Improve your manicure with Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat and/or Big Shiny Top Coat

I’m manicure obsessed but I’m also manicure deficient. I can’t do my own nails for love or money. But I can change them during the week with these two products from Sally Hansen: Big Matte Top Coat and Big Shiny Top Coat. When these were sent to me to try I couldn’t wait to start having some fun. Even a leftie can put on a top coat without getting color all over their cuticles.

And fun I’m having. Often at the end of the week I’ll get a little bored with my manicure. 7 days is sometimes too much for some colors. But topping the color off with one of these babies gives new life to my mani.

A week of matte nails doesn’t appeal to me and to be honest my husband doesn’t like the look at all. But 2 days of it is a nice change of pace. Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat transforms my mani by giving it a totally new finish. It’s called a velvety matte. Sally Hansen’s wide brush makes it apply in such a short time.

Big Matte Top Coat contains a mattifying Silica agent that gives it the special look. At first you’ll think you made a mistake because it applies glossy but it quickly dries down to a matte and doesn’t smudge what’s already on your nails. It’s perfect for those of you (notice I didn’t say “me”) who do nail art to really give it an edge.

I totally loved this look. I couldn’t stop staring at it. Unfortunately it did scratch so 1.5 days was enough for me. But what a great way to change my manicure at the end of its week.

Now for opposite time. Big Shiny Top Coat is perfect any time during my week of color. It emphasizes the shine and makes my manicures look new again. This contains an Acrylic Polymer Complex and double UV filters so it’s everything you want to keep your manicure or pedicure looking fresh. It amazes me how smoothly this applies without any streaking. This too is great for nail art. Even better it will look good on bare nails to make them look manicured if you don’t want or don’t have time for color. This dries extremely fast so I’m not stuck waiting to be able to type again.

Best of all is the price. These are only $5.99 and will last you for months of manicures. Big Shiny Top Coat has replaced all my other top coats since I love how much longer my nails last and the Big Matte Top Coat is riding its coat tails to let me have some end of the week fun.

What do you use for a top coat? And when will you switch to Sally Hansen?  —  Marcia

Shiny is my jam but I’ll do matte, now and again. I need to try these top coats.

My top coat is Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish for shiny, she also has a fun wax top coat too! For Matte I love Heart Of the Matter from Heather’s Hues. I tend to purchase from indie small business vs main stream, but I do love SH for my cuticle care! <3

That’s really cool that they came out with these! I’m not a fan of matte on the nails either, but it might be fun to try this anyway.

I love Sally Hansen but haven’t tried either of these. They’re definitely a great way to change things up. Matte is especially great to change a glitter shade.

Love that you can transform your polish with these! I am a shine-aholic through and through, just can’t get into the matte look.

I’ve seen these around but have yet to try them. The matte looks really nice, maybe I’ll give that one a shot when I need to rebuy!

I need to try these. The Insta-Dri top coat used to be my staple but I would always have to franken it when it started bubbling.

I love the wide SH brushes. I like the look of matte nails, but my nails always chip easier with matte color or top coats.

I love a nice matte topcoat, but don’t like how you can see every dent or bump in your mannicure, lol

I haven’t tried these yet. I think it’s been a little while since I have used or purchased Sally Hansen. I’ll check these out.
