Runway Rogue is embracing my lips

Runway Rogue

Runway Rogue

I need to tell you all about RUNWAY ROGUE, a lip product line by Patricia Hartman, but before I do I have to share that this is a F.I.N.D.!! I’m loving the 4 lip products I have and want to share all about them with you but first I need to tell you more about Runway Rogue.

Patricia Hartman

Patricia Hartman

Runway Rogue is a cruelty-free line that is also talc free, paraben free, sulfate free, and gluten free. It’s safe for everyone. What makes this unique on the market is Patricia Hartman, a former model who has always had a passion for cosmetics, in particular lip products. She put her creativity to work and crafted a lipstick line that is unusual as well as luscious. When you look under “SHOP” on the website it shows how you can shop by attitude, such a great quirky touch.

Runway Rogue Designer's Muse

Runway Rogue Designer’s Muse

RUNWAY ROGUE lipsticks ($21) have so much goodness. While they have a variety of trendy matte lipstick they stole my heart with the line of satin lipstick. Not everyone loves matte or can even wear matte lipstick no matter if it is what’s in. Old dogs can learn new tricks but when we have a new line with satin lipsticks, this old dog loves it even more.

  • Jojoba Oil to hydrate and soften the skin without clogging your pores!
  • Safflower Oil to enrich your lips with hydrating vitamin E!
  • Aloe Vera to sooth and hydrate your pout!
  • Vitamin E to combat free radicals with potent antioxidants!
  • Green Tea Extract to rejuvenate skin with anti-aging properties and polyphenols for sebum control!
  • White Tea Extract to hydrate your pout with anti-aging compounds that promote longer moisture retention for skin!
  • Chamomile Extract to soothe your lips!
Runway Rouge Chic Lipliner and Designer's Muse satin lipstick

Runway Rouge Chic Lipliner and Designer’s Muse satin lipstick

You can feel the hydration as soon as you apply this lipstick. There is zero fragrance and plenty of moisturizing. The formulas are loaded with hydrating oils and extracts which will pamper your lips and keep them supple and soft. I was so thrilled the first time I applied this because of the feel on my lips.

There are currently 4 Satin lipsticks on the site. Designer’s Muse is described as a soft rosy pink with beige undertones. If I wear it without the lipliner (coming up) then that’s a perfect description. With the Chic Precision Lip Pencil it becomes more of a coral pink. Fashionista is a burnt dusty rose, Photo-Op is a true soft coral, and Stilettos is described as a bright red with coral undertones. Don’t they all sound spring and summer ready?

Runway Rogue Lookbook Lips gloss, Chic Lip Pencil, Designer's Muse satin lipstick

Runway Rogue Lookbook Lips gloss, Chic Lip Pencil, Designer’s Muse satin lipstick

RUNWAY ROGUE PRECISION LIP PENCILS are available in 5 matte shades ($18) that I’ve found to be so creamy that I didn’t believe it when they said it was matte. I have Chic, a peachy pink bright liner that doesn’t disappear. It was created to work well with Designer’s Muse Lipstick and Lookbook Lips gloss. These are all perfect together and I also wear each alone or in combination for some fabulous looking and feeling lips.

rumnway rogue all on cardThere are 7 gorgeous RUNWAY ROGUE LIP GLOSS colors ($19) for you to choose from. Patricia Hartman has shades that can be used with her other lip products or with any others that you are attracted to.

Runway Rouge Look Book Lips gloss

Runway Rouge Look Book Lips gloss

Look Book Lips is described as peachy pink perfection and that is a spot on description. It’s not too dark and it’s not too light, it’s right on. It enhances lipstick or can be worn on its own for sheer but beautiful color.

What you need to know about Runway Rogue gloss is that it’s not the least bit sticky. Not even a tiny bit. It feels amazing on my lips while bringing out a pretty shine. When first applied I notice a vanilla fragrance but then it’s gone in an instant.

