What do I want to see in my stocking or under the tree? Eyeshadow! I will never have enough and I don’t think you will either. Korres sent two of their favorite gift sets my way knowing how much I love their eyeshadow. These are wonderful for you or for a gift.
Most woman are more secure using powder eyeshadow so I’m starting with the KORRES GREEK EYE-LAND HOPPING 6 shadow eyeshadow collection. This holiday packaged collection has 6 musts for your own collection. These powders are absolutely the smoothest. They are dermatologically tested, free of parabens, mineral oil, propylene glycol, and ethanolamine aka chemicals. But they do have Sunflower and Evening Primrose oils in their formula to moisturize and nourish the skin on your eyelids.
The 6 lovely shades are Ivory (light neutral), Pink, Bronze Brown (rich and sultry!), White (a sheer neutral), Metallic Grey, and Midnight Blue (rich blue). I’ve had no fallout with these shadows since they glide on beautifully.
I don’t wear a lot of blue eyeshadow but this Midnight Blue is an exception. It’s a striking shade that doesn’t take me back to my teens. Metallic Grey is a taupe grey so it fits right in my life.
I am totally crazy about Bronze Brown; most of the time you’d see that name and expect a dark shadow but it’s light and lights up my eyes. I love it with Ivory on my browbone and this on my lid. Even though the middle shade is named Pink it’s a very warm pink and not what you expect pink to look like. It looks more like a rose gold actually so I’ll just rename it in my head.
What I love even more than the 6 powder eyeshadows is the KORRES Greek Nights Volcanic Twist Eyeshadow Collection. This is a collection of 6 mineral eyeshadow crayons that can do no wrong in my book. These are so creamy and easy to apply and they are very long lasting. Once they set, they’ll never play havoc on your eyes. Use these as bases, a quick eyeshadow look, eyeliners, smokey eyes – whatever makes you happy. This $35.95 set means these are $6 each.
HSN describes them this way:
- #11 Ivory (light beige, neutral for lid or highlight under brow)
- #29 Golden Bronze (rich metallic bronze for added drama)
- #33 Grey Brown (hybrid of rich brown and smoky gray for smoky, dramatic eye)
- #46 Olive Green (deep, rich green)
- #68 Golden Pink (smoky, sexy light pink)
- #98 Metallic Black (rich, deep, vibrant jet black)
Ivory is a great base shade and looks good in the corner of your eye to add some brightness. Golden Pink is a beautiful rose gold that I’m crazy about. Olive Green is a very dark olive and not one that I realized was olive actually. To bring out the green use a light touch. None of these have a drop of shimmer to them though Golden Pink does have a metallic look.
There’s nothing quite like Golden Bronze to me. I love this both as a base and as a lid shade. It adds brightness under my eyes as a liner. It’s everything I love in an eyeshadow crayon. The shade called Grey Brown is a metallic that looks a lot like a charcoal. Beautiful for smokey eyes and softer than Metallic Black. What makes Metallic Black stand out is the twinkle of shimmer that it has. It also makes an interesting base for certain pastel shades.
Korres always meant bath and body to me but they’ve changed that to bring my all time favorite product. I think one or both of these sets could be all time favorites for you. Both are available at HSN.com and Korres.com. You’ll want to hurry to make sure these are yours. If you are a first time buyer on Korres site you can get a code for 15% off making it even better.
