Color Me Monthly has done it again – brought the perfect color nail polish for the season. This nail subscription box is not only a great deal but they seem to constantly have their nose to the grindstone, keep their eyes to the ground and create colors that are spot on. For April’s box they’ve produced a shade called Clear Skies Ahead that is a wonderful shade to help spring come out of hiding.
I was happily surprised to receive this box from CMM since every polish I’ve tried from them have been winners. The quality is superb, the colors are clear and beautiful, and they do all the right things. “Our nail polish is free of toluene, formaldehyde/formaldehyde resin, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). Color Me Monthly is dedicated to delivering what we believe is one of the ‘cleanest’ and most eco-friendly nail polishes on the market. We love animals, trees, and toxin-free nail polish.” Even the way they stamp their logo and the names on the bottles are free of toxins.
This month’s color is a true sky blue. I actually saw the sun today (the day I’m writing this) and the sky was bright and beautiful. I fit right in. Inside I find it tends to look a little darker and like it has a little more teal, but outside it’s the color that we want the sky to be. I just had to make that picture big to show you the deliciousness of it.
As you may know by now, I love my subscription boxes and I love my nail polishes. This box is especially nice because it’s only $7 per month. You receive one polish and it’s always gorgeous. Color Me Monthly lasts a full week on me. With Clear Skies Ahead the formula was a little thicker than usual so on the first coat there were a few streaks but the second coat filled those in and smoothed out the manicure.
With Mother’s Day coming up a subscription to Color Me Monthly would be an inexpensive idea. Your mom could get a surprise in the mail for as many months as you’d like. A 6 month subscription is $40 while a year is $75. It makes a good gift to yourself too, especially if you have the kind of family that usually forgets. (Note to hubby!!). You can see all the beautiful shades I’ve received from Color Me Monthly on the blog HERE. The polishes I missed unfortunately were February: Forbidden Crush – bright pink duochrome and March: Adorned – Shimmery bluish-purple. For May they have a metallic nude coming that will be office appropriate and for the summer months expect some more colorful vibrant shades.
I leave you with the Haiku that each month brings:
brighter days are near
courage is earned from struggle
break free from the clouds
BRIGHT SKIES AHEAD –Marcia
