MARCIA’S SIDE:  USDA Organic Bar Soap

I think I might be unusual in the world of beauty bloggers. Most say they don’t use bar soaps but I do and I have them in all my bathrooms. I use liquid soaps too but I don’t think I could be without bar soaps in my life. I have two of the Earth’s Enrichments UDSA Organic Bar Soaps – Lemon Fresh Shea and Naturally Nude ($7.99 each).

Lemon Fresh Shea contains Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Lemongrass. It’s a handcrafted soap as are the others from Earth’s Enrichment. The scent of this is pretty strong (in my opinion) but not unpleasant. I love anything lemon scented. The lemongrass brings the strength to the fragrance. Since this contains coconut oil it’s very moisturizing.

Naturally Nude is the one I keep in my bathroom. I like to keep a bar soap in my shower for places I don’t want to use a scented body wash. This is in my soap dish and it’s lasted so long. This unscented body bar is said to rejuvenate, hydrate and restore your skin. I’ve used it instead of body washes too because it not only is coconut oil based but it contains aloe vera so I find it moisturizing and not drying.

LISA’S SIDE:  ORGANIC BODY BALM

Earth's Enrichments Naturally Nude Handcrafted Body Balm

Sometimes it just feels better to go nude. I typically choose fancy, super scented body products, but there are times when I need the basics. Fragrance is a no-no for me when I have a headache, and it is also handy to have a mega-moisturizer that doesn’t compete with my body spray or perfume. Earth’s Enrichment’s Naturally Nude Handcrafted Body Balm ($11.99) is exactly what I need when it’s time for some body product nudity.

Earths Enrichments Body Balm

Naturally Nude with its top off...lol!

Naturally Nude with its top off…lol!

This is a basic, simple yet effective organic body balm. The ingredients include shea butter, sunflower oil, coconut oil, safflower oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E oil. It has beeswax as a thickener, so this is a solid balm that softens with body temperature. I place my fingers on the balm and wait a few seconds, then scoop some out and apply it anywhere that needs tons of moisture. I particularly like this for elbows and cuticles. If you have very sensitive skin or suffer from allergies, you will love this gentle organic body balm.

Earth’s Enrichments is a great line for organic, natural products that are good for the earth and good for your body.  Check them out online at earthsenrichments.com, and you can also find them in some health stores and Whole Foods Markets.

  1. I am with you Marcia, I use bar soap and can’t live without it! These look like something I can use in my bathrooms. Have to look if it is available in my health food store.
