Loving these eyeliners! Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens plus Eye Bright Liner and Eye Define Waterline TightlineBlack

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens

Pixi does many, many things right and gel pencil eyeliners are at the top of the list. I love a great gel eyeliner – quick, easy, vibrant color that lasts all day. I have some favorites – Make Up For Ever, Bobbi Brown…but I think Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens ($12) are my stars. They are sooo creamy and they really do glide on. The best part is that they just don’t budge. I can work out, sweat, cry, really cry, rub my eyes, cry some more, it doesn’t matter – unless I am taking my eyeliner off with makeup remover, this eyeliner stays true! Plus, they are perfect for the waterline. This is holy grail stuff, my friends.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens swatches

BlackBlue is an excellent shade. It’s not the run of the mill dark blue or the typical black. I love the mix of black and blue – it gives awesome definition but isn’t harsh.

MatteMulberry is a lovely reddish-brown. It looks great paired with RoseGlow or to mix things up I use this to line my upper lid and then line my lower lid with BlackBlue.

VelvetViolet really surprised me. I didn’t think I would have much use for this bright violet purple, but it’s one of my favorites! I do a simple eye look with it – just a sheer wash of color, like MAC Painterly, then line my upper lid with VelvetViolet and my lower lid with BlackBlue, and follow with tons of super black mascara. It’s divine.

RoseGlow is just gorgeous – a shimmery golden bronze that is so flattering, especially if you have hazel eyes. It’s really perfect paired with MatteMulberry.

Application is truly delightful with lots of play time before the gel liner sets. I adore these shades, and there are 17 more shades available so take a look – your perfect shades are bound to be in there somewhere!

Eye Bright Liner Nude

Eye Bright Liner Nude ($11.99) is different from the MatteNude Endless Silky Eye Pen which I reviewed HERE. This has a smaller tip which makes it better for precision lining. It’s also a non-sharpening pen, so you twist it up instead of using a pencil sharpener. I always feel like I get a fresh point with a sharpener so I don’t know if this is a plus or not – your preference, really.  Otherwise, I think it’s basically the same as the MatteNude Endless Silky Eye Pen – a peachy/pink nude shade that finishes the waterline and really opens up the eye making it look doe-eye huge. It is waterproof so it lasts all day, and it works for sensitive eyes.

Eye Define Waterline TightlineBlack

Eye Define Waterline TightlineBlack ($14) had me all excited – a thin black liner for the waterline and for tightlining! I was hoping for the same awesome staying power as the rest of the Pixi eyeliners, but sadly this smudged on me pretty quickly. This has the same non-sharpening pen style as the EyeBright Liner Nude. I wanted to love it but I didn’t. I’ll stick with the Endless Silky Eye Pens for my waterline and tightlining – they work great and last all day long.

Eye Bright Liner Nude and Eye Define Waterline TightlineBlack

Whatever your eyelining pleasure, Pixi has wonderful options. Personally, I don’t think you can beat the Endless Silky Eye Pens and I would love to collect all 21 shades.  You can find them and other great Pixi products at Target stores nationwide.  – Lisa

Eyes, eyes, and more eyes from Pixi!

The more I use Pixi Beauty the more I love it and today I have nothing but EYE love from this fabulously affordable and super fun line! They sell my favorite mascara – the Lengthy Fiber Mascara ($16) – but that isn’t even what I’m writing about today.  Today is all about eye liner and eyeshadow.

Before I get into the eyeshadow palettes, I want to give a quick hello to these two pencil eyeliners – the Endless Silky Eye Pens ($12), one in MatteNude and the other in RoseGlow. They are sooo creamy and they really do glide on and the best part is that they just don’t budge. I can work out, sweat, cry, really cry, rub my eyes, it doesn’t matter – unless I am taking my eyeliner off with makeup remover, this eyeliner stays true! Plus, they are perfect for the waterline. This is holy grail stuff, my friends.

