Pur Minerals Air Perfection CC Cushion Foundation

Pur Minerals Air Perfection CC Cushion Foundation

The newest innovation in the cosmetic world is cushion foundation and I’m pleased to share with you the one from PUR Minerals, Air Perfection CC Cushion Foundation. These foundations are taking the market by storm and Pur Minerals has shown me why. When I learned about the foundation and was offered one for review, I was excited to try it out. And now I’m excited to share it with you.

When you open up the shiny white lid you’ll see an applicator and a sealed foundation.

Once you open the seal you’ll find a cushion top that allows the foundation to be released when you press down with the applicator. I always use the soft pink side of the sponge applicator to apply Pur Minerals CC Cushion Foundation. It picks up the right amount once you squeeze down on the foundation and it blends in the color very smoothly.

Air Perfection CC Cream has SPF 50 which is one of the reasons I like this so much. Another reason is that this is a very light feeling foundation. I never notice that it’s on but I do notice how nicely my skin looks when wearing this. The foundation itself feels a little like a mousse. You can wear it sheerly or you can build it up to a medium coverage and still never feel like you have foundation on.

Air Perfection contains some great ingredients like skincare emollient: Babassu Oil. Native to Brazil, this palm-based ingredient nourishes a dewy soft complexion with intensely hydrating lauric and myristic acids and antioxidant vitamin E.

Packed with good-for-your-skin ingredients that:

  • Help soothe visible irritation for a clearer, more comfortable complexion
  • Provide texture-plumping hydration that softens the look of lines
  • Moisturize, smooth and protect with antioxidant benefits
  • Deliver a megadose of anti-aging amino acids and vitamins

I wish this came in more shades and hopefully that’s something that Pur Minerals will correct. Right now the four shades are Light, Medium, Tan, Dark. The Light is what I wear but I have to be careful to blend it really well along my chin and hairline. I’d love to see this in Fair and believe there’s plenty of room for some other shades in between the 4 available. That’s my only complaint about this though.

I love that it’s so portable and doesn’t leak. I think the ingredients are excellent. I love the hydrating performance of this and the SPF level. I’m always happy that Pur Minerals does not test on animals and is cruelty-free. cruelty-bunnies

This can be found at Dermstore.com for $30, Pur Minerals website, and Ulta. Dermstore is the site I found the best price.

Have you worn a cushion foundation? If so what do you think of them? — Marcia

  1. I’m not sure I really get the idea behind the cushion. I have tried LaNeige and a Korean brand, and they were both too sheer for me, boo hoo. But I did like the super-lightweight feel.

  2. I just got a Laneige sample in my Ipsy bag which is a cushion foundation but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m intrigued!!

  3. Hurrah, that’s what I was looking for, what a data!
existing here at this weblog, thanks admin of this web site.

  4. This sounds like a great product. I wonder if they have a shade that matches my skin tone.

  5. How interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this before.

  6. This is so different. Where have I been that I missed this? I love the idea of the super lightweight foundation especially for the summer and the packaging looks nice, too.

  7. I have the IT Cosmetics cushion foundation and absolutely adore it. This is worth taking a look at, as it is chem. sunscreen free, 😀

  8. SPF 50? Sign me up! Seriously, I love when companies include sunscreen, whether it’s makeup or skincare.

  9. I haven’t tried a cushion foundation yet, but the other commenters reminded me that I have a Laniege one around somewhere. I should try it and see if I like the concept. From how you described it, it doesn’t seem messy, which I thought it might be.

  10. I really like this too, much more than the other cushion foundations.

  11. This looks really nice. If I used foundation, I would try them because I have been hearing great things about this particular foundation.

  12. It’s been a while since I’ve purchased anything from this brand. I should check this foundation!

  13. I love cushion compacts but bummer about the insufficient shade choices. Four shades certainly won’t fit all.

  14. I’ve never tried a cushion compact and I’ve been wanting too. Hopefully they have a shade that would match me

  15. I love Pur Minerals! <3 NEED!
