LiftLab products all contain a patented Cell Protection Protein (CPP®) that is exclusive to the brand. CPP® was first discovered in the Arctic as the secret to survival for plants and marine life that thrive in those sub-zero conditions. They use CPP® along with unique active ingredients to create results of unprecedented protection and regeneration benefits for healthier and younger skin.

LiftLab Purify + Clarify

LiftLab Purify + Clarify

The newest product from LiftLab is Purify + Clarify. This is significantly larger than the other pieces in the set because it has three jobs to do. It’s a daily cleanser, it’s a gentle exfoliant, plus it is your detox mask. It’s not often that a product has 3 benefits in one treatment package. This is a gentle cleanser that helps refine pores and remove the layer of dead skin cells. Try it as a detox mask by applying it, leaving it on for 3 – 5 minutes, then finish by using it to exfoliate your skin. The exfoliation isn’t harsh and it washes away without leaving any residue. Especially on a trip you don’t want to overdo or irritate you. This leaves you with stimulated cell renewal.

LiftLab Lift + Fix serum

LiftLab Lift + Fix serum

Lift + Fix Restore Serum is the next step and a favorite as I love using serums on my skin. It’s a delight to have the opportunity to try out this concentrated serum. As someone who needs anti-aging skincare I love that I finally have a travel size serum. It’s a thin serum but a little goes a long way. This is especially great for skin with redness or irritation. Apply it before sun exposure and the CPP® in it helps to protect against exposure to UVA and UVB rays. It’s not a sunscreen but it is a sunscreen’s best friend.

LiftLab Lift + Repair Treatment Serum

LiftLab Lift + Repair Treatment Serum

I raved about the Lift + Fix Serum but there’s more to rave about since there’s a treatment serum in this package too. Lift + Repair Treatment Serum is a multi-action treatment. “It’s formulated with Cell Protection Protein™ plus six additional proteins and peptides to maximize skin regeneration and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.” If you have very sensitive skin this isn’t recommended for you though. In that case you’d want to stick with Lift + Fix which is their Restore Serum.

Lift + Repair has other essential ingredients like

Easyliance®, a botanical derivative to visibly firm and strengthen skin and provide a youthful glow
Kollaren®, an innovative peptide that repairs and rebuilds skin’s own collagen and elastin
Vitamins E, B5 and B3 to help protect from UV damage, even skin tone and reduce redness

This is highly penetrating and works fast to provide immediate hydration.

LiftLab Lift + Moisturize Daily Cream

LiftLab Lift + Moisturize Daily Cream

LiftLab Lift + Moisturize Daily Cream finishes up this set. CPP® helps increase the production of collagen and elastin so it’s an excellent moisturizer to extend skin’s youthfulness. This absorbs very quickly and helps with fine lines. I haven’t had a problem with foundation balling up after using this along with a serum. Now I just need it to remove another 10 years from my face! Lift + Moisturize is recommended for all skin types, especially combination to oily skin.

Along with CPP® active ingredients include:
– Syniorage™, a targeted peptide to help increase firmness by strengthening cohesion of the skin’s upper layers for a refined texture and anti-aging effect
– Hyalurosmooth™, a botanical derivative to bind moisture to the cells, plump skin and visibly diminish fine lines

– Gransil DNAM, a sophisticated blend of 3 silicones to lock in moisture and create a smooth, silky surface

Underneath the holder I found 2 sample packets: Lift + Protect for total rejuvenation and Lift + Firm Eye Cream. What a nice surprise.

Top 10 Tuesday picks favorite eye creams

Give me eye cream now! Give me eye balm immediately! Give me eye serums ASAP. If it’s for the delicate eye area I want it. I’ve reviewed a lot of eye creams so picking just 10 (or 9 as you’ll see) was extremely difficult. Some came to mind instantly because I’m either using them or I’ve bought them again. Others are ones I really enjoyed but picking between them was a difficult choice. My Top Ten are ones I would recommend without a doubt so let’s see what they are:

1. ALGENIST EYE RENEWAL BALM –  I’m on my second jar of the Algenist plus I’ve used up some sample sizes. This is the first eye cream I thought of when we picked this topic. I chose this for my desert island Beauty Spotlight Team and I’d chose it again.

