Hoppy Easter from Lush!

Lush Easter

Lush Easter

My birthday was last February and knowing how much I love bath and body products my fabulous blogging partner Marcia gave me a gift certificate to Lush. I decided to wait a bit until the cool Easter products came out…holidays are the best at Lush!  They have wonderful items year round, but the LE holiday goodies are always worth the wait. I bought myself three treats that I have absolutely no plans to share with anyone else.

Lush Lovestruck

Lush Lovestruck

Lovestruck ($8.65) is so darn cute! Doesn’t this look just like Mr. Bill?  (And if you remember him, you are as old as me!!). He actually looks like an emoji and his happy face makes for some really happy baths. The Lovestruck bubble bar makes for thick, creamy suds that smell of lemon and geranium. I get three amazing bubble baths out of his super cute visage. While he is a LE bubble bar that was actually introduced for Valentine’s Day, I think the bright yellow happy face is perfect for spring. Hurry up and get this before it’s gone.

Lush Strawberry Feels Forever

Lush Strawberry Feels Forever

Strawberry Feels Forever ($10.95) is a fabulous springy massage bar that is a great excuse to ask your sweetie to give you a rub down. Ingredients include strawberries, hibiscus flower, and coconut oil. It smells incredible and leaves skin sooo soft. The shape is great for really digging into those muscle knots, too. While Strawberry Feels Forever isn’t LE, it is fantastic and you should put it in your shopping bag now!

Lush Chick N Mix

Lush Chick N Mix inside

Chick ‘N’ Mix ($10.95) is the ultimate Easter Lush item – gettin’ chicky with it, as Lush says! This big cute egg-shaped chicken comes already split in half. Inside is a little baby bunny…although mine looks like a little egg. It doesn’t get much cuter than this. I get three fizzy baths from it – two from the outer shell and one from the adorable tiny bunny. The scent is wonderful – citrusy bergamot mixed with vanilla caramel. Yum. By the way, the chick’s eyes are actually dairy-free chocolate chips!  It definitely makes for three sweet baths.

Lush does us all a solid with their new Solid Shampoo Bars

Lush Solid Shampoo Bars

Have you heard that Lush has come out with six brand new Solid Shampoo Bars? A longtime fan of Lush Seanik Shampoo Bar, I was doing a happy dance when they sent the BIZ five of their six new bars to try.

The Lush Solid Shampoo Bars are handmade, environmentally conscious, and perfect for travel. They are also very easy to use if you know the ‘secret’. The first few times I tried Lush solid shampoos and conditioners, I got my long hair all tangled up and it was a rather awkward experience. Then I realized that I needed to get my hair wet then smoothed the bar straight down from crown to ends. The bars lather up nicely and rinse out clean. I highly suggest the Lush Shampoo Bar Tin for safe storage in between shampoos.

Don't forget this! The Lush Shampoo Bar Tin

Don’t forget this! The Lush Shampoo Bar Tin

The Solid Shampoo Bars are discs of shampoo that are extremely condensed, about 60 to 100 times. In fact, one bar has roughly the same amount of shampoo as three regular plastic bottles of shampoo. This means that when you use a Solid Shampoo Bar, you are doing your part for the environment and reducing the amount of plastic waste.

The six new Solid Shampoo Bars include Brazilliant, Montalbano, Lullaby, Honey I Washed My Hair, Copperhead, and Jason and the Argan Oil. I have all but Jason and the Argan Oil for review today.

Lush Brazilliant Shampoo Bar

Lush Brazilliant Shampoo Bar

Brazilliant ($9.95) features orange oil and andiroba oil from the Brazilian rainforest to both strengthen and condition hair. Whole fresh oranges go into this bright little disc. It leaves my hair extremely smooth with no frizz. What I love the most, though, is the scent…that fabulous orange smells so clean and fresh.

Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar

Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar

Montalbano ($9.95) is a little hockey puck of lemony goodness. It has three different types of lemon, including lemon juice, lemon peel, and lemon oil. This is the perfect bar for those with oily hair and scalp. Normal haired people will love this for extra clean hair, but if you have dry hair go for Honey I Washed My Hair or Copperhead instead.

Lush Lullaby Shampoo Bar

Lush Lullaby Shampoo Bar

Lullaby ($9.95) is a great name for this bar since it is very gentle and the scent is so comforting. Oat milk and almond meal nourish and protect hair, and the lavender and chamomile oils make this smell like a warm memory. This is a great bar for your little ones!

