I’ve been using a sonic facial cleansing machine for about three years now. It actually JUST ran out of juice, and since it’s been three years of course I can’t find the charger cord!! So I was definitely happy when MelodySusie sent their Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush to try. The retail price for this is normally $79.99, but it’s on sale right now for $39.99. Compared to the $200 price tag of my original brush, this one is a steal.
This little gem looks a lot like my original sonic facial cleanser, although it’s not exact. The MelodySusie version is smaller and has a different shape – sort of wavy whereas my original one is oval. The MelodySusie comes in pink or blue, and it comes with a USB charging cord. You can bet I will be much more careful when I store this one!!
The best way to use this (or any sonic facial cleansing brush) is as the second step in double cleansing. First, remove makeup using a makeup remover – my all time favorite is Paula’s Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover ($15). I actually always have at least three of these on hand – one I am using and two backups.
(You can get $10 off your first order from Paula’s Choice by clicking HERE – this will also give me ‘Refer a Friend’ credit.)
After removing makeup, wet skin and apply face cleanser, then use the MelodySusie brush. It works in the cleanser and massages skin. The 3 button interface is exactly like my original sonic facial cleanser. It also has many other of the same features, such as the long-lasting charge and being 100% waterproof. I find the texture of the MelodySusie brush is slightly different from my original brush…just a little less flexible and soft. It has the same sonic technology and vibrates 6000 times per minute.
The deep cleansing that a sonic brush provides helps your cleanser work more efficiently. It also reduces pore size and helps your skin care absorb better, so it’s even more effective.
If you are in the market for a facial cleansing brush, I definitely recommend the MelodySusie Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush! The price is amazing and the results are very close to the more spendy version. – Lisa
