Let your individual style shine through with Wella EIMI #beautybrands

Wella EIMIIt’s been forever since I’ve tried the Wella brand but I certainly remember it was a big favorite back in the day.  Recently Beauty Brands sent me several products to test from the new Wella EIMI hair care collection. The EIMI collection is all about helping you express your individuality through your hair, with styling products that range from smoothing serums to maximum hold hairsprays.

Wella Root Shoot
Wella Root Shoot Precise Root Mousse

The coolest product of the four I tested is the Wella EIMI Root Shoot Precise Root Mousse ($19).

Lifts roots
– Gives hair natural-looking body
– Offers low to medium hold
– Has precise spray applicator
– Easy to use

This is a volumizing mousse that truly gives hair lots of body and lift. The ‘precision applicator’ nozzle is small so you can point it directly at your roots when hair is damp. Then, just smooth it in, and blow dry – or even air dry – for a nice body boost. It even works on long hair without layers. Great stuff.

Wella Dry Me Dry Shampoo
Wella Dry Me Dry Shampoo

I love dry shampoo so I was very excited to test the Wella EIMI Dry Me Dry Shampoo ($19).

Refreshes hair
– Absorbs oil
– Adds volume
– Provides a matte texture
– Offers Hold Level 1
– Contains tapioca starch

What I like about this dry shampoo is it not only absorbs oil so I don’t have to shampoo as often, it doesn’t leave hair stiff with too much texture. Plus it’s a nice big bottle so it doesn’t run out quickly.

Wella Sugar Lift Sugar Spray
Wella Sugar Lift Sugar Spray

I have tried many, many salt sprays, but a sugar spray? Something totally new to me. Wella EIMI Sugar Lift Sugar Spray For Voluminous Texture ($19) is a light spray that –

Has high holding power
– Boosts body and volume for lifted locks
– Texturizes hair
– Leaves hair shiny
– Made with sugar that doesn’t weigh hair down

I think it works best on wavy or curly hair for more body and texture.  It doesn’t give that dry, sort of crunchy texture that salt sprays do. It’s more of a shiny, softer texture that doesn’t weigh down fine hair. It can be used on damp or dry hair, although for me I get the best results on damp hair that I then scrunch for soft, pretty waves.

Wella Perfect Me Lightweight BB Lotion
Wella Perfect Me Lightweight BB Lotion

Ok, so a BB lotion for hair? Wella EIMI Perfect Me Lightweight BB Lotion ($19) is a hair serum that –

Infuses dry hair with moisture
– Repairs damaged strands
– smooths strands
– Tames flyaways
– Boosts shine
– Protects hair from heat styling

Similar to a BB cream for skin, this BB lotion seems to do a little bit of everything. It moisturizes hair, smooths frizziness, and protects it from heat styling.  It doesn’t give any hold but it does pamper hair!

The Wella from back in the day has definitely changed and is now a real player in the hair styling arena. Head on over to Beauty Brands to take a look at the EIMI line, as well as tons of other makeup, skin care, and bath and body lines.  – Lisa

I believe that my colorist at Vidal Sassoon uses Wella dyes on my hair. In fact, I think the shampooers at the salon often use a shampoo on my hair after color that’s supposed to stop the color from rinsing out. I need to look at the Wella line. I’m very open to trying it.