Waterproof
• Gives the concentrated colour of a liquid liner in a silky, easy to apply pencil
• Stays looking flawless all day
• Hypoallergenic
• No mineral oils
• No preservatives

MatteNude is perfect for the waterline. It’s a peachy shade that finishes the waterline and really opens up the eye making it look doe-eye huge. One word of caution – if this liner gets too warm it can deposit too much product, so be careful. Otherwise, perfection.

RoseGlow is just gorgeous – a shimmery golden bronze that is so flattering, especially if you have hazel eyes. Application is truly delightful with lots of play time before it sets and I adore this shade but if it’s not your cup of tea there are 21 shades available so I’m sure you can find something that suits you perfectly.

Pixi Beauty Mesmerizing Mineral Eyeshadow Palette

Ok, now for some eyeshadow palettes. There are nine different Mesmerizing Mineral Palettes ($12) available, and we have reviewed several of them. Each palette has six shades of eyeshadow and a dual-sided sponge applicator. The eyeshadows are mineral shadows that have great pigmentation and all the palettes feature gemstone-inspired shades. My palette is Desert SunsetI didn’t think I would like this nearly as much as I do – the red shade scared me, but it’s really pretty! And you would be surprised how versatile orange really is. The other shades include a medium matte brown, a deep brown with tiny golden shimmer, a dark golden shimmery brown, and a medium shimmery brown. They are all very pretty, rich shades with a great color pay off that make this palette a great buy, especially since it often goes on sale for half off!

On the larger palette side, the Eye Reflection Shadow Palette Mixed Metals ($24) is gorgeous! It’s a lovely combination of lighter and darker shades, some that give a creamy glow, some that give a three-dimensional metallic finish, and some with a matte finish. The twelve colors range from a light golden cream to a dark brown. I find all of the shades to be very interesting with a nice texture; beautifully blendable and heavily pigmented.

Overall, I think the Endless Silky Eye Pens are must haves – they are really perfect eyeliner pencils that apply so beautifully and easily and they come in an array of gorgeous shades. The Mesmerizing Mineral Palettes is a great buy if it’s on sale – the Desert Sunset collection is nice but it isn’t essential by any means; however, if it’s on sale for $6 it’s totally worth it. The  Eye Reflection Shadow Palette Mixed Metals is most definitely a great buy and if you are looking for some beautiful metallic shades to liven up your eyeshadow wardrobe without breaking the bank, this is a truly fantastic option! You can find Pixi by Petra at Target stores nationwide.  – Lisa

It’s all about the eyes with Eyeko!

Many people actually do their eyes first in their makeup routine in case it’s the only thing they can get done, because if all else fails at least they have their eyes! When it comes to eye makeup, Eyeko has you covered from brows to lower lashes. Lisa and Marcia have some great recommendations today so read on to find out what makes their souls shine brightly through!

Eyeko Me & My Shadow

Lisa’s soul is shining with Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Liner

I actually don’t have much experience with cream eyeshadows and cream eyeliners…I have oily lids so I tend to stay away from them. I use pencils and gel liners. However, Marcia raves about these so I was happy to give them a whirl and I’m glad I did. I have three of the six shades Eyeko carries. Mine are Quartz, Bronze, and Chocolate.  Other shades available are Topaz, Taupe, and Charcoal. ($25)

Eyeko Me & My Shadow in Chocolate, Quartz, Bronze

My biggest worry was that these would melt right off of my lids, especially during my workouts. All my worry was for naught – these babies stay right in place, even on leg day! They don’t crease, fade, flake, or smudge. Eye makeup remover takes them off easily, but you definitely need it. You can apply the liner directly or warm it up on the back of your hand and use the brush on the other end of the handle. The tip of the color is rounded, so this isn’t going to give you a defined line, it’s a thick band of color that you can smudge out.

Eyeko Me & My Shadow Brush

Eyeko Me & My Shadow in top to bottom: Chocolate, Quartz, Bronze

Charcoal is a matte dark brown that smudges out wonderfully. I really appreciate how this doesn’t smear – what a find! Quartz is a beautiful pinky/peach shade that does a great job of opening the eyes. It’s terrific on the brow bone as well as used to line the eyes. Bronze is a pretty medium bronze that looks amazing with hazel eyes. I use this one the most of the three. All in all, Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Liners have won me over and now I am on a mission to get the other three colors!!

