Ok, so it would be difficult for me to NOT love a palette called the Love Lisa Palette ($32.50). In fact, even if I hated it, I would still love it, as my name IS Lisa! But I do genuinely love this palette. I would love it even it were called the Love Lizards Palette. although that’s not fair either – I do one heck of a lizard face. Seriously, I make this face that looks exactly like a lizard. But I digress.
This palette was inspired by Jerrod Blandino’s (creator of Too Faced) sister, Lisa Blandino. He designed this palette for her because she is fighting skin cancer, and money from the sales of this beauty go to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
This is a super pretty beauty kit that has four eyeshadows, two lip glosses, a highlighter and a blush. It’s not easy to find this kit now, it’s not for sale on the Too Faced website. But you can still get it online at Image Beauty.
This is a girly-girl palette with golden pinks and soft browns. As a girl who absolutely refused to wear anything but dresses when I was little, I think it’s just perfect.
On the far left is a double-sided lip gloss, the middle is a blush/highlighter, and the right are four eyeshadows.
The lip glosses are moisturizing and a bit sticky. The raspberry shade gives a pretty, shiny tint to your lips, and the creamy side gives just a hint of gold.
Next to the dual glosses is the highlighter/blush.
The top part is pigmented enough to work as a soft, natural peach/pink blush. The bottom is a great highlighter that really brightens up the complexion. Initially both are slightly powdery, then the texture becomes quite creamy after they are applied.
Next to the blush/highlighter is a quad of pretty, feminine eyeshadows.
Top left is a shimmery pink, top right is creamy yellowish beige. Bottom left is a dark, shimmery copper brown, and next to that is a pink/beige champagne.
This isn’t going to get you a ‘smoky eye’, but it is going to give you a beautifully soft and subtle look that is just downright pretty. While the shades are on the demure side, there is plenty of pigment to still pack a punch.
I love the name of this palette, I love that proceeds go to a great cause, and I love the girly-girl packaging and shades. Go to Image Beauty and get yourself some love with a Love Lisa Palette! – Lisa
