Bionova Nose to Mouth Wrinkle Treatment review and giveaway

Bionova is a brand that isn’t as well known as most you read about online. Dermstore and Barney’s carry the line and Dermstore has this to say about Bionova:

After 25 years of extensive human physiology and biochemistry research, Dr. Michael Danielov and the team of scientists at BIONOVA created the Hyper-Natural™ treatment approach to skin care. Working in harmony with the natural balance of your skin and body, this innovative line uses only ingredients naturally found within your body. No plants, botanicals, animal extracts, mineral or oils, just the same ingredients in the same ratio that your body naturally produces.

Nose-to-Mouth Wrinkle Treatment with UV Chromophores is one of their newest products. Bionova also has an Upper Lip Treatment, both $66. Most of their products target specific areas and as you’ll read they do the job they are meant to work on.

Lisa’s experience with the NOSE-TO-MOUTH WRINKLE TREATMENT:

Wow. This stuff is like nothing I have ever used before. First – the scent. It is truly bizarre. I can’t even begin to explain it….the closest I can come to describing it is a little like melon, but not really.  It’s a scent unlike anything I’ve ever smelled before. The scent doesn’t linger, but while applying it I look completely confused because I keep trying to figure out what in the world it smells like!

Ok, so that’s out the way. Bionova NOSE-TO-MOUTH WRINKLE TREATMENT is a jar of wrinkle cream that addresses skin elasticity in the naso-labial fold, increasing tone and firmness, improving texture, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The nose to mouth area is a delicate area that really does need special attention. Our mouth is constantly contracting, one of the reasons it’s often the first place on the face to develop wrinkles. It’s also an area that gets a lot of free radical action, particularly along the upper lip area. So it deserves extra attention.

The Bionova NOSE-TO-MOUTH WRINKLE CREAM has something called Nano-Complex, which is short chain polypeptides, bioflavonoids, essential vitamins, amino acid derivatives, nucleic acids, enzymes, lipoproteins and glycoprotein. That’s a ton of amazing ingredients in a small jar! All of those powerhouse ingredients improve skin elasticity, hydrate skin, protect skin from the sun, and minimize fine lines and wrinkles.

I use a tiny amount of this wrinkle cream on my naso-labial folds and lip area after cleansing and toning every morning and night and I am very happy with my results.  I’ve been using this for four weeks and have noticed firmer skin, less wrinkles, and improved elasticity. This will be a repurchase for me – and I will continue to be perplexed every morning and night trying to figure out what the heck this cream smells like!

Marcia’s experience using BIONOVA Nose-to-Mouth Wrinkle Treatment:

Bionova Nose-to-Mouth Wrinkle Treatment

Since Lisa mentioned fragrance first so will I. Her experience with the fragrance is a lot better than mine. I can’t figure out the aroma either but I think it’s awful. It’s something I’d walk away from in a store and try to figure out why in the world they’d sell something that smelled so bad. BUT and this is a big but, it dissipates instantly. I’m amazed by that. I have to hold my nose when applying but once on I smell nothing. That’s a lot for someone like me who is such a fragrance phobic person.

Bionova Nose-to-Mouth Wrinkle Treatment

My other difference with Lisa is that I have found this to be an amazing cream for my naso-labial area. The lines from my nose to lip are basically gone or so diminished that I cheer when I’m looking in the mirror. I have 2 friends who had injections in that area this fall and they don’t have the results I’ve had. The way I use this is to spend a minute or so massaging it onto the lines from nose to almost chin and above my lip. A little goes a long way.

The marionette lines under my lips are also diminished but not gone. Don’t ask me why but I just never thought to use it on my upper lip until the last two weeks. I was so busy watching the other lines improve that I wasn’t thinking “nose to lip” included my upper lip. Duh. Since I’ve been using it there I’m noticing improvement on all those fine lines and have faith that they’ll continue to look better with longer use.
Key Ingredients:

  • Titanium Dioxide – protects skin from free-radical damage
  • Biotin – supports and strengthens the health of skin
  • Vitamin E – prevents sun damage and fades fine lines and wrinkles

And yes, in spite of the malodorous fragrance, I will continue to use this treatment. It’s easily the most effective skincare item I’ve used this year.