Runway Rogue Bride in Show gloss

Runway Rogue Bride in Show gloss

Bride in Show is the other gloss I have and it’s perfect for any lip product you own. I’ve tried it with half a dozen lipsticks and have grown to love it more each time. It’s a pearly pink with just a touch of iridescence. It has a touch of shimmer that is for enhancement but you’ll never notice that you have this shimmer on. This has become my new favorite gloss since it’s so unglosslike!

I love showcasing independent brands and Runway Rogue reminds me why I have this love. The products have all the right ingredients, feel magnificent on my lips, look even better, and are good for me and the environment. I can’t ask for more other than that you check out Runway Rogue to find this goodness for yourself.  —  Marcia

New tarte Cheek Stains and Power Pigments, part one

tarte Cheek Stains

tarte Cheek Stains

The iconic Cheek Stains are the gel/cream blushes that first fostered tarte cosmetics amazing reputation for cutting edge, quality products. Not only does tarte have 8 new Cheek Stain ($30) shades, they also have matching Power Pigments ($24), pencil lip tints with tons of color and lots of shine. Today, I have reviews and swatches of four shades:  Blissful, Flush, Natural Beauty, and True Love. Tomorrow Marcia will have her review and swatches of the other four: Tipsy, Exposed, Fearless, and Blushing Bride.

Tarte’s Cheek Stains are gel (with one exception that’s cream) blushes that give a ‘glow from within’ look. They come in a push-up container and are usually applied straight onto the cheeks. They go on a little wet, with quite a bit of play time to blend perfectly before drying down to a lasting, natural looking flush. Not only do they look beautiful, they are also great for the skin. They have five superfruits that are full of antioxidants to fight free radicals, including maracuja, goji, açaí, acerola, and pomegranate. These superfruits have tons of Vitamin C that brightens skin and moisturizes dry areas.

tarte Power Pigments

tarte Power Pigments

tarte Power Pigments

tarte Power Pigments

The matching Power Pigments are extremely moisturizing and they quench dry lips while also healing them with antioxidants. In addition the color is fabulous thanks to that powerful pigment and the thinner pencil allows for a more precise application than is normally found with lip crayons. Ingredients include Vitamin E for antioxidant power; shea butter for emollience, and canauba wax for a super smooth application.

The matching Power Pigments

The matching Power Pigments

I tend to be drawn toward darker shades while Marcia prefers lighter ones, so today is all about berries and reds (well, one peach shade snuck in there!!)

Blissful Power Pigment and Cheek Stain

Blissful swatches

Blissful swatches

Blissful is the lovely warm peach shade that snuck its way into the shades I chose to review. This is the lightest of my four today and it is a very soft, pretty peach that doesn’t lean too brown. The cheek stain is better suited to lighter skin tones, but the lippie will work for anyone who wants a warm peach without a ton of drama.

Flush Power Pigment and Cheek Stain

Flushed swatches

Flush swatches

Flush is a sheer berry shade. This is the shade that first drew me to the tarte line so many years ago! I find this shade is very natural. It looks like you just came in from a chilly day or a quick run. I love it.

Natural Beauty Power Pigment and Cheek Stain

Natural swatches

Natural Beauty swatches

Natural Beauty is a sheer rosy red shade. This is the only cream cheek stain in the bunch, which is why it has a difference appearance – the others have a rounded top, while this one is decidedly flat. The texture is different as well. It doesn’t go on as wet and the coverage is much less sheer for the cheek stain. The Power Pigment has the same texture, shine, and staying power as the other lippies. I think this fresh, healthy-looking shade is my most favorite of them all.

tarte True Love

True Love Power Pigment and Cheek Stain

True Love swatches

True Love swatches

True Love is a sheer watermelon shade. While the Cheek Stain looks incredibly dark, it goes on quite sheer and natural looking. The Power Pigment is certainly a deeper shade and they complement one another beautifully.

