7th Heaven softens hands and feet with their great masks (giveaway time)

I sure hope you don’t get tired of me and my obsession with masks (and with having mask giveaways!). I don’t seem to get tired of using masks so I keep sharing them with you. Today I have some totally different masks from 7th Heaven for you. You know I love the variety, convenience, and prices of 7th Heaven masks. Well how about masks for your feet, hands, and fingers? They are as great as they sound.

7th Heaven Soften Sock Masques, Soften Glove Masks, and Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques

I’ve got to start with my favorite of these three, 7th Heaven Soften Sock Masques.

7th Heaven Soften Sock Masques

My feet haven’t felt as soft in months. It’s better than a pedicure to treat my feet and lasts much longer too. If it cut my nails then it would be the perfect item ever. But I’ll forgive it since it makes my feet feel soft and conditioned for about 4 days. Taking a shower doesn’t even take away the effect of the moisturizing of these foot masques.

7th Heaven Soften Sock Masques

7th Heaven Soften Sock Masques

The booties are made of a thin plastic outer and a mesh inner which contains the softening ingredients. It has both Shea Butter and Almond Oil to nourish dry skin and help repair cracked heels. It contains Peppermint to refresh your feet as well as Soybean to rehydrate them so you’re left with soft and smooth tootsies.

7th Heaven Soften Sock Masques

These take only 15-20 minutes to use but they are so comfortable (and I can walk in them with my slippers on) that I usually forget and wear them longer. 7th Heaven is a cruelty free company that uses natural ingredients, in this case pressed peppermint, ground shea nuts, and pressed soybeans. When the time is up, remove and massage the lotion onto your feet. These are going to be so perfect in the winter when my feet take a beating. To Walmart I’ll be going to stock up on these!!

7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques

Similar to the sock masque is the Soften Glove Masque. While wonderful at this time of year, you can imagine what these will do for dry winter hands! My skin becomes chapped easily in the winter so wearing the Glove Masques will be even better when your hands have taken a beating. If your hands are always in water these will be a savior too.

7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques

With pressed rose petals as one of their main ingredients they are fragranced which makes them not quite perfect for me.

7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques

7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques

They are very comfortable and actually I could do most of the things I wanted while wearing them for 15-20 minutes though typing is iffy. Like the Soften Sock Masque, massage in the rich cream to keep your hands soft as can be.

7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques

7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques are a much better match for me and as much as I dislike winter weather I’ll be using these to save the skin on my fingers.

7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques

Each package comes with 10 finger masques. What’s great for me is that I can use as many as I need and save the rest for later. My left hand takes more of a beating since I use it more. It’s always drier than my right and my cuticles dry out more since I wash my hands so often. The Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques contain pressed argan seed oil and macadamia oils to help nourish the skin on your fingers and cuticles. It also contains juiced pomegranates for an anti-oxidant rich treat.

7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques

These are a great way to treat yourself before you do/have a manicure too.  After 15 minutes remove them and massage. Aaah what a spa treat. You really want these if you have damaged nails.

All three of these are available at Walmart stores and online for $3.94 a package. You can order them online and pick them up in the store if you want too. Like I said, the foot masques are going to be my besties come cold weather with the finger masques close behind. —  Marcia

Giveaway information: As much as I hate to give any of mine up there is going to be a giveaway for 1 package each of Soften Glove Masques and Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques along with 3 other 7th Heaven facial masks. This is open worldwide where permitted through 8/4/17 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. As usual if I can’t find your email subscription or your comment then you are eliminated. We don’t ask much of you on our giveaways but we do insist on that. Good luck and good tips and toes! – M

Mask of the Month: Woda Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

Woda Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

Woda Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

April brought me a lot of masks but one stands head and shoulders above the rest. WODA CELEBRITY 24 KARAT GOLD MASK is a 15 minute paradise for me and a morning delight.

sample

WODA_NEW-FINAL-LOGOLet’s learn about WODA before I give you the details. The word Woda means Water in Polish. The creator of the Woda skincare line is an aesthetician named Margaret Tomaszewicz. She has her own facial spa and decided to create a line that met all her client’s needs. Her skincare line is hydration focused, a line she promises will be based on scientific research, promising to be of the best quality, using organic and natural ingredients to aid specific skincare needs.

