Robin McGraw Revelation skincare will reveal the skin that you love

Robin McGraw’s skincare line, REVELATION, is continuing to impress me. I’ve previously reviewed the night cream, Hydra Qwench, which is a total delight to use. I love this gentle moisturizer that is fragrance free and I’ll continue using it until there’s not a drop left. I’ll also purchase it once I don’t have a backload of others to review.

And now it’s time to review 3 more pieces in the collection:  FOAMING JOY, 50 FIERCE, and LIVE LIFE LIFTED. Revelation is a cruelty free brand that is paraben free, SLS free, and doesn’t contain mineral oils. Now that we’ve established that – – –

FOAMING JOY  – this is a purifying facial cleanser, the only cleanser currently in her lineup. It’s meant for all skin types and I can use this year round even though sometimes a foaming cleanser will strip skin of moisture. But this has a gel texture that lightly lathers and washes away easily. It’s formulated with Dynamic Infusion Technology™ a patent pending delivery system meant to transport active ingredients deep into your skin.

Robin McGraw Revelation Foaming Joy

The wash contains both Chamomile Extract which deep cleans pores and green tea oil whose antioxidants protect skin from free radical damage. Foaming Joy also helps gently exfoliate skin since it contains Vitamin C apple fruit extract. It’s not on my skin long enough to prevent me from using another exfoliator but it’s nice to have a way to boost collagen production.

Robin McGraw Revelation Foaming Joy

Robin McGraw Revelation Foaming Joy

There is a light fragrance with Foaming Joy but it doesn’t linger after it’s washed away.

50 FIERCE  –  This is both a moisturizer and a sunscreen which is the perfect way to start the day. When I learned that this is also a great anti-wrinkle sunscreen that sealed the deal.

Robin McGraw Revelation 50 Fierce

50 Fierce has SPF 50 (thus the name!) and protects from both UVA and UVB rays. The active sunscreen ingredients are Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (3%), Oxtinoxate (7,5%) and Octisalate (4%). At $52 it’s on the high side for a sunscreen but it’s also two products in one.

Robin McGraw Revelation 50 Fierce

50 Fierce works well for me and even though it has a fragrance at least it dissipates quickly so that I can use it without a problem.

Key Benefits:

  • Facial moisturizer with sunscreen protects skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays

  • Potent natural antioxidants defend against pollution and other destructive free radicals

  • Hydrates and nourishes for supple, visibly healthy skin

  • Encourages collagen production to restore skin’s elasticity and firmness

  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage

LIVE LIFE LIFTED  –  I love the names of the Revelation line and this one is so unique. Live Life LIFTED ($42) is a firming neck & decollete cream. Even though I know I should be using a neck cream daily I usually forget but now I keep this on the counter with my other night products so I’ve gotten better at it. During the day I prefer to use 50 FIERCE on my neck so Live Life LIFTED is in my night routine.

Live Life LIFTED is an peptide cream that contains hyaluronic acid so it’s adding moisture deeper into the skin. It’s meant to firm, tone and life the neck and decollete areas. It contains Dynamic Infusion Technology™ like Foaming Joy and it also contains jojoba esters, Vitamins A, D and C, plus sunflower oil. It does have a fragrance but it doesn’t prevent me from falling asleep.

Hydra Qwench Moisturizing Night Cream

Hydra Qwench Moisturizing Night Cream remains my favorite product of the 4 I use and one I recommend without  hesitation. You’ll love how it feels and how bright and smooth you’ll look using this and the other REVELATION Skincare products.  —  Marcia

Getting into a lather over Lather Australian Plum Night Creme and Bamboo Silk Foaming Face Scrub!

Lather Australian Plum Night Creme and Bamboo Silk Foaming Face Scrub

Beauty Info Zone is very, very picky about lines that we choose to become affiliate partners with and we are happy to say that Lather is a line that lives up to our requirements. Lather is a sustainable, no frills, cruelty free skin care line that is available online as well as in upscale hotels and boutiques. I have a few of my favorites to highlight for you today, plus a Beauty Info Zone exclusive code – INFOZONE – use this with any purchase of $30 or more and you will receive a free GWP, a Cleanse & Buff Facial Brush, an $18 value!  Soft as silk but 100% vegan, this ergonomic brush transforms your foaming cleanser into a luxurious lather while gently buffing away dry, flaky skin.