These four new tarte shades are all winners in my book and they all get tons of play from me. I love the matching cheek and lip colors – all of the lip shades are deeper versions of the cheek shades, making simply perfect mates for one another. If you prefer lighter shades, be sure to stay tuned for Marcia’s review tomorrow!  – Lisa

A very daring Side by Side: Senna Winter 2013 Do You Dare? Collection

Senna asks "Do You Dare?"

Senna asks “Do You Dare?”

Senna Cosmetics has a daring new collection for Winter 2013 called the Do You Dare? Collection.  It’s all about power lips and lavish eyes.  They sent the collection to the BIZ for review and now the question is … do Lisa and Marcia dare?? Let’s see what they say!

Lisa’s Side:

WOW, these are definitely daring colors for powerful lips! I think you will agree, this Senna Cosmetics selection has some of the prettiest, most wearable reds out there. The lip selections include Lip Liner in Crimson ($18), Cream Lipstick in Venetian Red ($20), and Lip Lacquer in Maraschino ($20).

Senna Do You Dare lips

Senna Do You Dare? lips

Each one is great on its own and they complement one another so you can mix and match. For a mega power look, combine all three.

Senna Lip Liner in Crimson

Senna Crimson Lip Liner

Senna Crimson Lip Liner

Crimson Lip Liner is a classic red. This lip liner is a traditional liner, although the formula has a slightly soft texture so it doesn’t drag on the lips. Lining with this beautiful red shade will keep other lip products from feathering. It also looks great alone with some clear gloss on top. An added plus, the formula includes antioxidants to keep lips healthy.

Senna Venetian Red Cream Lipstick

Venetian Red swatch

Venetian Red Lipstick is a flame red cream. It is a beautiful red that leans a little warm. I love the creamy formula, which is moisturizing yet long wearing at the same time. It’s also good for your lips with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, and Jojoba Oil.

Senna Maraschino Lip Lacquer

Maraschino Lip Lacquer swatch

Maraschino Lip Lacquer is a cherry red with golden shimmer. This is so gorgeous!! I love it all by itself, although it’s also fabulous over the lip liner or lipstick. I adore Senna Lip Lacquers. The formula is thick but not the least bit sticky. It tastes of vanilla and is wonderfully hydrating with Shea Butter, Grape Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil and Mango Seed Butter.

Even though red lips aren’t typical for me, I am definitely daring to go red this season with these beautiful shades!

 Marcia’s Side:

What an incredible daring look Senna has come out with to delight your visual senses. It’s a gorgeous winter look that will get you through holiday parties, a sexy Valentine’s Day celebration or just when you want to show your strength and beauty. Lisa had the pleasure of showing you what the gorgeous red lips are all about and now I’ll show you the eyes.

There are three products that make up the eye look for Senna Do You Dare?: Silver Lining Glow eyeshadow ($18), Pinpoint Micro Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($20), and the volumizing mascara ($22), Voluptulash. The 3 work together to give you drama without bold colors.

Silver Lining eyeshadow is in the Glow formula which means there’s some shimmer to the shadow. You can use it wet or dry, I tend to use it dry over my eyeshadow primer. The color is darker than a typical silver but if you pat it on lightly you’ll end up with a soft silver shimmer that sparkles. I like my eyeshadows darker so I like to use a firm brush and dab it on blending the dabs together as I go. I finish my browbone area with a barely there white since I want some contrast.

Senna Silver Lining eyeshadow

Senna Silver Lining eyeshadow

Senna Silver Lining eyeshadow

Senna Silver Lining eyeshadow

There is a little sparkle fall out which is why I always do my eyes first. What you’ll find on your face when you are done though is tiny bits of sparkle that help with a holiday look. What I especially like about Silver Lining is that I can use it lightly or darker.