Eyeko Me & My Shadow

Marcia’s soul is shining with Eyeko mascara, eyeliners, and brow gel

Eyeko eyeliners, brow gel and mascaras

First and foremost for me are eye products. That’s what I crave and what I’m always in the mood for. So my soul was thrilled to have the opportunity to use these EYEKO products. 2 mascaras, 2 eyeliners, and 1 brow gel have been gracing my eyes the last few weeks and I’m a very happy blogger.

EYEKO BLACK MAGIC LIQUID EYELINER AND SPORT WATERPROOF EYELINER were the first products to grace my eyes. Liquid eyeliners are my favorite and the Black Magic liquid liner is quite impressive as you can easily create a thin or thick line depending on your preference. The color is a deep “carbon black” and the formula features Widelash, a conditioning Tripeptide complex designed to enhance the appearance of eyelashes. Ulta mentions that it’s waterproof though the box doesn’t say that but it doesn’t come off with water or tears. ($22)

Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner

Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner

I love that the inner box reminds me that “if you can do liquid liner, you can do anything” since liquid liners are my forte. I don’t know why they are easier than a pencil for me but it must be the precision of the tip on the Eyeko liner. That’s not to say that I don’t like pencil liners and especially the SPORT WATERPOOF EYELINER PENCIL. This is truly waterproof and is great for outdoor fun, sports, and happy/sad occasions.

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Eyeliner

Eyeko obviously has a great sense of humor “Never ask a girl with winged eyeliner why she’s late” and I have to love them for understanding me so well.

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Eyeliner

The twist up pencil has a brush on the opposite end and a hidden built in sharpener so it’s great as a travel liner. It doesn’t go anywhere you don’t want it to. Making this unique is that it contains coconut oil in the formula so it applies extra easily.

Eyeko Brow Gel

Prior to trying Eyeko’s Brow Gel I really thought that most brow gels were pretty much the same but Eyeko has found a way to make there’s just that much better to change my mind. It only comes in one shade “tinted” and when I first applied it I thought it was a light brown but, with time and one more coat, it darkened and evened out my brows.

Eyeko Brow Gel

Eyeko’s nano-brush and botanically-enriched formula effortlessly defines brows for a natural finish whilst maintaining a healthy brow look with Eyeko Brow Gel. Infused with key ingredients Keratin and Gingko Biloba combined with natural proteins and multi vitamins to condition, thicken and visibily improve the appearance of your brows.
I like the small brush on it even though it doesn’t coat in one fell swoop but it also doesn’t get on my skin.

Eyeko is known for their mascara. The first time I ever heard of Eyeko was because of the raves from women loving their line of mascara. There are 9 different ones sold at Ulta which shows how ingrained the mascara line is for them. I’ve got two to recommend.

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara

BLACK MAGIC MASCARA is a fabulous one for drama and curl. Not only does it help hold the fake curl on my lashes with it’s curved brush but it also adds volume. It’s got everything I look for in a mascara. It’s enriched with conditioning Keratin and Shea Butter to help with lash care so you’d think it would smudge but NO!! No smudging. It has a tubing formula that can be removed with warm water though I prefer a bi-phase eye makeup remover for everything. You’ll see those little squiggly lines of mascara come off but it’s not harming your lashes at all.

from Ulta: Eyeko Black Magic Mascara

Eyeko brush comparison: Black Magic and Sport

I also have SPORT WATERPROOF MASCARA which is totally different from Black Magic but works so well. The brush is really big and is so much wider than any brush I’ve seen before. I thought it would be hard to apply because of the size but surprisingly it isn’t. This is a fibre-enhanced formula boosted with collagen and fruit extracts. It adheres really well which is why it’s recommended for sports, even extreme sports. I think we should send this to our athletes in the winter Olympics!

Eyeko brush comparison: Black Magic and Sport

From Ulta: Eyeko Sport Mascara

I only wish I had beautiful (though surely photoshopped) eyes and lashes like the brand shows but if I can get better looking lashes to help enhance my tired eyes, I’ll take it.

