April 2017 Your Bijoux Box #YourBijouxBoxStyle

We are already more than halfway through April – time is flying – and the best part about it are the subscription boxes that I find on my porch each month!! April has already been excellent thanks to the latest Your Bijoux Box.  It truly is an outstanding collection this month.        sample, affiliate links

Your Bijoux Box April 2017

Your Bijoux Box April 2017

The April Collection from Your Bijoux Box is a coordinated set of three pieces that complement almost any outfit, dressed up or dressed down. Each monthly box has three jewelry items for women (this month there were three jewelry items plus two extra items). The boxes are curated by stylists so although these are customized, everyone gets the same jewelry each month, although April was special – there were multiple styles of necklaces available, so each box had a real surprise. It’s been really cool to check out which style of necklace everyone else got, although I am totally happy with the necklace I received.  A monthly subscription is $36 and there are options for a three-month ($103) or six month ($206) subscription. They ship to the US and Canada.

Your Bijoux Box April 2017

The April Collection featured Karen Kane pieces which made me dance a happy spring dance since I adore this line. All the pieces coordinate so well I found myself wearing every single piece on the same day…I think that’s the first time that’s happened for me with a subscription box collection.

  1.  Karen Kane Gold Hoops ($31):  apparently the styles vary a bit on these earrings, with some styles thicker and a bit smaller. I couldn’t be happier with the ones I got. The shape is interesting – just a bit oblong, and even though they aren’t a closed hoop I had no problem with my hair getting caught in them. I have nothing like these classically beautiful gold hoops so they were the beginning of my major happy dance.

2. Goldenrod Statement Bracelet: this pretty chunky bracelet features greenish/gold crystals and an adjustable size. I love the toggle and hoop closure which is so much easier to navigate than a clasp. Sometimes I wear it loose, sometimes I go for the snug fit, but however I wear it I know it looks stunning. This is a great bracelet.

3.  Karen Kane Pink Reversible Pendant Necklace (up to $120):  I’ve seen lots of gorgeous versions on other blogs who review Your Bijoux Box, but I think I like my style of necklace best!!  My Karen Kane Necklace is a multi-tasker, with one side a rectangle of tiny crystals that are incredibly brilliant, and the other side a soft and feminine peachy peach rimmed with gold. Take a look at some of the other blogs and their reviews, like My Subscription Addiction, Subscription Box Ramblings, and Hello Subscription so you can see a few other necklace styles.  (I definitely got the best one, although they are all super pretty!!).

4.  April Flowers Hair Pins:  These two feminine and gorgeous hair pins were the extras in this month’s box. I am loving hair jewelry for spring and I actually think these two little surprises just might be my favorite items in the April Your Bijoux Box. They are so cute together on one side, but sometimes I use one for each side to mix it up a little.

The April Collection Your Bijoux Box is a beautiful way to start off your own spring happy dance. Unboxing The Zoe Report Box of Style

The Zoe Report Box of StyleWho doesn’t want a stylist? I know when something looks great but I’m not always the best at actually finding the items and picking them out. Probably the most famous stylist with a terrific eye for the latest and greatest is Rachel Zoe. Since it’s not likely that I will ever actually be styled by Rachel, The Zoe Report Box of Style is a fabulous alternative.                                                                        sample

Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe

Here’s how you know this box of fashion and beauty is incredible – every single box has sold out since Box of Style launched in March 2015. The Zoe Report Editor-in-Chief, Rachel Zoe, and her team of editors curate 5 full-sized products that are worth over $400. I am not kidding, this box is one ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ after another. Here’s the general info first, then I’ll give you the scoop on the current box.

You can get each individual box for $100, or subscribe for the year for $350.  The yearly price is worth the investment because you are guaranteed the box, and the spring box alone has over $400 worth of product in it. Each box has a ‘hero’ piece that is worth over $100. Women who will love this box are those who love fashion and style but just don’t have time to shop for the latest items. If you are into upscale style at a great price, or if you want to venture outside your typical comfort zone but don’t want to invest in a personal stylist, this is the perfect way to meet all those wants and spoil yourself without breaking the bank.