Lather has a full line of products for face, body, hair, wellness, and of course shaving – that’s where the lather comes in! I have two products to tell you about today that are Lather’s most popular products. The first is the Australian Plum Night Creme ($43). This is a richly decadent moisturizer that features a pretty cool ingredient, the Australian Kakadu plum. The Kakadu plum has lots of vitamin C, which is a wonderful antioxidant and great for fighting wrinkles and free radicals. The ingredients also include a 3 Amino Acid Peptide to help firm up skin, and ribose to help smooth out the skin’s texture.

Lather Australian Plum Night Creme

Lather Australian Plum Night Creme

Lather Australian Plum Night Creme

Like I said, this is a simply decadent moisturizer. It has a shea butter base so it’s amazing for those with very dry skin. It also has hyaluronic acid so moisture is kept in the skin, plumping and firming so that fine lines and wrinkles are diminished immediately.  This is a really beautiful nighttime moisturizer and I love that it doesn’t have any parabens, sulfates, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance or colors, and it’s vegan. The packaging is also great, with the airless pump guaranteeing the efficacy of the ingredients.

Lather Bamboo Silk Foaming Face Scrub

Another one of Lather’s biggest sellers is the Bamboo Silk Foaming Face Scrub ($25). Lather has a version of this for the body as well, their best-selling Bamboo Lemongrass Foaming Body Scrub, and the Bamboo Silk Foaming Face Scrub is the special version formulated for the face. It features superfine bamboo powder and jojoba beads for exfoliating, along with a blend of essential oils. It has no parabens, sulfates, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance or colors.

Lather Bamboo Silk Foaming Face Scrub

Once a week, apply this to clean wet skin and massage in. This creates a foaming lather that exfoliates away dead skin cells and oil which you then rinse off with warm water. I keep this in my shower and use it once a week in the mornings or whenever my skin is feeling extra congested. If you have very oily skin or tend to break out, this is a great product for you. It’s also very good if you have super dry or flaky skin. I would say that if you have normal skin you probably don’t need it – your regular skin care routine is probably enough, especially if you have a good serum and toner already. But if you need extra exfoliation, this is an excellent option.
Check out the entire Lather Skin Care line at  And remember, use the Beauty Info Zone exclusive code – INFOZONE – with any purchase of $30 or more and you will receive a free GWP, a Cleanse & Buff Facial Brush, an $18 value! – Lisa

Calling all dry skin beauties, here’s VERTERE Dramatic Transformation Cream to help

Vertere Dramatic Transformation Cream

How would you like a 5 in 1 product to help you save time? Vertere Dramatic Transformation Cream may be the solution you’ve been looking for. It’s not only a moisturizer but it’s also a wrinkle smoother, imperfection minimizer, dark spot brightener, and sun protection. At $135 I consider this a luxury product but I’d be able to eliminate many products and just use one step saving me time in the morning.

I was sent a .27 oz size for testing purposes. Because the jar is so small and my eyes are so bad I didn’t notice the SPF 18 on it at first. You could use it at night but I want to save it for day to get the most out of this cream as it’s meant to deeply moisturize your skin for lasting hydration.

Vertere Dramatic Transformation Cream

I find Vertere Dramatic Transformation Cream to be very rich. A little goes a long way as a matter of fact they suggest using a pea size drop for your entire face. And that’s really enough because of the easy way it applies. I’m now saving mine for cooler weather. The key ingredients prove why this is an excellent choice for older skin.

