Painted Earth Skincare is the name of an indie cosmetic company that has a lot more than skincare. Yes it’s a natural based skincare company that uses quality ingredients combined with cutting edge science but they also have amazing cosmetics as well as skincare. Their products are organic and natural. Beauty Info Zone has been fortunate enough to receive some products for review and we’re thrilled with everything we’ve been trying.
I’m most excited about the lip products that I’ve been using: Baby Hint of Mint. These are small but mighty. They are each 2.5 inches long so they are perfect to stick in any size bag or pocket. More important, they are perfect for your lips! These are available in 19 shades and I have 5 to introduce to you.
Baby Hint of Mint is a perfect name for these – they are small and they taste and smell like mint. They remind me of Junior Mints actually. The range of shades I have goes from light to dark and all have a few things in common:
These are NOT sticky. The colors are bright and shiny. They are enriched with anti-oxidants, Vitamin E and lip pampering emollients.
Baby Hint of Mint in Hush Pink – this is a very Marcia color. I love shades like this on their own and mixed with other colors. Hush Pink is an opalescent light pink that can be used over any of the other shades.
Hint of Mint in Mauve – this is the one that lives in my purse. It’s a great everyday shade for me since it wears well with just about anything I’ve got on my eyes/cheeks. It looks a little brown in the tube but applies as a midtone mauve with just a touch of brown.
Hint of Mint in Cherry – this is the one you all need to buy. Even if you are afraid of red (raising my hand) you can wear this. It’s a sheer red that is truly flattering. If I apply it and want to lighten it then a little Hush Pink is perfect over Cherry.
Hint of Mint in Black Raspberry – this looked scary dark for me but I love it. Since these are sheer it’s really just a hint of color. It’s dark but it’s not impossibly dark. It’s a beautiful red tone that’s deeper than Cherry and will look great on so many complexions.
Hint of Mint in Chocolate Truffle – this is the warmest of the 5 shades. It may look brown in my swatch but on my lips it just adds warmth and a little color. It looks so natural on that you’d never guess it’s called Chocolate Truffle once on my lips.
These beauties are only $6.50 and have the best texture ever. I love how moisturizing they are. Because of the sheerness of Baby Hint of Mint glosses I don’t think you can go wrong with any color choice. I’m excited about having these in my life and I think you would be too. — Marcia
