Even with all the skincare reviews we write, we can’t help but have a few favorites and Algenist fits into the favorites category. We’ve shared a lot of Algenist skincare articles but this is the first time we’re going to share a color product from Algenist with you. Algenist Repairing Tint & Radiance Moisturizer SPF 30 is a fairly new launch from Algenist and we were thrilled to each be sent a tube in our foundation shade.
This is available in 4 shades: Light, Light/Medium, Medium and Tan ($42). Since Algenist is such a powerhouse of skincare you’ve got to know that any cosmetic product they produce is going to be loaded with their skincare. Algenist’s Repairing Tint & Radiance Moisturizer SPF 30 combines key microalgae ingredients to deliver great professional color and biotechnology skincare. Here are results from a test they’ve shared on their website:

We love our double duty products at Beauty Info Zone and Algenist Repairing Tint & Radiance Moisturizer SPF 30 is definitely double duty if not a lot more. It contains moisturizers from Algenist along with SPF30 to protect you from the sun’s damage.
When I first tested this tinted moisturizer I was worried about the shade. It appears darker on my hand than I normally wear but once I applied it on my face, the magic began and it blended in perfectly. I use skincare under it (currently Algenist Genius White products but I’ve used others too) so it will smooth on more easily on my face.
The best way for me to apply this is with my fingers just like I would any moisturizer. I tried using tools and that sheered it out too much plus I felt like I was losing the wonderful skincare and sunscreen benefits that way. This is a great tinted moisturizer all year round but with summer on its way I like it even more. It gives me enough coverage to diminish the redness and dim the sunspots while at the same time blurring my skin imperfections. I still use a concealer under my eyes but that’s all I need to face the world.