Lush Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar

Lush Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar

The Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar ($9.95) has that classic ‘toffee drenched in honey’ scent. The honey is a great moisturizer and I find that this bar leaves my hair very soft and bouncy. This is a great choice for those with sensitive scalps.

Lush Copperhead Shampoo Bar

Lush Copperhead Shampoo Bar

Copperhead ($11.95) is the coolest looking Solid Shampoo Bar with the epic snake imprint. Impressive! This bar has tons of great ingredients, including cocoa butter, agar agar, seaweed gel, and henna. There is just a small amount of henna – not enough to change hair color, but enough to condition hair. This bar makes my hair straight and glossy with shine. It is the one to choose if you have fine hair or color-treated hair. Since I have both, it makes sense that this is my favorite of all the new bars. The scent is a heavenly mixture of vanilla and coffee…a perfect way to wake up in the morning.

Lush has done a great job of creating some fun and exciting new Solid Shampoo Bars. Head on over to Lush to check them out…you need at least one of them for travel!  – Lisa

Get ready for your Heart Throb…Lush for Valentine’s Day

Lush Heart Throb

I am in love with an absolute heart throb. No, not Joe Manganiello…he has Sophia Vergara now so I have moved on. My new love is Lush’s Heart Throb Bubbleroon. It does indeed make my heart go pitter-patter with all that seductive red and glittery gold…not to mention the promise of a super sudsy bubble bath that will leave my skin soft, moisturized, and gleaming. $8.95 is a small price to pay for this big heart that makes for four fabulous bubble baths.

Inside this beautiful heart hides tons of shea butter to pamper skin, as well as ylang ylang and geranium oils. This is one heart I am happy to break!  I twist it in half, break it apart, then break it into more pieces – four in all – and one piece turns my bubble bath a seductive orangey red with golden shimmer and lots of bubbles. The scent is fabulous, a soft floral that is just beautiful.

Who needs Joe when I have this Heart Throb? Pick this up at Lush for a fabulous Valentine’s Day treat for yourself!  – Lisa

Yeah, In Your Dreams! Lush LE Valentine Collection

Oh yes, the latest wrapped collection from Lush for Valentine’s Day called In Your Dreams ($23.95) is definitely dreamy. It looks like it is sold out online right now, but my local Lush still has some in stock. Read this review then go pick up a few of these while you still can!

Lush In Your Dreams

Lush In Your Dreams

I think of Valentine’s Day as a day to show some love to anyone…my little girl is thrilled to get a little something special as a reminder of how much I love her. My husband is more of the ‘show me’ than ‘give me’ type, so I always take the pressure off him and get myself something special too.

I know I can’t go wrong with Lush, because they always do Valentine’s Day right. It’s heaven for bath and body products and In Your Dreams is a flirty, fun, fabulous gift that will thrill any bath lover.

Lush In Your Dreams

Lush In Your Dreams wrapping paper

The funky cool wrapping paper envelopes an entire Valentine’s Day story:  t’s a prince on a unicorn, coming in for the big kiss!

Lush In Your Dreams Unicorn Horn

Lush In Your Dreams Unicorn Horn

Unicorn Horn is the most spectacular bubble bar I have ever seen. This big bar has everything:  a pastel rainbow of colors, colored candy stars, sparkles, and essential oils. The bath water turns a beautiful silvery pink…exactly what every good unicorn would want. It smells sooo good, like a peppery pink forest. I can’t even begin to guess how many baths you can get out of this big hunk of magic. Pure love in a tub.

Lush In Your Dreams The Kiss Lip Gloss

Lush In Your Dreams The Kiss Lip Gloss

The Kiss Lip Gloss is wonderful. I think this is the smoothest pot gloss I have ever tried from Lush. It leaves just a hint of pink sheen on lips along with a wonderful slip. It tastes like yummy almonds and vanilla, and the shea and cupuaçu butters really moisturize. It even has a bit of guarana seed powder to plump up your pucker. This is LE so get it while you can.

Lush In Your Dreams Prince Charming

Lush In Your Dreams Prince Charming

Ah, the Prince Charming Shower Gel is delightful. Not only is it pink and shimmery, it smells AMAZING. The fragrance is an intoxicating blend of pomegranate juice, Fair Trade vanilla pod infusion, and almond oil. This LE shower gel definitely a dream come true. By the way, if you need to travel light, Lush shower gels make a great shampoo.

This is one dreamy gift that is going fast, so run to your nearest Lush to pick one up for your sweetie. While you’re at it, pick one up for yourself, because In Your Dreams is a limited edition gift that won’t be around much longer.  – Lisa
