Ardency Inn is a newer makeup brand and one that’s captured the hearts and eyes of the bloggers of Beauty Info Zone. When Urban Outfitters sent us some eyeshadows to test we just about plotzed. These are true beauties ladies and are covetable. Ardency Inn has its roots in the downtown New York music scene but it’s reached out to us in the hinterlands and grabbed us. It’s an extremely creative line that resonates with people in the arts and with us too.
The eyeshadows are called MODSTER MANUKA HONEY ENRICHED PIGMENTS but they aren’t loose pigments. What they are is a group of 10 highly pigmented eyeshadows ($21 each) that will knock your socks off.
“Innovative makeup from Ardency Inn’s Modster line featuring Manuka honey, a mono-floral honey produced in New Zealand and Australia. This all-natural ingredient makes Ardency Inn Modster Manuka Honey Pigment seriously super creamy with superior color pigmentation. This luxe, creamy color glides on effortlessly and stays put all day.”
I am 100% in love with the two eyeshadows I have from Ardency Inn. I wear them constantly and each time I do I want more. I have Heaven and Rose Gold and already ordered 3 more.
HEAVEN is well named because I find it heavenly in all ways. Heaven is a metallic champagne with both silver and bronze undertones. I wear this with different shades of brown and beige or with a khaki eyeshadow. It’s a metallic finish that absolutely shines. There is no glitter, no sparkle, it’s just this great metallic shade of gold. These eyeshadows have basically no fall out. I may get a little under my eyes when I’m applying them but it wipes away and stays away. I don’t have any color that’s wandered throughout the day. As much as I love this with a very dark brown (that’s why I ordered it in Hell), it’s amazing with a khaki or a green that’s on the warm side.
ROSE GOLD is exactly what the name describes. If you crave a rosy gold shade then this is one stop shopping. It’s a metallic rose that reflects a warm gold.
The combinations are endless with this shade. I like to use a matte cream shade on my browbone, wear Rose Gold on the lid, and anything from a charcoal to a dark brown to even a purple on the outer crease. It’s one of those shades that makes you want to be creative.
I’m in love and I bet Lisa is too!
I do, I do! I love these eyeshadows just as much as Marcia does. The pigmentation is out of this world and the colors stay true and bright all day even without an eyeshadow primer. My two shades, Royal and Sunday, are about as far apart on the color spectrum as you can get.
ROYAL is a deep purple that I would indeed describe as ‘royal’. It has red undertones and slight blue reflects. I love this as an eyeliner, both dry and wet. After I used this eyeshadow a bunch of times I noticed that on the website it warns not to use Royal near the eyes. I don’t know why, and it certainly hasn’t caused me any eye problems. I don’t see the warning on the Sephora website, so I am not sure what the story is…but I can say that I use it on my eyes with no issues, and it is a gorgeous, gorgeous color.
SUNDAY is a beige pearl with gold and pink undertones. On me, this is a soft gold with a metallic finish. It is just to die for as a lid shade and is perfect for those with deep set eyes. Sunday is a glorious shade indeed, one that is neutral yet glamorous at the same time.
I am beyond impressed with my Ardency Inn Modster Eyeshadows and am dying to try more. At the top of my wish list are Tangerine, Disco, and Hell – together they sound like quite a party!!