Key Active Ingredients

  • Lactic acid in a ten percent concentration provides a high skin cell renewal rate with a very low irritation level
  • Salicylic acid combines with lactic acid to synergistically amplify clarity
  • Alpha Arbutin produces faster and more pronounced lightening after 30 days compared to kojic acid and hydroquinone – and is a safer alternative to hydroquinone, which is banned everywhere except the United States due to carcinogenic concerns and is unsuitable for dark skin tones
  • Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate inhibits muscle contractions for a smoothing, anti-wrinkle effect; studies have shown 52 percent wrinkle reduction after 28 days
  • Omegas 3, 6 and 9 help rebuild skin’s barrier and retain moisture
  • Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, an organic peptide, has been shown to help protect against collagen degradation and reduce skin roughness

Vertere Dramatic Transformation Cream

According to Vertere; Our high-performance formula delivers visible, quick results*:

  • In 72 hours, see visible improvement in texture and luminousity
  • In 14 days, fine lines and wrinkles appear smoother
  • In 30 days, dark spots appear brightened

I’ve used this off and on for about 2 weeks and have seen some improvement. In the summer my skin isn’t as dry as it is in late fall and winter so saving this is best for my skin. Very dry skin will enjoy it all year round and we know that SPF is important year round.  —  Marcia

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser and Skin Repair™ Moisturiser

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser and Skin Repair™ Moisturiser Normal/Combination

I am always up for trying new skin care lines and Liz Earle is one that has me surprised and delighted. Sometimes I find a product that I know will become a forever favorite and I have found one from Liz Earle Naturally Active Skin Care. This line was created in 1995 and it’s cruelty-free and made with ethically sourced botanical ingredients. I tested the Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser ($24) and the Skin Repair™ Moisturiser Normal/Combination ($40), and one of them will forever be in my skin care lineup!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser

I had my doubts about the Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser ($24) for several reasons going in. First, I am a huge believer in double cleansing. I get amazing results when I start by cleansing with a makeup remover then a creamy cleanser. I tend to use full coverage concealer and foundation and I also use dramatic mascara so this system of cleansing never lets me down. The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser challenged me to rethink this method. This cleanser comes with two pure cotton cloths so you can always have one on hand whilst one is in the wash. You apply the creamy cleansing cream to dry skin – go ahead, smear it right over those eyeshadow and mascara covered eyes – then wipe it off with the warm, damp cotton cloth. This exfoliates and cleanses the skin, taking off makeup and exfoliating the dead skin cells at the same time. Like I said, I was skeptical…my makeup is pretty bulletproof and it needs a heavy-duty cleanser. But I am impressed! This cleanser cleans everything off, no problem. It leaves my skin feeling amazing…soft, hydrated, and clean clean clean. Even my eyes! No need at all for any makeup remover.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser

Second, I was a little reluctant to put this around my eyes because it has eucalyptus as an ingredient. It even smells a little like menthol. I thought for sure this is going to burn…but nope. It’s so gentle. I put it all over my face, all over my eyes, and absolutely no problem at all.

Third, I thought it would be too much to exfoliate every single day. Wrong again Lisa! The exfoliation is very gentle but wow does it make a difference.  My skin has never looked so good.  Soft and glowy and so smooth…it makes a huge difference.

I follow the Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser with a toner, a treatment serum, and then the Skin Repair™ Moisturiser Normal/Combination ($40). This is a very nice creamy, non-greasy moisturizer that is hydrating and soothing. It plumps up skin so it helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The major ingredients are very nice, including avocado and borage oil, vitamin E, and echinacea. This is a medium weight moisturizer that is best for normal to combination skin. It would be too heavy for oily skin, and probably not moisturizing enough for very dry skin.

Skin Repair™ Moisturiser Normal/Combination

Skin Repair™ Moisturiser Normal/Combination

I like both products, but the real winner and the one that I will repurchase over and over is the Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser. With the 600 different cleansers I have on my bathroom counter, this is the one I reach for over and over. It’s a winner!! You can find Liz Earle products online at, on, and in the UK at various stores and boutiques.  – Lisa

Introducing USANA-Celavive skincare with a giveaway

USANA/Celavive Skincare line for sensitive to dry skin

As an introduction to Celavive Skincare I was sent the Vitalizing Serum to test out. I had spoken with an associate of the new skincare line from USANA and expressed my concerns about the fragrance. I love trying different brands of skincare but didn’t want to have the company send me a line that I couldn’t use. The associate was so kind and sent me the Vitalizing Serum to try and see how I’d fare with the line. I received it as I was waiting for a car to whisk me away for my three week overseas vacation so I quickly unwrapped it, applied some to my hand, knew I could use it, and took it with me in my carry-on. Therefore I’ve used the Vitalizing Serum for even longer than the rest of the line and now know I feel great about recommending these products.