There are many reasons we like Eyeko. This cruelty-free company doesn’t use parabens and is always looking for creative Korean technology when bringing out new products. Shop at Ulta.com, Blue Mercury, Dermstore or Nordstrom for all your eyes crave.

Put some POW! into New Years EVE with IT Cosmetics!

What to wear for New Years Eve…take a quick trip to Ulta and spend those gift cards that Santa gave you on some IT Cosmetics and you’ll have all the cosmetics you’ll need for superhero-worthy beauty that lasts all night. Of course, you’ll want to pick up my ultimate favorite concealer – I can’t believe it has even surpassed my precious favorite, Bye Bye Undereye (which is still freaking fantastic). I think I love this one even better now that I’m older and my skin is a little dryer, the Bye Bye Undereye Concealing Pot is slightly creamier and man is it good.

samples affiliates Next, use the CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream – no need for any primer – and you have the perfect base for everything else.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream

For cheeks, I adore the Bye Bye Pores Blush in Sweet Cheeks, which makes pores disappear. Some blushes seem to settle right into pores and make them look like huge craters – ugh, you know what I mean. This pressed powder does the opposite, leaving skin looking practically poreless thanks to Optical Blurring Technology and anti-aging silk, hydrolyzed collagen, antioxidants and peptides. Sweet Cheeks is such pretty peachy/gold/pink.

Now, let’s talk EYES.  No one does eyes like IT Cosmetics! Their Superhero Palette is, in my humble opinion, outstanding. It’s divided into three sections – one section with very subtle, nude shades, one with what they call neutral shades but they do have more oomph, and one that has lots of drama and can be used as liners. All sections have a lovely buttery texture with lots of pigment and fantastic lasting power.  Marcia did an excellent review of the shades HERE which I won’t repeat, but here are some pics for you:

Nudes Eye Base

The Nudes shades are indeed subtle, and give a very natural but finished look. You can wear them by themselves or else combine them with other colors in the palette.

The Neutrals are beautiful shades are a little more than neutral, really – I think they pack a punch. I love them – particularly the golden shade that plays well with my hazel eyes. Beautiful!

The Liners shades are beautiful. You can use them wet or dry. They are fantastic accents for the crease as well.

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Superhero Brush

The perfect brush, by the way, for this amazing palette is the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Superhero Brush ($29). This is an amazing brush totally worthy of its name!! Goodness knows I love a multi-tasker, and this takes multi-tasking to a new extreme.

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Superhero Brush Liner side

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Superhero Brush Crease brush

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Superhero Brush Smudger brush

One side is the liner brush, and the other side slides to become three different brushes – an all-over shadow brush, a crease brush, and a smudge brush. This is the perfect travel brush.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Liner

IT Cosmetics Superhero Eyeliner swatch

Of course, you also need a superhero worthy eyeliner and IT Cosmetics has that too – the Superhero Liner ($24). This is one of the easiest liquid eyeliners I have ever used. It goes on with the ease of a marker but it still has the power of a liquid liner. It also really lasts without peeling or chipping. The brush is like a felt tip brush and it keeps its quality without fraying or bending.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara wand

Superhero Mascara ($24) finishes out your look with super thick, super long, super black lashes. I love this mascara. It has something called Proprietary Elastic Stretch Technology that I can’t even pretend to understand, but somehow it wraps each lash in a ‘black cape of power and color’ which sounds pretty darn cool. Whatever it does, it makes my lashes look fantastic, which is good enough for me!!

Valencia Key Shero Earrings

Now that your face looks AH-MAZING, why not accent it with this fabulous Valencia Key earrings? Valencia Key Earrings are for Dreamers, Believers, and Achievers.  Check them out at valenciakey.com.  Not only are these earring gorgeous, they come with this message:

Eyeko is making us EYEMAZING in today’s Side by Side!

