Sally Hansen Color Therapy polish

Sally Hansen Color Therapy polish

Sally Hansen nail polish needs no introduction since we already know what a magnificent brand it is. They are the leaders in mass market nail care and a brand that I can always rely on having exceptional color and wear.

Sally Hansen doesn’t rest on its laurels though since they are always looking for ways to improve their brand. I think they’ve really nailed that with their new Color Therapy™ polishes. These polishes not only look beautiful, wear incredibly well, and are easy to apply but Color Therapy works to nourish your nails.

STICKS AND STONES absolutely surprised me. This is the first of the polishes I wore and it blew me away. It’s a dark purple with lovely small flecks of red shimmer in it. If I hadn’t seen the brand I’d have thought it was an indie polish since it’s so unique.

The shimmer likes to hide so you won’t see it all the time but when you do, it will bring a happy smile to your face.

Next surprise for me is THERAPEWTER. This is a metallic polish so it was completely different than Sticks and Stones. It’s a type of pewter (Sally Hansen calls it a deep metallic charcoal) but there’s a lot of green in it so I considered it more of a green than a pewter. Either way to describe it doesn’t take away from the uniqueness of this lovely.

In light that’s not as bright as my nail salon I can see more of the pewter so it’s like getting two colors in one. This wasn’t difficult to remove even though it has this metallic finish and lots of shimmer. It’s not a polish that you can get away with in one coat, two worked perfectly for me.

HAUTE  SPRINGS is my kind of red. I like a bold cool toned red that stands out and lets my nails get noticed.

My skin is cool and I have a lot of red in my hands, especially in the winter when I first wore this. This cream polish lasted perfectly for 7 days, no fading and no tip wear.

So what makes Sally Hansen Color Therapy™ something so unusual from the rest of the 467,598,022 nail polishes available? They are a long lasting polish that is meant to last for 10 days but they apply and remove like a regular polish. They have a patented formula that “blends a complex of natural argan, acai, and evening primrose oil to condition weak, dry nails. Argan oil contains high levels of unsaturated fatty acids, as well as vitamin E, an antioxidant vital for healthy skin and nails. Acai berry oil is rich in omega-3, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids that are valued for nutrition and conditioning in skin and hair care. Evening primrose oil features essential fatty acids that are known to help reinforce hair strength.” Each bottle cap says Argan Oil Formula so you know what you are getting when you go shopping.

  1. WHOA- Sticks and Stones is one of the most beautiful purple polishes EVER!! I definitely need to get that ASAP!

  2. I have tried this particular line from SH, but I must say the colors are exceptional! They look even more stunning on your nails than in the bottles or swatches. My nails broke after I spent a lot of hours outdoors shoveling after the last snowstorm, but when they grow back little more I need to get back into wearing polish.

  3. Sticks and Stones is gorgeous!

  4. I love this polish–Sicks and Stones is really special!

  5. I have Therapewter and Slicks and Stones in my untrieds! Great swatches!!!