The Zoe Report Box of Style Spring 2017

The Zoe Report Box of Style Spring 2017

What is special about the Spring 2017 Edition?  Every single brand was founded by a woman! Total girl power. The products are valued at over $400 and they are absolutely obsession grade. There are two exclusive collaborations that you can only find in Box of Style, collaborations that have given jobs and skills to hundreds of women in India. The box is all about EMPOWERMENT – everything is made by women to empower other women to live a life of style! I love that this collection has everything needed to take you from work to the weekend. It’s a fantastic collection and I am just beyond thrilled with it. Ok, so now let’s get into the gorgeous details, shall we??

There are three fashion items – the Tribe Alive Custom Carryall ($238), the Adornemonde Iva Earrings ($62), and the Symbology Scarf ($50).

The Tribe Alive Custom Carryall is the ‘hero’ piece, a chic purse that is the perfect size – not so large that it overwhelms a small frame, but big enough for a last-minute shopping trip to Whole Foods. It’s super versatile too. I find that it is dressy enough for work, yet it also works as my bag for my yoga essentials. I love the juxtaposition of the colorful print with the tan strap and handles. This bag was made by women in India who could have otherwise ended up in the sex trade. Instead, the women are given skills and safe employment by Tribe Alive founder Carly Burson.

A great compliment to the Tribe Alive Custom Carryall is the Symbology Scarf. This is a gorgeous peacock-inspired print in gold and berry that can be worn around the neck, wrist, or tied to the strap of your purse. I love it paired with the Tribe Alive Custom Carryall.  The Symbology company was founded by Marissa Heyl after an inspirational trip to India.

The third fashion item is the adorable multi-tasking Adornmonde Ivo Convertible Earrings. Some boxes have the gold version, some have the silver version. Happily, mine had silver which is my preference. These earrings are a great twist on the classic hoop. You can also wear just the bar for a completely different look. Rachel suggests getting edgy and wearing the bar on one ear and the hoop on the other. Adornmonde is a chic jewelry line with LE pieces owned by Niki Allworth.

There are two beauty items in the Spring 2017 Box of Style:  Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder ($65) and Butter London Piece of Cake Nail Polish ($18).

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

I’m a big fan of the Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder.  Mixed with warm water or your cleanser, this is a wonderful exfoliant that removes dead skin and unclogs pores. It leaves skin soft and glowing. Since it’s a powder, you never have to worry about it expiring either. Victoria Tsai created this line which is inspired by the beauty rituals of Geisha’s.

How perfect is the Butter London Piece of Cake Nail Polish? Pretty pink perfect. This is a fantastic soft, neutral pink that makes for a classy and chic manicure. I could wear this shade every day for a year. I don’t think I ever knew that Butter London was founded by two fierce females, Sasha Muir and Nonie Creme.

An essential for beauty is lots and lots of clean water and The Zoe Report Box of Style has you covered with the last two items:  the BKR Glass and Silicone Water Bottle ($35) and the Stella Artois Chalice ($13).

I love the feminine look of the BKR Glass and Silicone Water Bottle and the silicone outer covering just feels awesome in your hands. The BKR line was created by Tal Winter and Kate Cutler as a response to cheap and definitely not chic plastic water bottles. Hydration is a necessity, so why not do it in style?

The final item, which is actually the ‘bonus’ item in the Spring 2017 Box of Style, is the Stella Artois Chalice. It’s a gorgeous chalice, and every LE chalice that is sold provides an incredible 5 years of clean water for one person in the developing world. Once you pour yourself a drink, be sure to leave your mark at BuyALadyaDrink.com.

