I absolutely love neutral nails and I’ve found some excellent spring-worthy choices at the online nail polish mecca Beyond Polish. They sent three perfect shades for kicking out the polar vortex and welcoming in the fresh green days of spring.
The perfect trio includes Essie To Buy or Not to Buy, Not Just a Pretty Face, and Curtain Call ($5.95 each, an awesome price as these are typically $8.50 anywhere else).
Essie To Buy or Not to Buy is a gorgeous light lavender with tiny silvery blue shimmers.
This shade is from the Spring 2012 collection. I am wearing three coats and top coat in the pics above. The shimmers are more noticeable in the bottle than they are once applied. I think it’s a fantastic shade of purple that celebrates spring but in a more subtle way.
Essie Not Just a Pretty Face is a soft pink nude from the Summer 2009 collection.
Not Just a Pretty Face is a slightly translucent creme. I am wearing three coats and a top coat in the above pics. I really adore this shade. When you want nails that look sophisticated, pretty, and well-groomed, this is the one to reach for!
Curtain Call is a pearlized peachy pink from the Spring 2006 Collection.
I was shocked at how much I love this shade! Normally I associate shimmery peach with the ’90’s and my first attempt at decorating a house (I went shimmery peach and baby blue…I know, I know, just shoot me now.) But this has enough pink in it to keep it current and it is just so delicate and girly. I love it.
What is in stock at Beyond Polish can vary, so if your favorite shade isn’t there today, just wait until tomorrow and check again! Now that I have my neutral choices all set, my next quest is to find the perfect bright color options for spring. – Lisa