Eyeko was probably the first brand to make us think about having a ‘wardrobe’ of eye products. We used to think one mascara worked for every occasion – but sometimes we just need defined lashes. Sometimes we want a little more drama. Sometimes we want drama the level of a highlight reel from COPS. The same for brows and of course for eyeshadow – just one product doesn’t cut it. Basically, we love lots of options when choosing what products to wear and Eyeko has given us some excellent goodies to play with!

Lisa’s eyes are wearing Tinted Brow Gel, Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner, and Lash Alert Mascara Wake Up and Go:

It’s been super hot this summer and I have been wishing for a great brow gel to take the place of my brow wax. I have nice brows but they need a little extra color boost and they definitely need some help staying in place. They tend to droop and look shaggy.  I absolutely love the Eyeko Tinted Brow Gel ($24)!

Eyeko Tinted Brow Gel

Eyeko Tinted Brow Gel

Eyeko Tinted Brow Gel swatch

It has a shorter, fatter spoolie, and the gel is tinted. It’s a medium brown with just a hint of shimmer in it. The spoolie really grabs the hairs and puts them in place, and the tint is perfect. It gives the right amount of color and a touch of brightness which opens the eye area. I love this!!

  • Tinted Gel
  • With vitamins, antioxidants, Keratin, Ginkgo Biloba and botanical proteins to promote growth
  • Natural, long-lasting hold without flaking or stiffness

Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner

Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner

The Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner ($22) is a great liquid eyeliner – it was inspired by calligraphy brushes – that goes on like a thin magic marker. It creates a very thin, precise line like a liquid liner, but without the mess. You can have shaky pre-coffee morning hands and still end up with a gorgeous line. This is especially good for cats eye looks, as well as very precise thick lines.

  • Contains Widelash with a tripeptide boost to promote lash growth for up to 3x more length and volume in 15 days
  • Japanese precision brush tip for single stroke colour
  • Waterproof, long-wear, fade-proof
  • Carbon Black

Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara

Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara

Lash Alert Mascara Wake Up and Go ($26) is a fantastic mascara – this is a must have! The curved brush is excellent for picking up every single lash. It does take several coats to get the full effect, but three coats gives lots of drama that doesn’t smudge, flake, or smear. It thickens up lashes beautifully with fibers and gives tons of volume and definition. It also washes off easily, which is a big plus. I love this mascara and it’s been a heavy hitter in my mascara rotation!

  • Shea Butter to nourish
  • Caffeine to stimulate
  • Arginine to repair
  • Biotinoyl Tripepetide to regenerate
  • Biotin to thicken
  • Full contact helix brush to curl and volumise
  • Carbon Black
  • Award-winning Korean technology
  • Water-resistant tubing formula
  • Zero-waste squeezy tube
  • No running, smudging, crumbling or flaking
  • Paraben-free
  • Cruelty-free
  • Locks in colour and hold for 12hr+

Eyeko Black Magic Liner, Lash Alert Mascara, and Tinted Brow Gel

Marcia’s eyes are wearing Making Eyes 3 in 1 Brush, Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Eyeliner in Topaz, Charcoal, and Bronze:

Eyeko Me & My Shadow Liners and 3-in-1 Brush

Anyone that knows my taste knows I’m a huge fan of cream eyeshadows so the shadow eyeliners from Eyeko are a big hit for me. I have 3 of the 6 shades available (Topaz, Quartz, Taupe, Chocolate, Bronze, and Charcoal) and will need to be at least one more to get myself through the summer. Taupe is calling to me right now and it’s one of the shades that Ulta carries!

Eyeko Me & My Shadow in Topaz, Bronze, and Charcoal

While I will adore the Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Eyeliners all year it’s in summer that these really make their mark. They are truly waterproof. These last all day and night until you remove them with eye makeup remover. Water doesn’t take off the color unless you scrub and scrub which you don’t want to do. Putting some remover on a cotton pad removes them so that tomorrow you can try a new combination. To test out these shadow liners I’ve used eyeshadow primer on one eye and left my skin alone on the other. There’s no creasing or fading either way so that saves a step.

