about (Shu, ELF etc) pinch me. This Surratt Relevee has been a delight to use. It opens widely, does a great job fitting my eyes and creates a curl that really lasts. If I want to use the method of inching up my lashes I have to use a magnifying mirror so I can see my lashes better.

As usual with a list like this, I’m sure I left out other wonderful products that I discovered in 2015. Even if I did though I know I’m recommending the ones that really have stood out to me. Have you tried any of these? What would you say stood out the most for you this past year?  — Marcia

Pixi Beauty has wallet friendly, beautiful LE holiday gift sets

This is the season that our wallets really start hurting. Everyone is bringing out gift sets that are too fabulous to ignore. Some of the ones we’ve shown already (or will be showing) are for those times when we can splurge. Most of our needs, wants, and gifts need to be more affordable so we don’t go into debt.

Pixi Beauty (Pixi by Petra) is in the latter category. Fabulous sets for yourself or for gifts. Holiday sets that you can put on a wishlist without feeling guilty. Perfect stocking stuffers and grab bag items can be bought for $12 to $24 from Pixi.

The hottest thing this year is contouring, highlighting and strobing as you no doubt know from reading magazines and blogs. Pixi’s Natural Contour Kit is all that and more! 4 facial shades and 8 eyeshadows can be mixed or matched for affordable beauty ($24).

Pixi Beauty Natural Contour Kit

Pixi Beauty Natural Contour Kit

The other trend this year is matte lipsticks. As beautiful as they are, they aren’t that easy to wear. I’ve reviewed two of Pixi’s Mattelustre Lipsticks and found them very comfortable and not drying. I can’t wear a true matte for more than an hour before I feel uncomfortable. That isn’t my reaction with Mattelustre since they feel creamy on my lips and don’t accentuate fine lines. The good news is that you can try them, or gift them, in a limited edition set called Mini Mattelustre Lipstick Quartette and it’s only $12. The shades are from their regular collection: Honey Bare, Petal Pink, Rose Naturelle and Bitten Rose.

Pixi Mini Mattelustre Lipstick Quartette

Then there are the very popular and incredible Silky Eye Pencils. These were the first items I ever bought from Pixi since the raves were amazing and rightly so. Now for only $18 there’s the Mini Endless Silky Eye Pen Quartette for this holiday.

Pixi Beauty Mini Endless Silky Eye Pen Quartette

I was sent this set to test out and I’ve been enjoying it immensely. I never, ever go without eyeliner when I’m going somewhere. I just don’t look like myself if I leave it off. It’s a need, not a want. But you will want this set because it gives you the opportunity to try out their phenomenal pencils in 4 great colors.

This giftable box holds 4 liners that will work with whatever you wear. Three of the shades are from their collection and one shade is a new one created just for this LE gift set: BlackNoir, BlackCocoa, DeepPlum and SlateGrey (the limited edition shade).

These are the silkiest pencils, you can smudge them if you want without a problem but once they set, they SET. You won’t find the colors migrating under your eyes during the day but you will find your eyeliner on after the work day is over.

Pixi Mini Endless Silky Eye Pen Quartette

Pixi Mini Endless Silky Eye Pen Quartette

Even though I’ve only tried this eyeliner kit out of the three kits, I have no problem recommending any and all of these three holiday sets. I’ve worked with Pixi Beauty often enough and wear so many of their products that I’m confident in these. They are ready to go for gift giving and for your merry self too. Don’t be late to the party!

Which set would you most like to see in your holiday haul? — Marcia

Top 10 Under $10

Top Ten Tuesday is always fun but today is especially so. I got to pick out 10 items that cost $10 or less to show you. With the winter holidays peeking around the corner you need to find some stocking stuffers or just something to perk up your own life. Here are some of my favorite cosmetic items. I’d love to learn what yours are too. — Marcia

LIPS

1.  PIXI BEAUTY SHEA BUTTER LIP BALMS ($8) come in 5 colors plus clear and they are totally awesome. They are a combination of a nurturing lip balm and a lipstick except they aren’t sticky at all. My blog partner Lisa raves about these constantly so I had to see what the fuss was about and now I agree with her. Pick from Ripe Raspberry, Coral Crush, Pixi Pink, Natural Rose, Honey Nectar or clear. I can’t wait to go back to Target to pick up Pixi Pink.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm in Natural Rose

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm in Natural Rose

2.  COLOURPOP is the hot brand of 2015. Their products are all so reasonably priced ($5-$8). They are known for their Ultra Matte lipglosses but those don’t do it for me. I do like their Lippie Stix though and I have several including the sheer Juice Bar in the collage. While not my favorite I appreciate all the choices and that they have matching Lippie Pencils for most of the Lippie Stix ($5 for the Lippie Stix, $5 for the Lippie Pencils). Totally fun pick me up and if you use the code “thanksbabe” you’ll get $5 off your order.

.

BLUSH

3.  Speaking of ColourPop, they have 24 shades of blush in three different finishes (matte, satin, and pearlized). The texture of ColourPop blush and eyeshadows is not what you expect. They have a spongy feel to them and are a bit tricky the first time you apply them, but after you get the hang of them you’ll come back for more.

4.  MILANI ROSE POWDER BLUSHES aren’t in my collection but they need to be. There are nothing but raves for these. At $7.99 if you see them, grab them.

.

EYES

5.  HARD CANDY SASSY EYES SULTRY PALETTES ($8) are in sturdy metal palettes with shadows that belie their price. There are 3 variations of these and if they are anything like the Smokey Eye Palettes that I have from the spring, then they are top rate. I still use my Smokey Eye Palettes all the time.

6.  SLEEK I-QUAD EYESHADOW & EYELINER PALETTES  ($8.99) are on my wishlist. There are 3 different palettes with three eyeshadows and a gel eyeliner. I’d have chosen one of the I-Divine eyeshadow palettes if it were under $10 but those are just above the limit at $11.99. This is a brand that I’m loving the more I use it.

.

NAIL POLISH

7.  SINFUL COLORS ($1.99) amazes me. I’ve had the opportunity to review quite a few of their polishes and they last a full week on me. I know I mention them often but there’s a good reason for that.

8.  PIXI BEAUTY NAIL POLISH ($8) is another polish brand you’ll hear about from me over and over. I love how easy these are to find at Target, I love the colors, I love the wear. I just bought Olive Gold at Target after craving that shade for so long. With 40 shades you’ll easily find some you’ll crave too.

.

HIGHLIGHTER

9.  e.l.f. ILLUMINATING PALETTE ($6) will satisfy your craving for highlighting aka strobing. 4 shades, $6. Can’t be beat. I just wish I could find the newer e.l.f. in stores.

.

CLEANSING

10.  SIMPLE SKINCARE MICELLAR MAKEUP CLEANSING WIPES (approx $6) don’t totally fit this week’s theme for me but I just bought them and I’m impressed with a capital I. These wipes are different than the other brands I’ve tried. They are refreshing and remove cosmetics really well. They are gentle enough for my eyes which surprises me. Normally I use a separate eye makeup remover but so far I’ve even been able to get away without that. These may end up on my Top 10 list of the year.
