Is Finishing Touch Flawless Hair Remover a yes or a no?

Finishing Touch Flawless Facial Hair Remover touts itself as being the magic cure to rid women of facial hair. But is it all that it advertises itself to be? That depends on what you are looking for and what results you expect to see.

Finishing Touch Flawless Facial Hair Remover

This $20 tool is actually one of those “seen on TV” products which I don’t always trust but I have a hair problem – either too much or too little – so I decided to see how this would fare with my facial hair.

What you receive in your box is the hair removal tool, directions, a AA battery, and a cleaning brush. What’s very cool about the hair removal tool is that it lights up so you can see what you’re doing a little easier.

The top of the Finishing Touch is similar to a men’s electric razor but much gentler. It’s round and when you turn it on it vibrates. To use work it in a circular motion around the parts of your face that you need to defuzz. A con for me is that I found this to be difficult to use in that circular motion, it didn’t swirl easily as it seemed to stick to my face. The most difficult area was my upper lip where it was almost impossible for me to use it in that way.

If you notice on the box it mainly talks about the finest hairs. That’s where the Finishing Touch shines – removing fine hairs, peach fuzz, on your face.

What it doesn’t remove well are what I call hormonal hairs, those hard ones that you suddenly feel or see on your skin and become completely self-conscious about. I found that it removes the peach fuzz beautifully and especially like it by my ears to remove the darker hair that grows there. What I didn’t find though is that it removed the thicker hair, whether white or dark, that are my biggest problem.

I have a hairy upper lip and chin area. The dermatologist recommended laser hair removal but I haven’t been successful with that nor could I tolerate electrolysis. So I pluck and shave those hairs. The problem with that is the regrowth which comes fast and furious. I can shave in the morning and see those little dark hairs on my chin by bedtime.

My face is very soft and and peach fuzz free after using this, I’ve been using it twice a week. But I still have to deal with my hormonal hair. It’s a pain and it bothers me to some extent which is why I bought Finishing Touch. I’ll continue on the same path using Finishing Touch Flawless Facial Hair Remover and continue with my tweezers and razor. It’s been a good buy, just not the cure to my dilemma.

I’m glad you posted about this. I was going to purchase one of these, but after your review, I’m thinking I will go back to the regular Finishing Touch one. The Flawless is not the one for me.

I think I will pass on this thanks to your review

I have been looking for something to rid me of those little chin hairs that come out after menopause. I pluck when I see one about every few weeks and I think I will stick to that. However my sister gets the peach fuzz so this may be a nice gift idea for her.

I am still terrified of all products like this. None are gentle enough for me to consider.

LOL sorry but you sound just like me! And those black hairs that just pop up in the middle of several white hairs in just hours

I had such high hopes for this product.

I have been wanting something for my peach fuzz. I tried thenTweezermam deplaner I think it’s called, and it hasn’t done a good job. This sounds like it would fit my need!

I think we are hairy twins! I struggle with this too. My sister waxes and another sister has tried to sell me on the laser. I use a little tool similar to this, but it’s those hormonal hairs (whiskers as I call them or my mom calls them “beards”) that are the pits. LOL Aging is fun right? 🙂 We are like fine wines.

Judy, the Tweezerman didn’t help me and it was difficult to use. This is easy peasy.

Have you considered a referral to endocrinologist? That’s what I do for my patients who have hormonal issues related to hirsutism. Laer will not completely resolve your dilemma because you need to get to the bottom of the cause. Once my patients habe established care with endocrinologist, that’s when I cam start laser for aesthetic reasons

Interesting! I wonder if it’ll have any other effects – good or bad – on your skin with longer-term use.

Nice, I have always wanted to try a hair removal product. I know my mom uses one and loves it, she has tried many different brands.

I wish there were be a permanent solution besides lasers but this is a good monthly alternative.

That’s such a bummer that it didn’t work on the more coarse hair. I have a hair upper lip and have to keep up with waxing or plucking them — it can be such a pain some days. 🙁

  23. Polished Hippy | 15th Sep 17

I think I will just stick to disposable razors, they are so easy and remove everything.

  24. Nina | 16th Sep 17

Wow!!! This look like a product made for me!!! While I don’t have tons of dark hair, I do have lots of peach fuzz and super fine sheer hairs. This would be perfect!!!

  25. Our Family World | 18th Sep 17

This is the first time I have heard of this product. I am sorry it did not totally work as you expected. Thanks for your honest review of the product.

  26. CosmetopiaDigest | 18th Sep 17

I can get how this would be difficult to get around some areas such as the upper lip. I first thought it looked like a fancy lighter!

  27. Elizabeth O | 18th Sep 17

It’s a pity that it doesn’t tackle the more stubborn areas that we all have challenges with. That said, it is an elegant design and does remove finer hairs. I hope they redesign it to address the concerns you expressed.

I bought this de weeks ago and i better stay with waxing?? this irme Does not pull your hair from root, so like happened to me you will see your hair coming back out in about 3 days amd will come more rough, and darker, you will also see your lip skin turning like green like you been shaving for ever, ! I do not recomen! Im looking for a good laser tool if some recommendations?
