Osmosis is a company that is new to me. It’s a skincare company whose full name is Osmosis +Pur Medical Skincare that was developed by Dr. Ben Johnson to help skin with inflammation. That often makes us look older because it’s not as healthy looking as it should be. I was sent a tube of Osmosis +Colour CC Cream to try and I’m totally enjoying it.
Osmosis CC Cream uses something called True Tone Technology which encapsulates the color so that when you apply it to your skin it bursts into the truest shade for your skin. When I first tested it I noticed that the Ivory shade I was sent was white on my hand.
I’m very fair but not this fair! I hadn’t been outside in almost 2 months so my skin was the lightest it’s been in years but I still felt that what I saw on my hand was going to make me look ghostly.
To my surprise it changed colors once I blended it and I could see the science at work.
In that photo it actually looks too dark for my skin but it’s not at all. On my face it becomes a very natural looking ivory that needs little blending to look natural. This is a sheer CC Cream, as they all should be, so I start with concealer under my eyes and on a few red spots I want to cover. That is enough to do the trick so that my face looks uniform yet enhanced. There’s a brightness to it that I find contemporary looking. According to Osmosis: ” Our exclusive Light Lifting Effects diffuse skin discoloration while giving the enhanced appearance of a brighter, more youthful complexion.”
The ingredients in Osmosis CC Cream are what makes this a champ as far as skincare goes. It contains:
TITANIUM DIOXIDE which gives it a natural UV protection that helps create the effect of brightening and lifting in your skin’s appearance.
ADENOSIN which helps to increase the production of dermal proteins like Elastin and Collagen. That increases blood flow to the outer layers of skin.
ZANTHOSYLUM PIPERITUM FRUIT EXTRACT which is actually Japanese Pepper Extract. This is a source of antioxidants to help prevent and repair damaged tissue.
USNEA BARBATA EXTRACT (LICHEN), a natural anti-bacterial agent that is both anti-microbial and anti-fungal. This is what helps with the anti-inflammatory benefits.
This comes in 4 shades – Ivory, Warm, Neutral and Mocha – and is $38 for 1.7 oz. I love the packaging since it’s clean and stable. The color isn’t going to do its osmosis magic until you apply it to your skin. There are discounts available too at Skincare by Alana.
The dictionary reminds us that one of the definitions of OSMOSIS is a subtle, gradual absorption of information. I feel like Osmosis +Colour is giving me a subtle, gradual absorption of color that is natural both to see on my skin and the lightweight feeling it delivers. I declare this a winner. — Marcia