Next I put on eyeliner and Senna’s Pinpoint Micro Top Liquid Eyeliner is top notch. Lately I’ve been on a liquid eyeliner binge. I’ve been collecting them, wearing them every day and testing them out. I have a lot to compare to this one and I have to tell you that Senna’s Pinpoint Liquid is coming out on top. It’s a dark black even though my picture is going to look on the brown side – believe me, it’s black on my eye. You can adjust the thickness of the line without any problem just by the way you hold the brush. I wear it just like this beautiful (photoshopped) picture.

For the Do You Dare? look though you want to do a cat eye look – if you dare that is.

You’ll be hearing more about this eyeliner since it’s one of the best I’ve tried. Senna says it lasts for 14 hours but I can get much longer wear on my top eye lashes and about 12 on the bottom.

The mascara, Voluptulash, isn’t a new mascara but it is one you’ll want to try out. I reviewed Voluptulash with the Bewitching Beauty collection over a year ago and I’m glad to have a new one to use. The brush on the mascara is what makes this so sensational. It’s a helix shape and it builds volume better than other mascaras I’ve tried. Senna’s tips are perfect to follow for the most volume and drama:

Place brush at eyelash base, wiggle brush side to side and then sweep out to lash tips. Reapply as desired.

Maximize lash thickness with three easy steps:

1: Side swipe: After coating lashes with the mascara wand held horizontally, tilt it vertically and use the wand tip like a windshield wiper side to side onto lash tips. This super coats each lash.

2: Sweep up: Always follow the side swipe with a sweep up holding brush horizontally at the lash base. This achieves good lash separation.

That’s it – 3 pieces to create a perfect yet daring eye that can also be worn on a daily basis with just a little dialing down. Three pieces to create a beautiful red mouth that will stop people in their tracks, but can also be dialed down to just sort of make them stare admiringly. Senna has created another beautiful collection and YES you should dare!

Save 10% when you purchase the entire collection! $118.00 Value for only $106.20. includes one each of: Crimson Lip Liner, Venetian Red Cream Lipstick, Maraschino Lip Lacquer, Silver Lining Glow Eye Color, Pinpoint Micro Tip Eyeliner, and Voluptulash Mascara.

One day only! Tarte Bow & Go 3-in-1 Set, Nov. 18th on QVC

Set your alarm because there is one heck of a sale on a beautiful limited edition tarte set on QVC and it’s for one day only – Monday, November 18th. The Bow & Go set is $49. It includes 4 Lipsurgence Lip Cremes, 2 smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliners, 2 Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascaras, and 16 full size eyeshadows.

This is a fantastic gift set that is tree-ready. Just put a ribbon around these boxes and other than that, no wrapping is required!

tarte Bow & Go comes with a pretty gold ribbon...and that's all you need.

Tarte is well-known for having the best holiday sets available, and this one is a doozy.

Bow & Go, no need for wrapping!

The small pink box has 4 The LipSurgence Lip Cremes. I have tried the Lip Tint and the Lip Luster, but the Lip Creme is new and is exclusive to QVC for now.

The Lip Cremes have even more pigment and more coverage than the other lip pencil formulas from tarte. These are self-sharpening and have a slightly minty taste. True to their name they are very creamy when first applied and they eventually dry down to a stain that lasts for hours on me. I actually think I like this formula best out of all the tarte chubby lip pencils. All four shades are neutral enough to be flattering and wearable for most people.

The next biggest box is blue and has four items for eyes:  two Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascaras and two smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliners.

I love the eyeliner shades, they make for gorgeous thick lines that can be precise or sheered out with the smudge tool on the opposite end of the liner. Again, the emphasis is on neutral shades that will please everyone. I was surprised that both mascaras were the same color, but hey, it’s always a bonus to have a back up mascara since I never seem to realize I need a new one until it’s too late.

The eyeshadows are housed in a thin palette within the big purple box and are a mix of (yes, you guessed it!) neutral shades in a variety of finishes.