USANA is a worldwide company and is sold in 21 markets. They introduced these skincare products that utilize Incelligence technology which works at the cellular level to provide the necessary nutrients to prevent aging and turn back time. Turning back time sounds like a good idea to me!

Their philosophy is that your skin cells—or keratinocytes—are responsible for creating a healthy barrier that keeps pollutants out and hydration in. They preserve the soft elastic tissues that boost the plump appearance of the skin from the inside.

The Celavive Cell-Signaling Complex also delivers botanical nutrients directly to the keratinocytes. These nutrients bind with the important signaling molecule PPAR to maximize hydration and optimize the natural lipid production needed to combat environmental stress, supporting your body’s natural defense against visible aging.

By supporting this natural defense process, additional lipids are introduced further into the soft layer of the skin, promoting the feeling of intense moisturization and plumping effects.

I have 6 products for sensitive and dry skin and I’ve been using them for over the last month (and the serum almost 2). My sensitive nose gives USANA/Celavive an okay since the items are not overly fragranced and nothing I notice is long lasting.

Celavive Gentle Milk Cleanser

For dry skin the Gentle Milk Cleanser is the recommended product. This is a creamy everyday cleanser that leaves my skin feeling hydrated while washing away the dirt, oil and cosmetics of the day. It lathers lightly on me and doesn’t leave a film behind. All of the Celavive line contains Olivol Botanical Blend which is comprised of fruit extracts that have been clinically shown to provide 24 hours of rich hydration after just one application.

Celavive Perfecting Toner

Next step is the Perfecting Toner. I know not everyone believes in using a toner but it really is a great step in a skincare regime. This is how you balance your skin and maintain proper moisture levels. Perfecting Toner aids in maintaining your pH level and readies your skin for your moisturizer. Like all Celavive products it’s paraben free.

Whether it’s day or evening there’s a specialized moisturizer for you. For dry to sensitive skin you’ll find Protective Day Cream and Replenishing Night Cream. For oily or combination skin there’s Protective Day Lotion SPF 30 and Replenishing Night Gel.

The Protective Day Cream makes me happy since it has four UV filters making this cream rich and keeping my skin protected. The day cream has SPF30 and wears well under my foundation. It contains Avoberizone 3%, Homosalate 10%, Octinorate 7.5%, and Octocrylene 2%. It’s rare to find that many filters in a moisturizer. Not only are you receiving a good amount of sunscreen protection but you’re getting great hydration from UVA/UVB rays.

Celavive Protective Day Cream

Celavive Protective Day Cream

Replenishing Night Cream wants to supercharge your sleep. Put your skincare to work while you finally get some rest. Now this is where I usually get in trouble with products that have fragrance but that hasn’t happened with this night cream. I smell green citrus with this so I’m thrilled. It’s not perfumed, it uses botanical extracts which works for me. The cream is lighter in feel than the Protective Day Cream but it’s just as rich. It’s meant to fight the appearance of wrinkles and restore your youthful complexion. I’m a fighter when it comes to wrinkles and Replenishing Night is making that fight more effective.

Celavive Replenishing Night Cream

Celavive Replenishing Night Cream

I’ve saved the best for last. I am a big fan of using serum on my face and a huge fan of eye creams. My personal goal is to try them all. I’m extra glad that I’ve got Celavive in my serum and eye cream corner.

