If you haven’t heard by now, Sinful Colors was cited by Consumer Reports for being one of the best polishes on the market. They compared Sinful Colors to Chanel and guess who was the winner? The $1.99 Sinful Colors or the $27 Chanel? Go Sinful Colors!! There are new collections available from Sinful Colors and Beauty Info Zone is lucky enough to have received some polishes for review.
The first three polishes above are from the Silk+Satin collection while the last three are from Full Throttle.
There are 6 Silk + Satin polishes all together in the beautiful collection:
Matte About Blue: A matte-nificent cornflower blue
Pipaya: A soft flash of coral
Prime Purple: A delicate dose of lilac
Real Teal: A quiet mermaid green
Silver Solution: A gentle, shimmering silver
Solar Flux: A subtle touch of yellow
I’ve got these three Silk+Satin polishes and I’m sure I picked out the best since I love these! The name Silk+Satin is really from a technique show on the Sinful Colors website. Their directions say to apply two coats of the polish to get the demi-matte and then use their Satin top coat just on your nail tips. They look stunning that way.
REAL TEAL is the one I went for first since I’m always drawn to a metallic shade like this. While Sinful Colors calls it a quiet mermaid green it performed as a cross between a teal and a green for me. Bright lights showed off the beautiful teal while other lights made the green shine through more. The metallic wasn’t a full on metallic because the finish of these is a demi-matte silk texture. It gives you the best of both worlds – a matte that’s not really dull and a silky texture that you can shine up with a top coat.
As you can see there’s subtle shimmer hidden in this metallic finish.
PRIME PURPLE is well described as a “delicate dose of lilac”. This is a cream finish that dries between a matte and a silk. I chose to wear it with a top coat because I love a glossy look.
SILVER SOLUTION is silver metallic but subtly so. It’s not a glaring silver so it’s easier to wear than a disco silver. It’s the perfect silver for your toes especially.
What’s amazing about Sinful Colors polishes is that they really are as good as touted. They look as great on me one week after application as they do that first day. The wear on these three has been phenomenal. It’s hard to believe I can walk into Walgreens or Rite Aid and for $2 walk out with an on trend nail polish and be thrilled with my week’s worth of wear.
If Sinful Colors isn’t on your personal radar because you thought the polish couldn’t last at that price, it’s time to change your mind right now. Silk+Satin are gorgeous polishes that feel so right. — Marcia
