Glimmering baubles in Your Bijoux Box December Collection!

Your Bijoux Box The December CollectionSometimes everything just works out. A week ago, I found out at the very last moment that my husband and I were invited to a black tie affair. I rarely go to anything black tie, but I had a dress ready thanks to a recent Stitch Fix order – this Maggy Sophia White Floral London Fit and Flare Dress:maggie-london-sophia-white-floral-fit-and-flare-dress
I winterized it with a darling Alice Blue black jacket, also from StitchFix. I just needed the right jewelry.  Lo and behold, my December Collection of the Your Bijoux Box arrived!! Everything inside was exactly what I needed to perfectly accessorize my party dress.                          sample, affiliate links

Your Bijoux Box The December CollectionThe December Collection from Your Bijoux Box is a coordinated set of four pieces that complement almost any outfit, dressy or dressed down. Each monthly box has three jewelry items for women (although this month there were three jewelry items and a pretty scarf!). The boxes are curated by stylists so although these are customized everyone gets the same jewelry each month. A monthly subscription is $36, and there are options for a three-month ($103) or six month ($206) subscription. They ship to the US and Canada.

Here’s what is in December’s box of bling:

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection David & Young Scarf

David & Young Scarf ($30) – I love love love this scarf. The geometric pattern is beautiful, the colors go with everything from a winter coat to a slinky dress and it is super soft and cozy. Awesome.

Deepa Gurnani Beaded Bracelet ($50) – This is a very cool, retro, sort of steam punk/art deco piece that has lots of sparkle and tons of personality. It is handmade by artisans and imagined by former couture beading designer Deepa Gurnani.

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette DropsYour Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette Drops

Juliette Drops ($26) – Wow these are stunning. These crystal drop earrings add fun and bling to a maxi dress and will be fantastic to pair with a silky sundress this summer. Total romance.

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette CollarYour Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette Collar

Juliette Collar ($38) – My exact words when I pulled this shimmering beauty out of the box: shut the front door!! Freaking fabulous. It was just perfect for my black tie event, but it also looks incredible with a simple white t-shirt (like the Citizens of Humanity Premium Vintage Esmay T-Shirt), skinny jeans (like the Rag + Bone Frayed Skinny Jeans), and black Acne Studio Pistol booties. citizens-of-humanity-vintage-esmay-t-shirtrag-and-bone-frayed-skinny-jeans

Quite honestly, I would have been thrilled if Juliette Collar had been the only piece in the box!

Your Bijoux Box The December CollectionAdd it all up – these four beautiful pieces are worth $154, a fantastic value for a $36 box. You can buy each item separately at Your Bijoux Box if you want…or you can get a single box without the automatically renewing feature. I am loving Your Bijoux Box more and more every month and I hope you decide to get your sparkle delivered too!!  – Lisa

My first Your Bijoux Box – October jewelry fun!

Your Bijoux BoxIt’s been way too long since I’ve happily discovered a subscription box on my porch, and I forgot how much fun they are!  I recently received the Your Bijoux Box for review, and it is a pretty neat little box of sparkly stuff – this month the box had jewelry AND cosmetics.

One of the best parts of a subscription box is opening it up.  This box is on the smaller side, but I definitely did a little dance of joy when I saw all the pretty bags inside.

Each monthly box has three jewelry items for women.  The boxes are curated by stylists, although these are customized – everyone gets the same jewelry each month.  A monthly subscription is $36, and there are options for a three month ($103) or six month ($206) subscription.  They ship to the US and Canada.

The October Your Bijoux Box has three jewelry items PLUS an eyeshadow palette – extra fun!  But first, the jewelry:

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

The Ombre Tortoise Pendant is right on trend.  I am seeing these long necklaces with square pendants everywhere.  This one has color crystals in beautiful fall amber, gold, and orange.  This is exactly what you need to pull together an outfit with a crew or boat neck sweater.

Tortoise Layered Bracelet

Tortoise Layered Bracelet

The Tortoise Layered Bracelet goes perfectly with the other items.  It’s a combination of chunky gold and tortoise-shell, and I love the easy adjustable fit.

Ella Amber Earrings

Ella Amber Earrings

The Ella Amber Earrings are sooo pretty.  The amber is sparkly enough to stand out with my dark hair, but these babies are still casual enough for every day.

Spice Me Up Eye Palette by City Color

Spice Me Up Eye Palette by City Color

Since this is my first Your Bijoux Box, I didn’t realize that every month there is a bonus item in addition to the 3 jewelry items.  The bonus in the October box is a Spice Me Up Eye Palette by City Color ($9).  The fall colors are beautiful!  All of these shades are metallics so they all have some sparkle.  The pigmentation is ok, but with a primer or some mixing medium they last a long time and the colors really pop.  It’s a fun palette to play around with.