Eyeko Me & My Shadow in Charcoal, Bronze, and Topaz

Topaz is a champagne shade that is on the verge of being metallic. It brightens my eyes whether I wear it on the lid or on my browbone. I crave this type of color so it’s #1 with me. Bronze is a bright shade that plays so nicely with my brown eyes. It seems to bring out my eye color. The blending of these is amazing since they are soft and silky. Charcoal can be worn sooty or you can blend it down to a softer gray and that’s where the beauty lies. It has teeny bits of sparkle that don’t travel but livens up your smokey eye look.

Eyeko Me & My Shadow Brush

What makes the Eyeko eyeshadow crayons stand out from the crowd is the brush on the opposite end. It is a great tool to blend these out or to smoke the colors out. The brush makes these liners so much more versatile and a great travel companion.

Eyeko Making Eyes 3-in-1 Brush

I am totally blown away with the Eyeko Making Eyes 3-IN-1 Brush. This is the best travel tool I’ve found in all my searching. Brushes are my thing and I never travel without favorites but Eyeko is going to replace that huge brush set in its compactness. I am loving not only the simplicity of this tool but the way it works. “Travel-friendly packaging ensures each brush is covered and hygienically capped to keep your makeup bag pristine.”

Measuring almost 6 inches long there are 3 brushes and all work beautifully. For the eyeliner brush you just pull out and there’s a nicely angled brush that works well with gel liner as well as the shadow liners. Pull off the the first cap and there’s a rounded blending brush that does its job like a pro. One more pull and you’ll find the define brush that reminds me of the MAC 242 that I use constantly. But this gives me everything I need for only $20. I can’t tell you how great I think this is. There aren’t enough words!

It’s pretty obvious that both of us are thrilled with our Eyeko treasures but what we didn’t tell you yet is about the brand. “Created by beauty veterans Max and Nina Leykind, their mascaras and liners are favored by celebs and hotshot make-up artists alike. With style icon Alexa Chung on board as Creative Consultant – she credits them with creating her favorite look – Eyeko give the definitive edit for eyes.” You can find Eyeko at Ulta as well as their own website (free shipping) and it’s a brand well worth seeking out.

Hurry up because time is running out for the LE CoverGirl Katy Perry Katy Kat Pearl Collection!

CoverGirl Katy Kat Pearl Collection

CoverGirl Katy Kat Pearl Collection

Katy Perry has some beautiful products in her CoverGirl line and her limited edition Katy Kat Pearl collection for spring won’t be around much longer! Every item costs under $10 so if you find something you love snap it up now. Coty sent me some samples of a few products and my oldest daughter was happy to model them for me (she has MUCH nicer lips than I do!). This spring is all about shimmers and pastels, trends that work right into summer. Here’s what I was sent to test:

Covergirl Katy Kat Pearl Shadow + Highlighter

Covergirl Katy Kat Pearl Shadow + Highlighter ($8.99):  This is available in Tiger’s Eye and Tiger Rose. My shade is Tiger’s Eye. This has an interesting texture that is bouncy and gel-like. You use your fingers to apply, so to avoid bacterial contamination scoop some out onto a steel palette then pat it on with fingertips. The soft, spongy gel dries down quickly into a sheer shimmer that is very pretty as an eyeshadow or a cheek highlighter. I think this is a product for younger faces…those of us with a few wrinkles won’t do well with the creamy texture and the amount of shimmer, but those in their teens and twenties will love it.

Covergirl Katy Kat Pearl Shadow + Highlighter and Covergirl Katy Kat Eyeliner in Purrmaid

Covergirl Katy Kat Pearl Shadow + Highlighter and Covergirl Katy Kat Eyeliner in Purrmaid

Covergirl Katy Kat Eyeliner ($6.99):  This is available in Kitty WhisPURR (silver) and Purrmaid (green). I have Purrmaid, a beautiful shimmery teal green. This pencil eyeliner is different from others because it’s easy like a pencil liner, but it has the intensity of a liquid liner. It also lasts all day – a good eight hours for sure. It has this really neat-o smudge tip – I have to admit, I use it with all of my pencil liners, not just this one!

So let’s start with Blue-tiful Kitty.

