Marcia and her Ugly Yellow Soap

As someone with mature yet neurotic skin the Yellow Soap is the best choice for me. The color is definitely ugly and nothing you want to show off in your vanity but that’s not the point of it. The point is to get the best skin possible and if it takes ugly then so be it. Some days my skin can feel dry as the desert, other days it feels like Rachel Ray sprayed me with EVOO. Therefore I want a cleanser that understands that my skin is sensitive while old.

Ugly yellow is loaded with Rhassoul Clay which is particularly good for sensitive or mature skin because it cleans and exfoliates gently while improving skin elasticity. Other ingredients like tea tree essential oil, colloidal oatmeal, and aloe vera powder clean, exfoliate and soothe your skin.

Ugly Yellow Soap isn’t one I use nightly but it is great when I’m feeling especially clogged or needy. It does have a fragrance but it isn’t as strong as it first appears.

Lisa and her Ugly Green Soap

My soap is Ugly Green, which is perfect for my normal to oily skin. I have an oily t-zone – my chin, nose, and forehead get quite oily and shiny and tend to break out, even though I am waaaay past my teenage years. My cheeks are more on the dry side and can even get flaky in dry weather.

The green of my Ugly Green soap is French green clay, which soaks up impurities and removes them from skin without drying it out. It leaves my skin cleansed keeps my pores from getting all clogged up, so I stay clear of breakouts. At the same time, my skin doesn’t get dried out, which would exaggerate fine lines. My goodness I sure don’t need that!! In the end, my Ugly Green soap leaves me feeling pretty, with very healthy, glowy skin.