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

As a lover of facial masks I was thrilled to be offered the WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask to try and I’m more thrilled to be using this. It is not like the other masks that I use, it’s much more of a skincare product than just a mask.

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

The 24 Karat Gold Mask’s name comes from the fact that it’s infused with 24 karat gold. The gold works as a powerful antioxidant to fight signs of aging. I’m part of that battle as are many of you. It contains a potent dose of Vitamin C to help lighten hyperpigmentation.

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

When I first opened this I smelled cinnamon cookies. It reminded me of the cookies I buy for my grandkids (ok, me too) at Trader Joes. The smell is extremely pleasant to me and one that doesn’t last long once it’s on your face. It’s stronger in the jar than on your skin.

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask is part mask and part moisturizer. Directions tell you to apply a rich layer on your face, neck, and decollate. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. It dries down but not all the way. It remains moist on your skin but not quite as moist as when you applied it. Do not wash it off though. Instead gently remove any excess with a dry cloth (I use a muslin cloth) and pat the remainder onto your skin. That’s it. You are moisturized!

Woda Celebrity 24 Karat Mask

Woda Celebrity 24 Karat Mask

When you wake up in the morning you’ll find your face is a little brighter, plumper, and beautifully moisturized. It adds that extra boost of hydration that your skin is begging for. It is recommended to use this once a week but it’s gentle enough to apply and leave on more often. The more you use WODA, the more luminous and bright your skin will become.

WODA products have never been tested on animals and, for every product sold, the company plants a tree via their donations to One Tree Planted.

A little goes a long way and I expect this jar will last me at least 4 months if not longer. It’s delicious smelling and nutritious on my skin. That’s a little bit of paradise right in my own home. It should be in your home too.  —  Marcia

Masks of the Month from The Body Shop

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask and British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask and British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask

Last month I introduced what I hope will be a monthly post: Masks of the Month. I started with ToGoSpa and their lip and eye masks plus Hada Labo Tokyo sheet masks and why I liked these. I’m all about masks and love to use them therefore this month I’m going to share with you some Body Shop masks that I was sent. Not everyone loves sheet masks but there’s an alternative, turn to The Body Shop for one or more of their jar masks. The Himalayan Charcoal Purify Glow Mask was particularly great for me at holiday time but also great since then.

The Body Shop HIMALAYAN CHARCOAL Purifying Glow Mask

The Body Shop HIMALAYAN CHARCOAL Purifying Glow Mask

This 100% Vegan Mask is muddy looking goodness. Charcoal masks are meant to deep clean and that’s what I like about it. I have pores but I don’t like pores! Therefore once a week or once every other week is very helpful for those getting the gunk out of my pores, especially the ones on my nose. Even though I exfoliate often my nose often doesn’t want to cooperate. The Himalayan Charcoal mask has helped with the cleansing I need.

Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

As many of you know I am phobic about fragrance so I worried about this mask but it has an intoxicating tea fragrance. Ingredients include Bamboo Charcoal from the Himalayan foothills, Community Trade Tea Tree Oil from Kenya, and Green Tea Leave from Japan.

Full Ingredients

Aqua/Water/Eau, Kaolin, Moroccan Lava Clay, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Alcohol Denat., Camellia Sinensis Leaf, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Pumice, Argania Spinosa Shell Powder, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Parfum/Fragrance, Charcoal Powder, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Limonene, Linalool, Methylpropanediol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Menthol, Disodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil/Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Citric Acid, Menthoxypropanediol, Citral, Geraniol, Coumarin, Caramel.

Himalayan Charcoal Purity Purifying Glow Mask ($28) can be left on for 5-10 minutes. In 10 minutes it completely dries down but isn’t stiff. I use a muslin cloth to wash it off and then continue with my skincare. The Body Shop recommends using it 2 to 3 times a week but I think that depends on your particular needs.

The Body Shop BRITISH ROSE Fresh Plumping Mask

The Body Shop BRITISH ROSE Fresh Plumping Mask

The other mask that I have from The Body Shop is British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask. When I first saw the words “british rose” I worried about the fragrance. Even though a mask is on for a short time my sensitive nose can pick it up all day long BUT this smells pretty darn good and I don’t mind it at all. This mask is the total opposite in texture of the charcoal mask as this one is gel like. As a matter of fact it reminds me of a jar of jelly. It’s soft and has little bits of rose petals crushed into it. Sort of like Valentine’s Day in a jar.