Overall, everything matches – even the eyeshadow palette – but it isn’t too ‘matchy matchy’, you know what I mean?

Good news:  Your Bijoux Box has coupons!  Sparkles10 gives 10% off any order, so your best value for this one would be the 3, 6, or 12 month subscription.  Or, use the coupon WELCOME for an extra piece of jewelry!  Only 1 coupon per order.  They also host a monthly style contest. #YourBijouxBoxStyle a photo wearing or displaying the jewelry to win an overflowing box of sparkles! Share it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or the Your Bijoux Box Blog.

And if you want a single box without the automatically renewing feature, they offer gift options. And don’t you think you deserve a little gift?  I do!!  – Lisa

I’ve joined the #DecolletageEntourage with RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream and Lizzie Fortunato

RoC

Why pay extra attention to your decolletage? Because ladies that is the FIRST place that aging skin shows up — think about it. We take great care of our faces, but often forget our necks – that means no sunscreen, no treatment serums, no collagen support. That also means wrinkles and sagging. We need to take care of our necks, then wear fabulous jewelry to show them off!!

As a RoC Ambassador I get treated to some of their fabulous products, including their Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30 ($28). In addition to this beautiful cream that is a total treat for my neck, they recently sent me a STUNNING Lizzie Fortunato necklace to show off my results.  #gotitfree

The RoC Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30 is fabulous in several ways. It really is everything you need from your chest on up to your forehead. I see immediate results in terms of dryness and skin tone, and after four weeks there is a definite improvement in sagging and the appearance of wrinkles. Ingredients include the famous RoC Hexinol Technology as well as tons of vitamin E, which specifically targets the 5 signs of aging:  discoloration, sagging, dryness, dull skin tone and wrinkles. Plus, it has an SPF of 30 so it protects against the harmful rays of the sun.

The cream itself is absolutely beautiful – thick and creamy, yet it absorbs quickly and leaves skin soft and satiny. The rich cream and the elegant formula makes the Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream a huge winner.

With a gorgeous chest and neck, you need some beautiful jewelry to highlight the wonderful results, right?? How about a statement necklace from Lizzie Fortunato?

RoC sent me this stunning Lizzie Fortunato gold-plated brass collar statement necklace. Check out the semi-precious black onyx carbochon inlay — fabulous!!  What I love about this necklace is the versatility. It goes just as well with a white linen button down shirt and jeans as it does with a sleek, elegant evening dress.

I love the days I find a Wantable package on my front porch. I never have any doubt that what’s inside will either be items soon to become a staple in my wardrobe, or else ones that go a little outside my comfort zone and challenge me to take a risk. This month, all my items are staples…nothing outrageous, but lots that fit right into my accessories wardrobe, rounding it out nicely and adding versatility.

Wantable July 2015 Accesorries Collection Ellen Scarf

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Ellen Scarf

The Ellen Scarf (retail value $28) is a beautiful light scarf with paisley grey print on an off-white background. I love it because it is so versatile. It works great paired with everything from denim to a summer dress. I brought it with me to the movies because the cinema is always so cold and it was a perfect weight to carry and also give me a little warmth.

The Caroline Bracelet (retail value $19) is simple yet beautiful. This cuff bracelet is made of brass and has stunning chain link accents. Again, versatile is the word – I wear it with jeans shorts and a white t-shirt or with a summer maxi dress.

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Pamela Necklace

I can never have enough long necklaces, so I was happy to find the Pamela Necklace (retail value $17). This is a silver necklace with gold bead accents and a double chain. The longer chain ends with a coin pendant.

Wantable July Accessories Collection Earring Trio

Wantable July Accessories Collection Nala Earring Set

The Nala Earring Set (retail value $19) was actually a mistake in my collection! I was supposed to get the Shanny Ring, but got this fabulous earring trio instead. I think I got lucky! I love the little golden feathers and the other two stud earrings are really pretty when worn together.

Lots of staples that add versatility to my wardrobe in this collection! I am once again a happy camper. With a retail value of $83 this month, Wantable continues to be a subscription service well worth the monthly price. I’m getting ready for Mother’s Day with Helen Ficalora jewelry

Mother's Day with Helen Ficolora

Mother’s Day with Helen Ficalora

Mother’s Day may not be until May 10th this year but that’s closer than you think. As a daughter, mother, and grandmother I don’t want to be caught last minute shopping because that means I’m buying something just to buy. Thinking ahead is the key, especially if you want to order online.

Helen Ficolora packaging

Helen Ficalora packaging

Helen Ficalora is a jewelry site with products that you and your mom will love. I am fortunate because they sent the perfect necklace as an example of their products. The packaging is wonderful and set to give as a gift. The red box with the perfectly tied ribbon and the inner boxes are beautiful and sturdy. (My crooked jewelry box is a long ago Mother’s Day gift from my sons.) You know just from the packaging that there’s quality inside.

