Three things that I love – discovering a new cosmetic product, finding that the cosmetic product is wonderful and sharing that discovery with you. This latest discovery is a mascara called LashControl ®. It’s such an interesting concept but even better is that the concept works!
What makes Lash Control different from the rest is the tube. You are in control of the amount of mascara that comes out of the tube. No more gloopy glops of goo oozing out of your brush. No more clumps of crud. No black tissues loaded with product that end up on your hands and vanity. If you like a lot of mascara on your brush you can get it; if you like a small amount on your brush you can get that too; and if you like to build layers well, guess what, Lash Control helps with that.
The secret to LASH CONTROL ® is the squeezy part in the middle. As you can see by my picture, mine is purple. Purple is the color used for Volumizing while hot pink is Lengthening. As you are pulling the wand out of the tube you decide how to control the amount that comes out. Squeezing means you are getting less mascara; you are controlling the amount of excess this way.
Since this is Beauty INFO Zone, here’s some info from the company:
LashControl Mascara was invented and designed by Jennifer Paulson Lee, a 20-year veteran of theatre, dance and choreography who hated having to clean up and fix her gloopy mascara before going on stage.
The Purple Wiper Sleeve is the original Volumizing and Condtioning formula with the Luscious Brush. This zig-zag brush grabs lashes from different angles with every stroke forming lash coating-fibers at different angles and lengths.
The Pink Wiper Sleeve is the Lengthening and Conditioning formula with a tapered full brush. This formula contains ginseng root extract, ginko biloba and chamomile extract to enhance lashes naturally.
The mascara has been working beautifully for me. The way I typically use it is to not squeeze the tube at all with my first coat. I’m layering my lashes that way and get the right amount of volume. I personally don’t like too much volume, I prefer definition and that’s where this mascara helps me out. I go back over my lashes again but this time I squeeze. I get off all the extra mascara formula and now can define my lashes the way I like. For a night out I have added more mascara with ease.
More to like about the mascara – it leaves my lashes soft and pliable. There’s no crunchiness which means it’s not going to flake on me. It’s long lasting too. If I take a nap (which I do often on the days I take care of my baby grandson who wears me out) I wake up without having to touch up. LashControl ® mascaras are $20 each and can be bought in several beauty boutiques as well as online. Check on Amazon to purchase it too.
There will be more to love about LashControl ® soon too because they are coming out with new formulas – red (fiber rich), blue (water resistant) and yellow (curl). I am looking forward to discovering those too and sharing the info about them with you. There’s a great video on their website showing the famous Scott Barnes applying the mascara and giving tips. If it’s good enough for Scott Barnes (I miss his makeup line) then it’s good enough for me! – Marcia