Also inside the box is an instruction sheet with ideas for two different eye looks. The first is called ‘One Fine Day’, and it features tickled pink from lash line to brow, grateful gray in the crease, and playful plum in the outer corner, finished with the fig eyeliner and black mascara. The second is called ‘Meet Me at Midnight’, and features ideal ivory from lash line to brow, roasted chestnut in the crease, and marvelous mocha in the outer corner, then finishes with the brown eyeliner and black mascara.

This is a great set to give as a gift, since the colors are all basic essentials that anyone would be happy with. For everything that is included, $49 is a terrific price.  Is this on your list to give someone? Or is it on your list for yourself??  – Lisa

It Cosmetics Your Lips But Better™ Waterproof Lip Liner Stain – just say wow!

It Cosmetics Your Lips But Better™ Waterproof Lip Liner Stain

It Cosmetics Your Lips But Better™ Waterproof Lip Liner Stain

It’s no surprise to anyone that reads Beauty Info Zone that we are going to rave about the 6 It Cosmetics Lip Liners that they sent us for review. It’s hard to even think of anything about It Cosmetics that we don’t like. We could easily be satisfied living a life of It products only – well almost, we are beauty junkies obviously. Your Lips But Better™ Waterproof Lip Liner Stains are automatic lip liners that are infused with a stain. These are multi-tasking cosmetics at their best. Lip primer, lip liner, and lip stain all in one terrific pencil.

What makes these Your Lips But Better™ Waterproof Lip Liner Stains so different from other brands of lip liners? We’re glad you asked!

1) These are infused with peptides, collagen, hyaluronic acid, hydrating avocado oil, shea butter, aloe, and jojoba.

2) The ingredients all work together to treat, hydrate, condition, soothe and nourish your lips while minimizing the appearance of lip lines.

3) They are loaded with anti-aging anti-oxidants including Vitamins A, C, E, Acai, Green Tea and White Tea to protect and ward off free-radicals all day long.

4) No need to sharpen, just twist the bottom and voila – more lip liner. However, if you want a point on the end, just use the handy dandy tool that is stored at the bottom of the lip liner.

What more can you ask for? How about great colors that will look good with your lipsticks and glosses? Now let’s take a look at these colors with Marcia and Lisa.

It Cosmetics: Buff Nude, Spicy Nude, Pretty in Pink

It Cosmetics: Buff Nude, Spicy Nude, Pretty in Pink

It was very cute to see the two of us deciding who reviews which lip liner stain. It reminded us of little kids flipping coins to see who went first. I grabbed Pretty in Pink first and then Lisa got a pick; we were back in childhood glee. But the best part is that as adults we each get to share 3 fabulous pencils with you.

It Cosmetics: Buff Nude, Spicy Nude, Pretty in Pink

It Cosmetics: Buff Nude, Spicy Nude, Pretty in Pink

The 3 I’ve got for you are Buff Nude, Spicy Nude and Pretty in Pink. One of the reasons I wanted these was because I knew how well these would look with the 3 Vitality Lip Flush Butter Glosses that I recently reviewed. Pretty in Pink gloss along with Pretty in Pink Lip Stain pencil are the perfect match. I couldn’t ask for better.

It Vitality Lip Butter Glosses and Lip Liner Stains

It Vitality Lip Butter Glosses and Lip Liner Stains

We’ve already listed the reasons why these are unique so I don’t want to bore you with repeating those facts; I do want to say though that I’m very impressed with these lip liner stains. I’m not the person that applies and reapplies lip products throughout the day. I leave the house with a lipstick on but I never return with one on. I just don’t think of it. It goes way back to when my sons were young and I’d hear “don’t kiss me, you have lipstick on” and it continues today when those same sons who are young adults say “don’t kiss me, you have lipstick on”. I never got back into the habit of constantly reapplying therefore having a lip liner that adds color that isn’t going to disappear midway through the day is ideal. I like to start with these all over my lips and then add the color of the day.