My necklace is a Sterling Silver Mom Disk Charm on a Sterling Silver 18″ Fine Chain. It fits nicely in the crook of my neck. Stamped disk charms are available in 14k yellow gold, white gold, pink gold or sterling silver. The prices range from $55 for the sterling silver MOM to $185 for white gold or pink gold. There are a lot of options too so that all budgets and taste can be accommodated. They carry chains in 4 different lengths and the same four metals so you can really personalize what you buy.

Spicing it up with Wantable 2015 April Accessories Collection

photo from wikihow.com

photo from wikihow.com

*April’s collection was sent for review, we include affiliate links for Wantable so we can build credits for future collections*

It’s still spring but summer is right around the corner, and my Wantable.com April Accessories Collection is definitely getting me in the mood for longer days and shorter nights.  My April Accessories Collection has three long necklaces and a pair of sunglasses.  I think I wear a long necklace every single day, so the variety in this box suits me.  This month’s collection features natural elements like semi-precious stones.

Marcia recently posted about her fantastic April Cosmetics Collection (read it HERE) and we both love the change in the order details.  Now, not only are the items pictured and described, there is also a retail value and a ‘your price’ value.  Very handy, because you can return a specific item and be credited that much toward your next collection.  Well played, Wantable!  It certainly works for me this month since three of my items are winners, but one is not for me.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Bess Necklace

1.  Bess Silver Necklace (retail value $14):  This is a beautiful long silver necklace with two different sized filigree discs.  They look like spider webs to me.  This is a pretty, feminine necklace that goes with so much, from a basic tee to a floaty sundress.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Alicia Sunglasses

2.  Alicia Sunglasses (retail value $14):  I have several pairs of sunglasses but nothing quite like these.  The Alicia Sunglasses are hip and fun, with a brushed painted frame and silver detailing.  The lenses are oversized and I know these will be perfect for a trip to the beach.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Bri Necklace S

3.  Bri Necklace S (retail value $19):  My second long necklace is very different, rather ethereal.  It has three rows of black beads along with a sort of blue, sort of purple crystal stone.  It has a cool bohemian vibe.  Love this with a simple black tee and jeans.

2015 Wantable April Accessories Marie Necklace

4.  Marie Necklace (retail value $26):  So this is the item that just doesn’t speak to me.  It has gorgeous details – a long double silver chain, silver etching, round ivory stone.  But the pendant is too complicated, too large, and rather clunky on me.   I can’t get it to lay right, which is in part because it hits me exactly mid-chest.  This is a great piece for someone with a broader frame and smaller bosom.

The overall value of April’s collection is $73, so Wantable continues to be of the best values available in the subscription box world.  This month I love three of the four items…and it’s still great, because I can send back the one I am not loving for a credit back on my next box.

If you’d like to start treating yourself to a nice surprise each month, here is a $5 Coupon to get you started.  Start spicing up your accessories wardrobe for warmer weather!  – Lisa

Lots of fun in the Wantable February Accessories Collection!

Looking outside my window right now, it is snowing and blowing and the temperature is below zero.  I can’t be alone in wanting warm spring weather and fun, bright colors to match a shining sun!  My February Accessories Collection that I was sent from Wantable for review brought me a fabulous teaser for warm weather with four pieces that are going to get lots of play.

Wantable February 2015 Accessories Collection

Wantable February 2015 Accessories Collection

Like last month, my collection includes a ring, a necklace, a pair of sunglasses, and a scarf.  I am thrilled with the variety of items, and they all go together with silver tones and fun-loving vibe.

Courtney Ring

Courtney Ring

The Courtney Ring (retail value $11) is a silver stretch ring that looks like an arrow.  This is a bigger, statement ring that looks especially good with a white t-shirt, jeans, black boots, and pastel nail polish.

Macy Sunglasses

Macy Sunglasses

The Macy Sunglasses (retail value $14) have extremely large frames and the most gorgeous silver detailing on the sides.  These are going to be fantastic for maximum protection at the beach!  This is a pair of sunglasses that Jackie-O would absolutely love.

Sheila Necklace

Sheila Necklace

I am totally digging the Sheila Necklace (retail value $16).  This is a double layer necklace with fun silver disc details.  It looks like it would be very heavy but it is feather light.  The Sheila Necklace is just beautiful and I am so glad I can specify my necklace length preferences as this is exactly the length I like.

Suri Scarf

Suri Scarf

My final item is the Suri Scarf (retail value $24).  This is a lightweight oblong scarf in fun, springy mint, cream, and grey.  Pictures don’t really do this justice.  The Suri Scarf is one that works with any outfit, from casual jeans to a sundress.

Wantable is always a great value at $36 a month.  My collection this month had a retail value of $65, and I will definitely wear every item.  I think the best part about Wantable is how very specific you can be regarding preferences, yet every collection is still a wonderful surprise.