I can’t rave enough about The Zoe Report Box of Style. It is a fantastic collection of obsession-worthy items and this collection in particular is amazing because it’s all about girl power. March 2017 Your Bijoux Box #YourBijouxBoxStyle

Your Bijoux BoxThere are some moments that are just exquisite. The feeling of brand new socks. That first hot, salty McDonald’s french fry. A perfect place to park suddenly becoming yours. Coming home after a trying day to find a subscription box on your porch. I recently had all four experiences in one day which culminated in finding my March 2017 Your Bijoux Box calmly awaiting outside my door!                  sample, affiliate links

March Collection Your Bijoux BoxThe March Collection from Your Bijoux Box is a coordinated set of three pieces that complement almost any outfit, dressed up or dressed down. Each monthly box has three jewelry items for women (although this month there were three jewelry items plus one extra item). The boxes are curated by stylists so although these are customized everyone gets the same jewelry each month. A monthly subscription is $36 and there are options for a three-month ($103) or six month ($206) subscription. They ship to the US and Canada.

The March Collection was a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, with an emphasis on spring green good-luck jewelry that makes you feel like a million bucks. This month they had a delay due to some supplier issues, but I really appreciated the communication and continued updates regarding shipping.  I still got my box in time for celebrating the holiday with my beautiful new items!Your Bijoux Box Tessellation CuffYour Bijoux Box Tessellation CuffYour Bijoux Box Tessellation Cuff

1.  Tessellation Cuff ($78) – this is a gorgeous art deco piece from the House of Harlow 1960. It’s a fascinating cuff – I keep looking at it and finding more details. If you have nice arms, this is a great way to draw attention to them. Depending on your arm, you can wear this on the upper arm or at the wrist. It is a bit adjustable. I have really skinny arms so I like this on my upper arm, but my daughter prefers it as a bracelet. It’s gorgeous, and well worth the price of the box alone.Sama Cuff

Some people received the Sama Cuff instead. It looks beautiful, but I think I like the Tessellation Cuff even more.

Your Bijoux Box Emerald Layered NecklaceYour Bijoux Box Emerald Layered NecklaceYour Bijoux Box Emerald Layered Necklace2.  Emerald Layered Necklace:  Continuing the art deco and green theme, this beautiful layered necklace is a great addition to my necklace collection. It lays nicely and doesn’t tangle up. I love pairing this with a plain white t-shirt and skinny jeans.  Your Bijoux Box Emerald EarringsYour Bijoux Box Emerald Earrings

3.  Emerald Earrings:  These match the Emerald Layered Necklace. They are surprisingly light and don’t pull on the earlobes. I am a huge art deco fan so this month’s collection of jewelry is just perfect. I love the vintage glamour.

Your Bijoux Box Life of Fashion Scarf

4.  Life of Fashion Scarf:  My daughter Marina is modeling the fashion items for this month. The Life of Fashion Scarf is an infinity scarf with a graduated cream and green print. I don’t have a lot of green in my wardrobe so this is definitely a welcome addition. The scarf is soft and so pretty…and it was perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. I wasn’t pinched once because I had my green!

The March Collection Your Bijoux Box was a fabulous celebration of spring and St. Patrick’s Day with pieces I can wear all year long. Have you signed up for Your Bijoux Box yet? It’s a great time to do it…just think of that exquisite moment when you find the box of sparkly surprises on your porch!  – Lisa

Glimmering baubles in Your Bijoux Box December Collection!

Your Bijoux Box The December CollectionSometimes everything just works out. A week ago, I found out at the very last moment that my husband and I were invited to a black tie affair. I rarely go to anything black tie, but I had a dress ready thanks to a recent Stitch Fix order – this Maggy Sophia White Floral London Fit and Flare Dress:maggie-london-sophia-white-floral-fit-and-flare-dress
I winterized it with a darling Alice Blue black jacket, also from StitchFix. I just needed the right jewelry.  Lo and behold, my December Collection of the Your Bijoux Box arrived!! Everything inside was exactly what I needed to perfectly accessorize my party dress.                          sample, affiliate links

Here’s what is in December’s box of bling:

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection David & Young Scarf

David & Young Scarf ($30) – I love love love this scarf. The geometric pattern is beautiful, the colors go with everything from a winter coat to a slinky dress and it is super soft and cozy. Awesome.