The Body Shop BRITISH ROSE Fresh Plumping Mask

The Body Shop BRITISH ROSE Fresh Plumping Mask

This too is 100% Vegan but it works to plump and moisturize your skin. The British Rose mask never dries down. It stays moist just like it wants your skin to feel. It’s especially nice if your skin is feeling dehydrated by winter winds and weather. The three key ingredients are rose petals and essence of hand-picked roses from Britain, Rosehip oil from Chile, and Community Trade Aloe Vera from Mexico.

Full Ingredients

Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Propanediol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-32, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Rosa Gallica Flower Powder, Parfum/Fragrance, Sodium Hydroxide, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Methylpropanediol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Disodium EDTA, Rose Extract, Benzyl Salicylate, Menthoxypropanediol, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, CI 14700/Red 4

While I don’t feel that my face looks all glowy after using this it does feel hydrated. I leave this on for about 10 – 15 minutes before washing it off with a washcloth, either muslin or terry.

One reason I love to use masks so much is that whenever I notice that my face needs some extra help, whether that’s hydration, deep cleansing, or a fresh glowing face, I turn to a mask. It gives my face the extra vitality that I need to make a change. Are you ready for a change?  Try The Body Shop masks!  —  Marcia

Are you ready to be wowed with some WOW Facial Masks?

WOW Masks

WOW Masks

While I haven’t had a chance to write about facial masks for the last few months, that doesn’t mean I haven’t used them. I love all varieties of masks and am always eager to make room for more when I’m offered them. WOW MASKS came into my life in December and helped get me through the hectic holidays and family birthdays the last two months.

WOW is named for the feeling that the creators felt after perfecting their luxurious facial masks. I feel pretty wowed after I use one.

WOW mask

WOW mask

WOW MASKS come in a box of 5. They contain RCMP-complex which is the essence of some of nature’s most effective skin-loving plants. The RCMP-complex is combined with Argireline which is known for skin firming and rejuvenation qualities. The masks are considered to be aqua gel masks. They are totally saturated with their ingredients and stay very damp the entire time you use them.

WOW Masks

WOW Masks

What makes these masks unique compared to all the others that I’ve tried is that these facial masks are easier to use because they are in two pieces. If you’ve ever struggled with getting a sheet mask on evenly you’ll truly appreciate that aspect of it.

WOW Mask two pieces

WOW Mask two pieces

It’s easier to apply the mesh mask (the picture is the backing) since you can move it around easily. There are slits at the nose so you can fit it better. Once on you can move them around to get them perfect. At first it’s going to be very wet and slippery but you have time to adjust. After a few minutes they’ll settle in and you can go about your business until you’re ready to remove. The WOW mask people suggest you leave it on for 20-40 minutes to soak in all the goodness.

I notice the effects of this mask for days. The goal is to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, help with reducing the look of your pores, and revitalize your skin. I feel like my skin is brighter after using this mask.

There are 8 effects that WOW has found with their masks:

DEEPLY MOISTURIZES

SMOOTHES SKIN TEXTURE

IMPROVES SKIN ELASTICITY AND TONE

PROTECTS CELLS FROM UV DAMAGE

BRIGHTENS THE SKIN

REDUCES DYNAMIC AND DEEP WRINKLES

MIMIZES VISISBLE PORES

CURES SKIN BLEMISHES

PROVIDES A LIFTING EFFECT

Are you ready to be WOWed too? I’m loving what I’m finding when I’m using these. You will be too.  —  Marcia

The 7 Creams of the Week Set has a lot going for it. The generous size tubes are better than samples, giving you five full weeks to try out seven different products. The packaging is truly lovely, and this set is perfect for gifting to someone for the holidays. It’s also a perfect set for traveling since everything is TSA size. All the creams are for normal skin, and I think anyone would love this except for those very sensitive to fragrance since all the creams are scented.

