The hot colors this fall are wine and bronze with a metallic glow and Senna’s Midnight Wine Fall 2013 Collection is all over it!
Senna has divided their new collection into two looks, both of which they sent to the BIZ: Ravishing Ruby, with intoxicating berries, gilded bronzes on smoldering eyes and sumptuous intense ruby-red lips; and Neo Copper, with glimmering bronze and copper colors. Marcia will have her review of the Ravishing Ruby set up tomorrow and today I’m here to tell you all about the Neo Copper set.
The Neo Copper set is all about warm bronze shades and glimmering metallics.
Glow Eye Color in Coppertina ($18) is a medium copper shade with gold shimmer. This is beautiful as a lid shade or a crease shade. Sheered out it’s soft and pretty, layered it has intense color that really pops. I adore this shade and reach for it all the time.
Cream Lipstick in Beautiful Bronze ($20) is a creamy smooth lipstick with a golden bronze glow. If you aren’t into this season’s deep brown and wine shades, this is a great lighter alternative. It looks beautiful on its own and I like to put this just in the middle of my lips over a slightly darker lip liner. The lighter shade in the middle makes my thin lips look a little thicker. And I love the formula of the lipstick, which is wonderfully moisturizing with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.
This one shocked the heck out of me – Lip Lacquer in Leather ($20) which is labeled a rich cocoa brown but it turns into a sheer wine on me. I usually am not a fan of any brown-family shades on my lips, but I think this is fantastic. In fact, I chose it as my favorite fall lipstick for Phyrra’s recent video blog post – check it out here for my pick, as well as terrific picks from other bloggers:
The second Lip Lacquer in the Neo Copper collection is Blush Wine ($20), a glowing rose. This is so beautiful! It leans pink on me and it glows with just the right amount of golden shimmer. The texture of the Lip Lacquers is thick but not sticky. It definitely sticks around longer than most lip glosses on me and it has a hint of vanilla flavor. It’s a very moisturizing lip gloss with Shea Butter, Grape Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil and Mango Seed Butter.
I love this set for fall. I think all of the colors work beautifully together and are right on point in terms of style.
You can get the entire Midnight Wine Collection from Senna for $139.50. It includes all four products I reviewed today, plus the lipstick, lip gloss, eyeshadow and blush Marcia is reviewing tomorrow.