2. KATE SOMERVILLE KateCeuticals MULTI-ACTIVE EYE CREAM – Kate Somerville makes more than one eye cream. I’m sure they are all wonderful but this one is the most wonderful. My eyes drank this up and begged for more. If you are looking for true anti-aging properties, splurge on this.

3. SOMME INSTITUTE EYE – I’ve repurchased every product from Somme Institute. At first I didn’t repurchase EYE but as soon as I was done with it, I missed it. Even though it doesn’t contain SPF it’s one of my favorite daytime eye creams. It’s lightweight and concealer doesn’t crease when I mix it with Somme Eye. Watch for this on Hautelook.

4. SENNA LIFT AND LIGHTEN EYE CREAM – It’s been four years since I reviewed this Senna Eye Cream but I haven’t forgotten it. I bought a second jar at IMATS because I love how it lightens my dark circles and hydrates under my eyes. Plus it’s still only $28 even after all this time.

5. YBF CORRECT – Simple name, not so simple protect. Your Best Face (YBF) tells you succinctly what their products will do and then they prove it by doing research and using the best ingredients to make sure their products work. Correct works!

6. YES TO BLUEBERRIES EYE FIRMING TREATMENT – This is my latest eye cream. I’ve been using it daily for about 6 weeks and I can’t bring myself to move on. It totally surprised me since I’m not a mass market skincare person in general but this has kept my eyes looking less lined, my dark circles at bay and has rid me of morning puffiness. For $15-20 (depending on where you buy it) this is a must to try.

7. LIFT LAB LIFT & FIRM EYE CREAM – The gel like texture of Lift Lab’s Eye Cream is very soothing. It’s lightweight and you don’t even realize you have it on during the daytime. What you will realize is how soft the skin around your eyes feels and how your puffiness isn’t really noticeable.

8. EXUVIANCE AGE REVERSE EYE CONTOUR – The name tells you one of the reasons I like this. I won this in a giveaway almost 4 years ago and wish I had it again. My memory is short when it comes to “why did I come into this room” but not on eye creams. It helps firm the collagen around eyes. I need this again.

9. DERMAdoctor WRINKLE REVENGE RESCUE & PROTECT EYE BALM – This does it all. It moisturizes, firms, reduces puffiness, helps eliminate dark circles, helps with fine lines and bakes cookies. Ok, I’m kidding about the cookies but it would if it could. It’s thicker than most of the others I’ve mentioned but sometimes you need that.

10. EYES by TO GO SPA EYE MASKS – I’m cheating. I can’t help it. When you need a way to make your eyes look less lined and more relaxed you want something like an eye mask. I’ve tried and loved quite a few but I always go back to EYES by ToGoSpa. They now have 3 varieties and it’s hard to pick which you want but you won’t go wrong with any of them. These are collagen eye masks that you want any time you want to look your best.

Now it’s your turn. What are your favorite eye creams (balms, serums, masks, etc.)? I’m sure you have some to recommend and I know my fellow Top 10 bloggers will tempt us with more. — Marcia

Lift & Firm Eye Cream by Lift Lab – it does the heavy lifting for you

Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

Lift Lab is a skincare company that specializes in age prevention therapy. It’s the equivalent of seeing a psychologist for your skin. Take care of your needs now before they become problems later. They use a patented ingredient called Cell Protection Protein which is a 100% natural biological component found in the wintering organisms in the sub-arctic regions. “Through further research and testing, Cell Protection Proteins was proven in both clinical and in vitro tests to also protect cells from destructive chemical imbalances and harsh UV rays, while improving skin’s moisture balance. Perhaps most crucially, Cell Protection Proteins boost the skin’s natural regeneration process by allowing skin cells to produce more of their own proteins that provide protection and growth. This result is the basis for the LIFTLAB Self-Regulating Lift System.”

Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

I’ve been using Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream which contains Cell Protection Protein for the last 6 weeks since it was sent for review. I apply this light green cream nightly though I could use it twice a day as recommended. I have a few problems under my eyes and Lift & Firm Eye Cream helps address these. Lift Lab explains that the goals of their Eye Cream are to redefine the eye area to visibly firm and reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, deep wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness and sagginess.

about Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

about Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

For me the biggest difference is in my fine lines and sagginess. My dark circles have more to do with my uneven sleep patterns and I haven’t found that most eye creams can help with that. When I take pictures of my eyes I’m doing them in extreme close up and I do see puffiness but in real life unless you have the vision of Superman, in general you don’t see that.

Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

Lift Lab Lift & Firm Eye Cream

What I like about Lift & Firm is that my undereye area feels very soft to the touch and much more even in color on most days. The formula is more of a gel-like texture so it’s particularly light. When I do use it during the day, it doesn’t interfere with the concealer I use under my eyes. I find that no matter when I use it, I just need a small amount. A little goes a long way which helps when using an expensive eye cream.

If you are looking for an eye cream that is lightweight yet fights against the ravages of age, then Lift & Firm by Lift Lab should be on your list for consideration. Have you tried this? I noticed that Beauty Army had it as a sample to choose one month and for the most part people loved it. I know I’m happy to have this as part of my arsenal. — Marcia

My Beauty Army goodies for July

Beauty Army July

Beauty Army July

One of the reasons I like the Beauty Army subscription boxes so much is that you have some control over the box. You fill out a profile and can specify from what categories you’d like things. You can also change that profile any time you want. They notify you when it’s your day to select. I don’t think everyone has the same day, I know mine starts on the 20th of the month. They’ll show you about 9 items and you can pick up to 6 of them. If you don’t care for these items you can do one of two things – opt out for the month or play around with your profile and see what else pops up for your selection.

Beauty Army boxes are $10 including shipping and they arrive in a great pink cigar box. I’ve opted out of the box for the last several months but when the July selection came through there was enough in the box to justify my $10 and I went for it. See past months here.

In my pink box there are 2 full size items, 2 packets and 2 minis. I said yes to the box because of the two full size items.

1) Addiction NV gel eyeliner in Big Daddy which is a chocolate shade. I love gel eyeliners and I go through brown ones quickly. Now the quirk in this is that I just looked it up to find the price and they are gone – out of business – goodbye to Addiction NV. I’ve reviewed 3 shades here but I neglected to put in the price which I believe was around $14. I expect that we’ll see Addiction NV products showing up in some subscriptions. Discontinued or not, I’m happy to have another brown liner because I toss them if they dry out. I’m still using my green one (Scene) and it’s over a year and a half old and going strong. This looks like it’s pulling away a little so I’ll use it quickly.

2) Remington AnyWear Hair ties for hair – these are available at Walmart and cost $2.50 each. I like these for pulling my hair off my neck and go through them quickly. I always meant to pick up the Remington ones but never saw them when I was wandering around Wally World. The colors are pretty summer shades of lilac, peach and cherry. They aren’t as tight as some brands and seem a little bigger. This kind of hair tie eventually loses its mojo so having a few extra around is always a pleasure.

3) Bikini Soft Smooth Shave Oil – this is a deluxe sample size and seems really nice. I’ve never used an oil for shaving but oils are becoming bigger in my world so this will be a treat to try. Great size for travel too. Here’s the website (https://www.bikinisoft.com/) which talks to you. LOL.

4) Mini Kittour travel bottle – speaking of travel – this is an empty bottle that will fit 30ml/1 fl oz of product. This sells for $6 for a set of 2. I can always use things like this.

The rest of my choices were packets and I chose two. I chose Lift Lab Daily Cream since I’m using Lift Lab’s eye cream now with success. I also chose Pida Exfoliating Gel for no specific reason other than that it seemed the most interesting of my choices. Beauty Army makes it sound pretty great so it was hopefully a good one.

So there you have my latest Beauty Army box. If you are interested in this subscription I’d love it if you used my Referral Link so I could eventually get a free box. I promise to share. What do you think of this month’s choices? Have you considered Beauty Army? — Marcia
