Farnhouse Fresh’s new Peat Perfection Mask is different from the other Farmhouse Fresh masks I’ve tried. The others, Pudding Apeel and Guac Star, have looked and smelled good enough to eat. BUT who wants to eat Peat? Normally I’d pass this by except when it’s a mask from Farmhouse Fresh the answer is yes, I’ll try.

At first glance you might be thinking chocolate, then you’d smell and know that it’s not chocolate. While this doesn’t have the smell of what you know as peat, it does have a fresh outdoorsy aroma that is not offensive at all. It’s actually only noticeable if you purposely smell it to check out the fragrance as I’m wont to do.

Peat Perfection is a vegan mask that’s created with peat, the highly concentrated organic plant matter that’s harvested from ago-old enriched wetland vegetation. This natural resource contains a cocktail of calming, hydrating, and moisture locking ingredients. It features locally grown cold pressed organic cucumber extract (full of vitamin C), caffeic acid, silica, and other minerals which all provide anti-oxidants.

The purpose of Farmhouse Fresh Peat Perfection Mask is to help detox, calm, and soothe irritated skin while also hydrating it and locking in moisture. While I don’t have irritated skin I do have skin that wants extra hydration. I have large pores on my nose and cheeks and I find that a mask that dries down like Peat Perfection does wonders to cleanse my pores and keep them looking smaller.

The ingredients in this mask are what made me want to use it. Of course it’s paraben and sulfate free since it’s Farmhouse Fresh after all. It contains essential oils of orange peel, grapefruit, and lavender. Ingredients like bentonite and kaolin clays help remove impurities and at the same time balance oils, unclog and refine pores. In addition it contains anti0xidant rich safflower and soybean oils, pro-vitamin B5, and allantoin. All of these repair the skin’s barrier, attract and hold moisture, and help with irritation.

This is one of the easiest and least messy masks I’ve used. It takes just minutes to set up so even if you have just a few minutes this is perfect. I pull my hair back, smooth the peat perfection on with my fingers and wait for it to dry. It takes maybe 2 to 3 minutes to dry but I like to leave it on longer. I rinse off with warm water and my wash cloth and VOILA I’m done and ready to glow. For those of you who have irritation you’ll want to use this daily, it’s that gentle. The glass jar is 3 oz and you should be able to get 14-16 uses out of it.

Farmhouse Fresh can be found on their website, on Amazon, and at top destination spas like Red Door Spas, Ritz-Carlton, The Spa at Camelback Inn, and many more. The jar retails for $30 making it approximately $2 per use. Wouldn’t you spend $2 to make your skin feel refreshed and hydrated to start your day?  —  Marciapeat-perfection-enriched-peat-purification-mask-9
