Double hair goodness with Hubalou hair wrap and Duelette

If I were you I’d be questioning what in the world is a Hubalou and who is Duelette? The answer is that these are two products I’ve been using to help my hair look better.

I learned about Hubalou from Allison of Never Say Die Beauty. She reviewed the Hubalou Hair Wrap that she received from Gloss48. I thought about it overnight and didn’t stop thinking about it. Since I was ordering something else from Gloss48, it was a no-brainer that I’d add this onto my order.

Previously I was raving about my Aqua Towel for drying my hair. Mine is so old that it already has its driver’s license. It looks that old too. It’s very dingy and I wanted it replaced. Well Aqua Towel has changed the material and the last one I bought wasn’t nearly the same. Plus it attracted hair and wouldn’t let it go. I cringe when I see hair in things so that was a waste.

Hubalou on the other hand is made from soft, sustainable bamboo fibers. I love the feel of it and it doesn’t grab onto hair, it just helps dry it faster and without any damage.

I’m sure most of us have used a hair turban so using it isn’t going to be difficult. Because this is so large it’s easier to tie up in turban fashion. It starts absorbing water instantly. I wrap my head out of the shower, do my morning routine (teeth, RX, vitamins) and then I’m ready to  blow dry. My hair isn’t bone dry, it’s still quite damp, but it’s amazing how quickly my hair dries after using Hubalou since it’s gotten the water out.

This sells for $24.00 and comes in 3 shades (cream, peach and plum) at Gloss48. It’s just the thing you need to minimize your dry time. It’s perfect if you have dry or brittle hair because of the softness. This is a top buy of mine.

Now you get to learn about Duelette. If you have hair long enough to wear in a pony then you really want to learn about Duelette. A lot of companies make stretchy hair ties that you can wear on your wrist that look better than the coated rubber bands. But Duelette makes an actual bracelet that looks great on your wrist as well as in your hair.

There are different styles and colors to pick from. The bands come in either black or white, the beads are 14k gold and silver plated for shine and durability and can be worn alone or together to create different looks for different occasions.

The one I was sent is a combination of the gold and silver so it works perfectly with any jewelry and my watch. I open it wide, pull my hair back and then slide the bead to the spot it most comfortably holds my hair in a pony.

It’s stylish on my wrist as well as in my hair. For $15 you have your choice of 6 combinations so that you too can look great in just a short time even if you are coming from the gym. Duelette can be found at ChillyJilly.

  1. Marcia, thanks so much for the mention and the link! I’m so glad you like your Hubalou as much as I do. It’s completely replaced my microfiber towels & I don’t lose hair to the towel with this soft fabric. Yay! ??????????

  2. Hi Allison, I’ve noticed I’m not using hairs either now that you mention it. I don’t feel like my hair is super dry when I take it off yet it dries much faster with my blow dryer. Win win situation.