Deepa Gurnani Beaded Bracelet ($50) – This is a very cool, retro, sort of steam punk/art deco piece that has lots of sparkle and tons of personality. It is handmade by artisans and imagined by former couture beading designer Deepa Gurnani.

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette DropsYour Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette Drops

Juliette Drops ($26) – Wow these are stunning. These crystal drop earrings add fun and bling to a maxi dress and will be fantastic to pair with a silky sundress this summer. Total romance.

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette CollarYour Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette Collar

Juliette Collar ($38) – My exact words when I pulled this shimmering beauty out of the box: shut the front door!! Freaking fabulous. It was just perfect for my black tie event, but it also looks incredible with a simple white t-shirt (like the Citizens of Humanity Premium Vintage Esmay T-Shirt), skinny jeans (like the Rag + Bone Frayed Skinny Jeans), and black Acne Studio Pistol booties. citizens-of-humanity-vintage-esmay-t-shirtrag-and-bone-frayed-skinny-jeans

Quite honestly, I would have been thrilled if Juliette Collar had been the only piece in the box!

My first Your Bijoux Box – October jewelry fun!

Your Bijoux BoxIt’s been way too long since I’ve happily discovered a subscription box on my porch, and I forgot how much fun they are!  I recently received the Your Bijoux Box for review, and it is a pretty neat little box of sparkly stuff – this month the box had jewelry AND cosmetics.

One of the best parts of a subscription box is opening it up.  This box is on the smaller side, but I definitely did a little dance of joy when I saw all the pretty bags inside.

Your Bijoux BoxYour Bijoux Box

Your Bijoux Box

Your Bijoux Box

Each monthly box has three jewelry items for women.  The boxes are curated by stylists, although these are customized – everyone gets the same jewelry each month.  A monthly subscription is $36, and there are options for a three month ($103) or six month ($206) subscription.  They ship to the US and Canada.

The October Your Bijoux Box has three jewelry items PLUS an eyeshadow palette – extra fun!  But first, the jewelry:

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

Ombre Tortoise Pendant

The Ombre Tortoise Pendant is right on trend.  I am seeing these long necklaces with square pendants everywhere.  This one has color crystals in beautiful fall amber, gold, and orange.  This is exactly what you need to pull together an outfit with a crew or boat neck sweater.

Tortoise Layered Bracelet

Tortoise Layered Bracelet

The Tortoise Layered Bracelet goes perfectly with the other items.  It’s a combination of chunky gold and tortoise-shell, and I love the easy adjustable fit.

Ella Amber Earrings

Ella Amber Earrings

The Ella Amber Earrings are sooo pretty.  The amber is sparkly enough to stand out with my dark hair, but these babies are still casual enough for every day.

Spice Me Up Eye Palette by City Color

Spice Me Up Eye Palette by City Color

Since this is my first Your Bijoux Box, I didn’t realize that every month there is a bonus item in addition to the 3 jewelry items.  The bonus in the October box is a Spice Me Up Eye Palette by City Color ($9).  The fall colors are beautiful!  All of these shades are metallics so they all have some sparkle.  The pigmentation is ok, but with a primer or some mixing medium they last a long time and the colors really pop.  It’s a fun palette to play around with.

Overall, everything matches – even the eyeshadow palette – but it isn’t too ‘matchy matchy’, you know what I mean?

Good news:  Your Bijoux Box has coupons!  Sparkles10 gives 10% off any order, so your best value for this one would be the 3, 6, or 12 month subscription.  Or, use the coupon WELCOME for an extra piece of jewelry!  Only 1 coupon per order.  They also host a monthly style contest. #YourBijouxBoxStyle a photo wearing or displaying the jewelry to win an overflowing box of sparkles! Share it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or the Your Bijoux Box Blog.

And if you want a single box without the automatically renewing feature, they offer gift options. And don’t you think you deserve a little gift?  I do!!  – Lisa

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection is here!