Buff Nude, Spicy Nude and Pretty in Pink

Buff Nude, Spicy Nude and Pretty in Pink

The liner called Buff Nude appears to be the same liner that is sold as Nude/Light Medium. Originally It Cosmetics sold just two shades of these liners in Nude. These have now morphed into 7 shades total on their website: Buff Nude, Blushing Nude, Spicy Nude, Romantic Rose, Pretty in Pink, Perfect Red and Cherry Flush. They must have heard our pleas for more.

YLBB swatches, left to right: Buff Nude, Spicy Nude, Pretty in Pink, Romantic Rose, Cherry Flush, Perfect Red

YLBB swatches, left to right: Buff Nude, Spicy Nude, Pretty in Pink, Romantic Rose, Cherry Flush, Perfect Red

Pictured above are swatches of all six lip liners. It should be no surprise that Marcia picked the lightest shades and I picked the darkest ones!! The shades I tried are the last three in the row:  Romantic Rose, Cherry Flush, and Perfect Red. I love these lip liners. They are creamy but are so long wearing because they are stains, not to mention they are waterproof. They all look great on their own or make a terrific base for any lip gloss or lipstick.

Romantic Rose

Romantic Rose

Romantic Rose

Romantic Rose

Romantic Rose is what I wish my natural lip color was – it truly is my lips but better (waaay better). If I wasn’t such a big baby about pain I think I would have this shade permanently tattooed on my lips. It’s a perfect matte rose that I love to wear on its own or as a base underneath a shimmery clear or light beige lip gloss.

Cherry Flush

Cherry Flush

Cherry Flush

Cherry Flush

Cherry Flush is a bright, cheerful red. While my daughter has lips that can carry this color, it’s too bright for my thin lips on its own. However, I definitely like it with a warmer toned shimmer gloss over it. A warm tone calms the brightness enough so I enjoy wearing it. Let me tell you, if I had lips like my daughter I would totally be rocking this out all by itself.

Perfect Red

Perfect Red

Perfect Red

Perfect Red

Perfect Red is pretty perfect. It’s not too blue and not too brown so any skin tone will find this a complimentary shade. It truly is one of the most gorgeous red lippies I have tried in a very long time.  Even if you have problems wearing red you’ve got to check this out – it just might become that one red lippie you can wear!

It Cosmetics never fails to impress us and the Your Lips But Better™ Waterproof Lip Liner Stain is yet another home run. These creamy, waterproof, long-lasting lip liners are absolutely worth your attention.

‘Tis the season to be glossy with December Glossybox

The latest box ‘o goodies from Glossybox is here, and it’s called ‘Tis the season to be glossy’ in celebration of the month of December.  Inside are items chosen to leave you hydrated, fragranced, and adorned for the holidays.  Here’s what I found inside my Glossybox:

hydration for your hair

Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil:  a deluxe size of argan oil for your hair.  Argan oil is super nourishing for you hair, leaving it shiny and healthy looking.  This has a slight perfumey fragrance.

hydration for your face

Skin & Co Roma Truffle Serum:  a deluxe size serum for your face.  It brightens your skin with peptides, Tuber Melansoporum and hyaluronic acid.  It smells like coconuts.  I don’t know if I got a bum one, but mine was only about 1/4 full.

hydration for your hands

Epionce Restorative Hand Cream:  a full size item.

love the full size items!

I found this to be a creamy, thick lotion that does an excellent job of hydrating my hands and leaving them super soft.

Illamasqua Medium Pencil

Illamasqua Lip & Eye Medium Pencil:  a full size item.  It’s a crap shoot in terms of the color you get, and I didn’t get one that I am thrilled about although I’m sure it’s the right color for somebody!

Mine is Thrash, and it’s orange.  More specifically, warm burnt orange.  Bummer.

Thrash swatched (try saying that five times fast!)