The Vitalizing Serum is the product that I’ve used the longest. I’ve used this with a variety of skincare products, not just Celavive and it works wonderfully with everything. It’s a bit tacky when I first apply it but I let it settle in and then put on my moisturizer. I’ve been using this more at night than in the day since I usually am in a hurry in the morning and want everything done quickly.
Let’s look at what Celavive says that the Vitalizing Serum can do: “Dramatically reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, large pores, and the visual loss of elasticity to restore a healthy, youthful radiance to your skin. After just one application, skin is noticeably younger looking. Featuring natural botanicals and cell-signaling peptides, this breakthrough, water-based formulation supports your skin’s natural beauty-preserving functions.”

Celavive Vitalizing Serum

The Vitalizing Serum has the strongest aroma of the rest of the line, it’s a light floral with emphasis on the light. I find it to be protective and works on all those fine lines. My pores aren’t different but then again it’s hard for any product to make those less of a problem for me BUT they are really only noticeable to me and in close up photos. The serum is the only serum that Celavive makes since it’s good for all skin types.

And then there’s the Hydrating Eye Essence. You know I can’t be without my eye creams, serums and now essence! Two things make this stand out to me. First the delivery system which is so refreshing.

Celavive Hydrating Eye Essence

The top brings a cooling feeling to your eyes which helps with depuffing and dark circles. This baby is one that gets used in the morning when I’m applying my face.

The second thing that makes this stand out is the formula which features a combination of cell-signaling peptides, avocado oil, apricot fruit extract, and gingko biloba extract to visibly lessen the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines.

Celavive Hydrating Eye Essence

I like a slightly fuller eye cream in the evening so this Hydrating Eye Essence is my daytime choice. It doesn’t interfere with eye makeup since it dries down. It’s not as emollient as other products but it’s not a cream, it’s more of a lotion. I apply this before moisturizing, I don’t bring my moisturizer up to my eyes so they meet partway.

Now you have the story of my latest skincare regime. Celavive, owned by USANA, is a new line for the US market and can be purchased from their website. If you are like me and want to use products that will make a difference in your skin then you need to try this out sooner rather than later. To help you along Beauty Info Zone has a giveaway for the Vitalizing Serum that we’re excited to offer to one US/Canadian subscriber.

As usual there are two mandatory entries which are checked before announcing a winner. You absolutely MUST be an email subscriber to Beauty Info Zone and you must leave a comment. Not too hard is it? Of course that doesn’t mean that everyone does this so many people get eliminated. The giveaway is open through 5/24/18 at 11:59 p.m. EST. I hope that the winner finds that Celavive will make a big difference in their skin too.  —  Marcia

Sheer luxury with Golden Door Daily Renewal Treatment and Golden Face Oil

Golden Door Daily Renewal Treatment and Golden Face Oil

Sheer luxury.  That’s what runs through my mind every time I use my Golden Door products.  They make me feel amazing every time I use them, and not just because the products are wonderful.  There is something about the packaging that instantly makes me feel calm and peaceful.  Something about the soft fragrances that instantly relax me and makes me feel pampered.  It is like Golden Door puts their famous spa into every jar of product they produce.  Add to that the knowledge that 100% of Golden Door’s net profits go to help end child abuse and transform young lives, and I am always completely happy when I use their products.

Two products in particular that are impressing me right now are the Golden Face Oil and the Daily Renewal Treatment.

The Golden Face Oil ($60) is a wonderfully luxurious face oil that tackles fine lines and wrinkles with an elegant formula that isn’t greasy or heavy.  It has excellent antioxidant ingredients:

ROSE HIP OIL – Vitamin-rich and packed with omega, skin looks smoother, plumper, and lessens the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and premature aging.

SEA BUCKTHORN OIL – The world’s richest source of Omega 7, a fatty acid that boosts collagen production.

SQUALENE – Creates a barrier against everyday toxins and pollutants to prevent moisture loss.

BLEND OF 1O ESSENTIAL OILS – Immediate boost of invigorating oils that tone and brighten the skins complexion with a dewy finish.

YUZU EXTRACT – This uplifting, Japanese citrus improves clarity yet calms the body and spirit.

Golden Door Golden Face Oil

Golden Door Golden Face Oil

It smells fantastic, very spa-like and relaxing.  I put a few drops of this amber-colored oil on my face after my treatment serum every morning and night, concentrating under my eyes and around my lip area and love the results.  It definitely brightens and smooths skin, and it has no parabens, sulfates, artificial color, artificial fragrances, mineral oil, petrolatum, phthalates, formaldehyde, GMO Ingredients, or animal testing.