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection

*July’s collection was sent for review, we include affiliate links for Wantable personalized accessories so we can build credits for future collections*

I love the days I find a Wantable package on my front porch. I never have any doubt that what’s inside will either be items soon to become a staple in my wardrobe, or else ones that go a little outside my comfort zone and challenge me to take a risk. This month, all my items are staples…nothing outrageous, but lots that fit right into my accessories wardrobe, rounding it out nicely and adding versatility.

Wantable July 2015 Accesorries Collection Ellen Scarf

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Ellen Scarf

The Ellen Scarf (retail value $28) is a beautiful light scarf with paisley grey print on an off-white background. I love it because it is so versatile. It works great paired with everything from denim to a summer dress. I brought it with me to the movies because the cinema is always so cold and it was a perfect weight to carry and also give me a little warmth.

Wantable July 2015 Accesories Collection Caroline Bracelet

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Caroline Bracelet

The Caroline Bracelet (retail value $19) is simple yet beautiful. This cuff bracelet is made of brass and has stunning chain link accents. Again, versatile is the word – I wear it with jeans shorts and a white t-shirt or with a summer maxi dress.

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Pamela Necklace

Wantable July 2015 Accessories Collection Pamela Necklace

I can never have enough long necklaces, so I was happy to find the Pamela Necklace (retail value $17). This is a silver necklace with gold bead accents and a double chain. The longer chain ends with a coin pendant.

Wantable July Accessories Collection Earring Trio

Wantable July Accessories Collection Nala Earring Set

The Nala Earring Set (retail value $19) was actually a mistake in my collection! I was supposed to get the Shanny Ring, but got this fabulous earring trio instead. I think I got lucky! I love the little golden feathers and the other two stud earrings are really pretty when worn together.

Lots of staples that add versatility to my wardrobe in this collection! I am once again a happy camper. With a retail value of $83 this month, Wantable continues to be a subscription service well worth the monthly price. Wantable November 2014 Accessories Subscription Box

Winter is the perfect time to go bold with accessories, and this month’s Wantable Accessories Subscription Box came with four great pieces to perk up my collection.

2014 Wantable November Accessories Subscription Box

The Wantable Accessories Subscription Box is $36 a month, and I typically receive 4 or 5 different selections in each package they send me every month.  I changed up my preferences a bit to go even bolder; here’s what I selected for this month:

Wantable 2014 November Accessories preferences

Not much I don’t like!  I actually think I will bring scarves back into the mix for next month to round out that collection.  This time, I added to my earring collection with a statement pair and a classic pair.  I also received a gorgeous watch and a beautiful bold, long necklace.

Wantable 2014 November Accessories Mariah Earrings 3

The Mariah Earrings ($17) are truly beautiful in person, I don’t think the pictures do them justice.  They are total glam with black and white stones, gold trim, and rhinestones.  Perfect with a simple black cashmere turtleneck sweater, jeans, and black leather boots.

Wantable 2014 November Accessories Cece Earrings

On the other end of the spectrum are the Cece Earrings ($18).  I am astonished at how substantial these pretty hoops are!  This is a fantastic addition to my classic earrings collection.  They complete and add polish to any outfit.

Wantable 2014 November Accessories Mabel Watch

I am beyond happy with the Mabel Watch ($28).  Isn’t it gorgeous??  The tan leather band perfectly complements the large classic face with gold and rhinestone accents.  And the pave rhinestone trim really makes this watch a stunner.  Love it.

Wantable 2014 November Accessories Sloane Necklace

My fourth item is the Sloane Necklace ($32).  This is a unique, geometric long necklace that is wonderful on its own or paired with a simple scarf.  The metallic fringe and gold shield pendant hang from a gunmetal chain, and these mixed metals are right on trend.

Total overall value of my Wantable November Accessories Box is $95.  Pretty terrific for a $36 box, and since I love every item it’s definitely worth it.  At this time of year, another great idea is get a single box for $40 and then gift each piece – if you can part with anything!  Each item comes in a pretty black velvet bag.  Just pop it into a gift bag and the holiday shopping is done without even leaving your house.  Brilliant! – Lisa
