Le Metier de Beaute LE Dark Orchid Kaleidoscope

Le Metier de Beaute LE Dark Orchid Kaleidoscope

From June 5th to the 15th Neiman Marcus is again having Camp Gorgeous. Most brands will be doing GWP but only Le Metier de Beaute will have an amazing LE Eye Kaleidoscope with all new colors. You can only receive this by purchasing $250 in LMdB products at a store or by calling a Le Metier makeup artist. My personal artists are Kim and Venus at the NM counter in Troy, Michigan at 248-643-3300 extension 2104. They provided this press sample so I could share this with our readers.

I’ve reviewed a lot of Le Metier de Beaute since I first discovered the line on a vacation. When it came to my Neiman Marcus store I was the first in line to buy products. I’m still there buying and am excited to hear that they will soon be coming out with new single eyeshadows.

Let me tell you about Dark Orchid Kaleidoscope. Le Metier developed their first ever eyeshadow primer and it’s on the bottom of this LE Kaleidoscope. It is a weightless creamy primer that will make all of your shadows last and last. It has a slight pearlized look to it. I’m particularly thrilled about this since I feel this was a big lack in the LMdB line.

Just above the primer is Mocha Sheen which LMdB compares to Corinthian (my favorite shade) but lighter and more vivid. It’s a taupe that is light reflecting. The color is absolutely gorgeous and will more than likely be my all time favorite Le Metier taupe eyeshadow.

Rich Orchid is compared to Fig/Alexandrite but is actually more magenta than either of those. I’ve learned not to be afraid of these brighter shades by Le Metier since their products are meant to be layered using their Couches de Couleur application technique. My swatch was done very heavily but the color doesn’t translate this dark once on eyes. And it’s perfect for layering with Mocha Sheen (and other LMdB shadows).

The very top layer has another new product, actually two since it’s a double pan of a black and a plum orchid eyeliner that can be used wet or dry.

My Le Metier de Beaute limited edition Dark Orchid Kaleidoscope arrived at 8 p.m. so I ran outside and did pictures ASAP and I realize now I swatched very heavily. These will be lighter and brighter in real life. The colors are fabulous and I can’t wait to get the opportunity to wear this.

I’m totally impressed with the quality and amazing colors in this. Now remember you can’t just buy this. You need to go to Neiman Marcus or call (Kim or Venus at 248-643-3300 extension 2104. Please tell them you saw this on Beauty Info Zone too) and purchase $250 in Le Metier de Beaute products. Then you too can be the owner of Camp Gorgeous’ most gorgeous product. — Marcia

  2. Wow $250 is a little steep but I bet it is worth it.

  3. wow at the price – but that packaging! O.o

  4. Oh wow that black looks super dark!

  5. This is really cool! I love how it looks and the pigments are so rich!

  6. I love how they put this all together!

  7. I’ve always wanted to try one of their eyeshadow stackers

  8. That is gorgeous! I want it… wish I didn’t have to buy $250 to get it, but it’s probably worth it. LMdB is such a fantastic brand.

  9. Love the high level of pigment on these.

  10. So, what are my chances of dumping my current hubbs and marrying rich? I mean, for the makeup? LOL

  11. I love this concept and the shades are gorgeous.

  12. beautyin says:

@Erika – find the rich guy before you dump the current one.
@Norah – I was able to wear this finally and the pigment was terrific. The eyeliners aren’t nearly as intense though, I overdid those in my fast swatches.
@Nidia – I was looking at the gwp offers and for $250 you mostly seem to get deluxe samples so this is an amazing value.

  13. beautyin says:

@Phyrra – you’d love this particular Kaleidoscope if it were CF.
@Citizens of Beauty – it’s so much prettier in person.
@Cosmetics Aficionado – I really swatched the black deeply. As a liner it’s not quite that intense.

  14. beautyin says:

@Samantha and Destany – LMdB is an expensive line, no getting around it, but this gwp makes it worthwhile. So much better than a deluxe sample.
@Eugenia – start saving up for $250 worth of LMdB. I could spend that easily (and have).

  15. I realllyyyyy need this! Can I order online to get the deal? I hate that I’m not near an NM =(

  16. Cool packaging and nice pigmentation!

  17. I have two LMdB Kaleidoscopes and a few shadow singles, and I’m in love with the quality! This looks like another stunner :)

  18. Betzy Carmona says:

Those look amazing I always see Anastasia putting reviews on them, and I’m so tempted to get a few

  19. You just made me drool w/ your swatches. Definitely checking this out!

  20. those shades are super pigmented!

  21. $250 is really steep but it makes sense. I mean, you are getting like 4 whole products but still, it’s an investment.

  22. Very cute, but not sure I could bring myself to spend that much on it! I can drool over it from afar though!

  23. That’s an awesome gift with purchase!

  24. I love the colors swatches! Beautiful colors.

  25. beautyin says:

Thanks Moxie. They are amazing on. I’m loving the eye primer too.

  26. This is so out of my price range, but I love it!
