As a lover of facial masks I was thrilled to be offered the WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask to try and I’m more thrilled to be using this. It is not like the other masks that I use, it’s much more of a skincare product than just a mask.

The 24 Karat Gold Mask’s name comes from the fact that it’s infused with 24 karat gold. The gold works as a powerful antioxidant to fight signs of aging. I’m part of that battle as are many of you. It contains a potent dose of Vitamin C to help lighten hyperpigmentation.

When I first opened this I smelled cinnamon cookies. It reminded me of the cookies I buy for my grandkids (ok, me too) at Trader Joes. The smell is extremely pleasant to me and one that doesn’t last long once it’s on your face. It’s stronger in the jar than on your skin.

WODA Celebrity 24 Karat Gold Mask is part mask and part moisturizer. Directions tell you to apply a rich layer on your face, neck, and decollate. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. It dries down but not all the way. It remains moist on your skin but not quite as moist as when you applied it. Do not wash it off though. Instead gently remove any excess with a dry cloth (I use a muslin cloth) and pat the remainder onto your skin. That’s it. You are moisturized!

When you wake up in the morning you’ll find your face is a little brighter, plumper, and beautifully moisturized. It adds that extra boost of hydration that your skin is begging for. It is recommended to use this once a week but it’s gentle enough to apply and leave on more often. The more you use WODA, the more luminous and bright your skin will become.

A little goes a long way and I expect this jar will last me at least 4 months if not longer. It’s delicious smelling and nutritious on my skin. That’s a little bit of paradise right in my own home. It should be in your home too.  —  Marcia

Comments

  1. It’s sounds like it was made for me. I could use a sleeping mask that has antioxidants, vitamin C and moisture all in one! I have a couple of primer serums with gold flakes and I love the brightness that they give me. The cinnamon cookies scent sounds divine. Plus I think eastern Europeans really know their skincare. Takes me back to my days going to the Georgette Klinger Salon on Madison Avenue with all the estheticians from Hungary and eastern Europe.

  2. This sounds really nice, from the scent to the ingredients. Thank you for the thorough review!

  3. Lynne B says:

Who knew that gold was an antioxidant?! Even without the gold, the ingredient list is more than impressive!

  4. It sounds wonderful, just the pickup I need!

  5. Nora Grahe says:

I have always wanted to try the Orogold one but this one looks great too!

  6. Sandy Cain says:

A sleeping mask with GOLD in it! What luxury! I’ve never tried a mask before, but one with gold sure looks like a fine place to start. And I love all the natural oils and plant extracts in this. Thanks for listing the ingredients, you really don’t know what a help that is to all of us, who are allergic to some ingredients & need to know before we buy what’s in the product.. <3

  7. It sounds like a nice product, but I’m not sure about the scent for me.

  8. You basically had me at the scent description! This sounds really nice and luxurious

  9. Gabrielle says:

I’ve used masks with gold before and really like them. This mask, though, stands out because it does double duty as a moisturizer. Sounds terrific!

  10. Gia Welch says:

I’m a mask fanatic, I’ve used a gold mask years ago, but I’m always up to trying something new.

  11. This sounds so nourishing, and great for dry skin. I love that you don’t actually wash it off.

  12. This sounds pretty great. I love the fact that it smells like cinnamon too.

  13. This mask looks very luxurious!