Covergirl Katy Kat Pearl Lipstick in Blue-tiful Kitty

Covergirl Katy Kat Pearl Lipstick in Blue-tiful Kitty

This was the major reason I asked my daughter to model for me. She has better lips, and there is NO way I can get away with blue lips. Trust me, when I am three breaths away from kicking the bucket I’ll be putting on some pink lip gloss. So, we went full-on blue for a photo, but I don’t think it’s the best way to wear this lipstick at any age.

I actually think it’s sublime when paired with Apricat, which I’ll show you in a minute.

Here is full on Apricat, which is a really exquisite shimmery apricot. This is soft, pretty, shiny, and hydrating. The price point is fantastic and if you only buy one thing from this collection, I would recommend this fabulous lippie. Now, check it out with some Blue-tiful on the inner portion of the lips, blended outward:

So pretty, right?? I love it!! The more I play with these products and shades the more I love them. The Katy Kat Pearl limited edition spring collection won’t be around much longer, so be sure pick some up at the drugstore or Ulta when you are out. I just can’t over the prices on these products!! The Eye Shadow Primer has an excellent price and come on – at just four bucks, why not buy all five versions of the 9 Pan Eyeshadow Compact?? These are products to really experiment with – try all those fun looks on Pinterest without any guilt!

Jesse's Girl Eyeshadow Primer

Jesse’s Girl Eyeshadow Primer

The Eye Shadow Primer is very nice. It’s a silky primer that isn’t too wet. It creates a smooth canvas for eyeshadows and increases wear time. I find that when I use this, I get far less creasing, especially with cream eyeshadows.

Dream Girl

Dream Girl

The 9 Pan Eyeshadow Compact is nine pans of playtime. I have Dream Girl, which is a collection of super pretty neutral shades that range from creamy off white to deep shimmery brown. The one black sheep color is the deep purple shade which seems a little out of place, but it actually makes for a great addition to the slew of variations of tan, beige, and taupe.

There is everything anyone could need for a neutral eye in this palette and the deep purple and deep shimmery brown are great for lining or for some lid or crease drama. You will want to layer to get more color payoff, but hey, at this price why not go crazy??

The texture of these shadows vary a bit from pan to pan, but overall they are not too powdery. They go on sheer but you can build them up for more color. They blend well and wear well, especially when I wear them along with the Eye Shadow Primer. And again, at this price, you just can’t go wrong!!

Jesse’s Girl Liquid Eyeliners

I don’t leave the house without eyeliner. It’s a necessity to me and at $6.99 each I can have as many as I’d want. That’s where Jesse’s Girl comes into play. I was sent 4 shades and promptly went out and bought 1 more, that’s how much I like them.

I wear liquid eyeliner 90% of the time with gel liners and pencils making up the other 10%. I seem to have a knack for putting them on. Even with crinkly lids at times I get a smooth straight line with these Jesse’s Girl eyeliners.

I love the point on these since they are thin yet sturdy. As long as I shake them up before use I get a steady line without skipping. And they last really well. One of my eyes tears up often at the end and they will fade there but not disappear.

Jesse’s Girl Liquid Eyeliners in Black and Dark Brown

Believe it or not it’s really hard to find a dark brown liquid eyeliner that doesn’t pull red. Everyone makes black eyeliner but not everyone makes dark brown which is what I wear most of the time. Jesse’s Girl Dark Brown Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner is one of the best I’ve found in the drugstore. Luckily the Rite Aid closest to my house has Jesse’s Girl on display so I had no trouble finding it in person.

Black has an almost patent effect so it’s shiny, Dark Brown is exactly what it should be (rich and a true brown), Lilac is just the most fun shade as it’s a very pretty purple that adds a great touch, White is a true white and one you won’t find anywhere else at this price, and Blue Hawaii looks like a true ocean blue.

If you are a novice at applying liquid eyeliner these are a perfect place to start. You want something that gives you a substantial container to hold onto and you want a brush that isn’t going to flop, bend, or smear. The tip of Jesse’s Girl is perfect IMO. I’m not a novice and I find these to be great and easy to work with.jesses girl eyeliner info