As the weather gets warmer I am really enjoying a face oil instead of a face cream.  This is absolutely my go-to moisturizer for this spring and summer.

The Daily Renewal Treatment ($88) is an incredible yet gentle exfoliant for your face and neck.  This is an Alpha Hydroxy, Lactic, Glycolic, Malic and Tartaric Acid-based serum that is gentle enough to work for all skin types.  It sloughs off dead skin cells which helps reduce the size of your pores as well diminish fine lines and wrinkles.  It gives soft, glowy skin – and who doesn’t want soft glowy skin?? Ingredients include:

MEXICAN LIME OIL – Helps naturally even out
the complexion and lighten dark spots.

CAVIAR LIME EXTRACT – Rich in Alpha Hydroxy
Acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

DESERT LIME EXTRACT – Work to shed the outer
layers of cells to improve skin texture and complexion.

Golden Door Daily Renewal Treatment

Golden Door Daily Renewal Treatment

If you have really sensitive skin you will want to use this only at night.  Otherwise, you can use it morning and night.  It smells amazing, like – surprise! – lime…so good!  After application, use your favorite treatment serum and then a moisturizer and you are good to go.

I highly recommend the Golden Face Oil as a moisturizer, especially for those with regular or t-zone skin who don’t have super dry or super oily skin; and the Daily Renewal Treatment as a daily exfoliant to keep pores small and skin consistently soft and glowing.  And don’t forget – 100% of Golden Door’s net profits go to help end child abuse and transform young lives!!  – Lisa

Vie Collection Rosa Control Relief Concentrate for Redness

Vie Collection ROSA CONTROL Relief Concentrate for Redness

The product I’m reviewing today is for those of us who suffer from redness – you know, flushing, erythrosis, couperose, or rosacea  I don’t have a huge problem on my face but my neck is a whole other story. I have major skin redness that sometimes flares up into rosacea that is very uncomfortable.

The Vie Collection ROSA CONTROL Relief Concentrate for Redness ($125) is a lovely, elegant moisturizer that soothes and corrects skin redness and irritation, and specifically reduces flushing, erythrosis, couperose, and rosacea.  This beautiful moisturizer soaks right in without being sticky and it is extremely soothing. It makes my redness disappear, and it neutralizes free radicals and strengthens the skins protective barrier. I also really appreciate that the formula is fragrance free.

You can use this by itself or add it to your current moisturizer, which is what I do in the mornings. At night I apply it by itself to my neck.

Vie Collection ROSA CONTROL Relief Concentrate for Redness

Key ingredients:

Tri-Peptide – bio-mimicking peptide grafted to a lipid. Limits internal inflammation by reducing the effects of the release of Substance P, the neuropeptide that causes inflammatory reactions. Vasodilation and the appearance of redness and edema are reduced.

Multivitamin – free radical protection Vitamin B5 – limits inflammatory reactions such as erythema, caused by free radicals from UV rays.  Helps to hydrate the deep layers of the skin by strengthening the hydrolipidic film and its barrier function.

Vitamin C – neutralizes free radicals caused by stress, tobacco or pollution that can cause
inflammatory reactions.

Vitamin E – protects the skin from oxidative conditions, playing the role of an antioxidant shield.

BPX – a molecular complex rich in saponins and flavonoids. Protects and tones blood capillaries, activates microcirculation and helps soothe and comfort skin.

Vie Collection ROSA CONTROL Relief Concentrate for Redness

If you suffer from flushing, erythrosis, couperose, or rosacea this is a really fantastic product. I have had terrific results! My neck has never looked better. After using this twice a day for a month I’ve gone from flushed, red skin with occasional rosacea to perfectly normal looking skin and no discomfort at all. I typically love Vie Collection Skin Care – it’s top notch stuff – and the Rosa Control Relief Concentrate for Redness is the answer to my flushed skin prayers.