This set is a $140 value but sells for $100 and I am seeing it on sale for even less at some etailer sites. Put this set on your list of gifts to give…or on your list of gifts for you!  – Lisa

Yummy skin care from Farmhouse Fresh: Facial Buffing Biscuits

Farmhouse Fresh Facial Buffing Biscuits

Farmhouse Fresh Facial Buffing Biscuits

Yum, biscuits! I love delicate, flaky biscuits and the Facial Buffing Biscuits from Farmhouse Fresh certainly look good enough to eat. Don’t give in to the temptation to scarf these down, though. Instead, smash them up with some water to create a skin-nourishing scrub or mask.

Farmhouse Fresh Facial Buffing Biscuits

The new Facial Buffing Biscuits ($24) that Farmhouse Fresh sent me to test are certainly unique. These thin square biscuits buff skin, balance oil production, and moisturize dryness all while providing the nourishment skin needs. There are four varieties available: Burdock and Butter for dry skin, Strawberry Lavender for normal/oily skin, Tea Cucumber for normal/oily skin, and Mango and Poppy Seed for normal/oily skin. I was sent the Mango and Poppy Seed to try.

I love the beautiful packaging. Four thin square biscuits are housed atop a nest of shredded paper in natural-fiber cartons. The biscuits can be split into four pieces each, equaling sixteen in-home treatments. These are definitely fragranced, although the scent is really delicious! I expected it to smell fruity, but instead it smelled warm and yummy…yes, like a biscuit! The ingredients sound like things you might put into delicious biscuits: milk, mango butter, poppy seeds, rice powder, strawberry, mango, and green tea extract.

The Mango and Poppy Seed Facial Buffing Biscuits have mango seed extract, which has beta carotene plus vitamins A and C. The mango is astringent so it fights acne, while mango butter also softens and hydrates skin. The biscuit also has turmeric, which is a great antioxidant that fights free radical damage  Exfoliants include rice powder and poppy seeds.

One biscuit...

One biscuit…

...and one fourth of a biscuit

…and one fourth of a biscuit

A single biscuit can be divided into fourths for four treatments. I recommend having a little bowl or steel palette ready for mixing as it’s a little to difficult to do just using your hands. You also want something blunt to crush the biscuit, like a makeup brush handle. Then I just use my finger to mix in some water to create a paste. Sometimes I use the paste on a damp face as an exfoliant, gently scrubbing away dead skin then rinsing right away. When I have time though I like to leave it on my skin for about ten minutes so the fruit extracts and antioxidants can really do their work. The scrub removes oil and dirt, and used as a mask I find it definitely tightens my pores. Because I have an oily t-zone I concentrate my scrubbing and masking on my forehead, nose, and chin. The Mango and Poppy Seed is also a great exfoliant for the neck and decolletage.

While four biscuits for $24 seems spendy, it’s much more reasonable when you figure it’s actually 16 treatments. This is a fun, unique way to buff and feed your skin. Farmhouse Fresh continues to impress me with beautifully packaged, effective products that are a great departure from the same old, same old.  – Lisa

To be ‘in the know’ you really should be aware that Asian skincare is the new big thing. Now that it’s more available in the US people are clamoring for the secrets that were hidden away from us for so long. The other thing you need to be ‘in the know’ is that sheet masks are taking the world by storm. Put those two together and you end up with masque Bar Sheet Masks by Look Beauty which are made in Korea and are sold at Target. A little bit of both end up great for you and me.

masque BAR Brightening Sheet Mask

masque BAR Brightening Sheet Mask

I used masque Bar Brightening Sheet Mask and loved the results. This was a spot of sunshine to relax, use the mask and end up with a powerful way to treat my skin. While this particular mask is formulated to help minimize the appearance of dark spots using it just once wasn’t enough for me to test if it had any long term effect on that. I do have sun spots from years of not using sunscreen and they are hard to lighten. But I’m willing to spend another $17.99 for 3 packs (or $9.99 for one) the next time I’m shopping Target to try this again.

The mask is cut out to fit your face. It’s soaked in a special serum that contains orange extract, licorice root and vitamin C. I found the mask to be loaded with enough serum that it never dried out on me. Directions said to leave it on for 20-30 minutes but it felt so good I probably left it on to closer to 40 minutes. My face didn’t feel sticky at all and there was no fragrance to irritate my senses.

Don't be afraid but here it is!

Don’t be afraid but here it is! (better adjust it first)

When it was time to remove it I found my skin to look brighter (this has no Hydroquinone in it) and very refreshed. Of course I needed my husband to take me out for dinner once I had this radiant complexion.