Looking at all the colors available, this would be last on my list.  But that’s part of the beauty box experience, you never know what you are going to get.  Maybe I should try this as an eyeliner…

Perfumies in Cloud Nine

Perfumies Solid Perfume Stick:  I think this is pretty cool.  It’s a small solid perfume stick that is great for your purse and for traveling.  My scent is Cloud Nine, which has notes of cedar, apple, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo, white rose, cedarwood, amber, and musk.  That’s a lot of notes for a small perfume stick!  It smells pretty, it’s a grown-up but outdoorsy scent.

I think my favorite item in this box is the hand cream, which is truly lovely and from a line I have never tried.  I wish I had gotten a different color pencil from Illamasqua, but you win some, you lose some!

As a side note, the box that holds those Glossybox goodies is awesome for repurposing.  It makes a pretty package for a gift, just put a ribbon around it and you are all set!  – Lisa

Enter our latest contest with Hard Candy

Hard Candy is a great line for many reasons – the products are terrific, they are easy to find at Walmart, and they are extremely affordable.  I think a lot of people pass up this line thinking it’s just for the younger crowd.  Big mistake – there are tons of cool things that are just as appropriate for grandmas as they are for teens.

Here’s a quick story about the Hard Candy nail polish pictured above, ” Beetle”.  Hard Candy Just Nails ($4) is nail color with a ‘ring’ to it.  Not only is the polish itself long-lasting and nicely chip resistant, it also has no DBP, toluene, or formaldehyde.  And it comes with a super cute ring.  My daughters (aged 6 and 10) are always duking it out to see who gets the ring from these polishes!

Beetle is an extremely interesting color.  It flashes both purple and yellow.  I took my 72-year-old mom for a pedicure, and I asked her to be the model for this color.  She wasn’t happy, but I was buying so she said OK.  It was just hysterical, the whole salon got involved – my mom hated the color, and the older women in the salon weren’t to sure about it either.  The younger crowd thought it was awesome, though.  It caused quite a debate!!  Afterward, my mom was not happy, she thought the color was awful.  But then the next day she called me and said, “You aren’t going to believe it…but I LOVE this nail polish now!!”   It had changed and deepened a bit after it fully dried, and my mom was in love.

As you can see, depending on the angle, the color changes from yellow to purple.  It’s just plain neat, and if my 72-year-old VERY picky mother loves it, I will bet you will too!!

Another of my favorites from Hard Candy is the Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil ($6).  It’s extremely convenient, easy to apply, and the look is somewhere between a lipstick and a lip gloss.  An application lasts the usual length for a lip gloss.  I tried Brown Sugar, also known as number 347.

It gives an extremely shiny, wet look that helps make lips appear larger.  It also has lots of shimmer.

Another favorite that my fellow bronzer loving peeps should check out is the Glow All the Way Tropical Tan – Instant Bronzer and Gradual Self Tanner ($8).  I cannot believe this huge tube of fabulousness is only $8!!

This product gives you an instant tan, it’s like a creamy bronzer with some gold shimmer.  With repeated use, it also works as a gradual self tanner that gets darker each time.  Very, very cool.  Oh, and it’s infused with 24 carat gold, which just increases the fun factor in my book.

Here it is swatched very heavily on my hand:

And you can see how it blends in beautifully.  It’s not super obvious, but it does give color and slight shimmer.  I use this both my body and my face, I love it as a cream bronzer under the cheekbones and lightly down the center of the face, on the forehead, nose, and chin.I am loving all three products, and thanks to the good folks at Hard Candy you can win them for yourself!!  The rules are simple.

1.  Be a subscriber to Beauty Info Zone.

2.  Leave a comment telling us which of the three products sounds the most awesome to you.

3.  *****Send us an email at [email protected] identifying your comment.   (Don’t forget this step!!!)

This contest is for US and Canada readers only.

And that’s it!!  So easy, and these are really fun products.  Why not take a chance and enter?

The contest ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011.  Be sure to enter today, and good luck!!  – Lisa
