Liquid lining the Le Metier de Beaute way

Love liquid eyeliner but hate the smudging? Then you might want to check out the new Indelible Inks Eyeliners ($28) by Le Metier de Beaute.  Le Metier says, “Drawing long-lasting, intense lines, this highly pigmented, no-budge liquid eyeliner features a waterproof, fast-drying formula that’s made to last.  Smudge no more – water, tears, torrential downpour, or anything else the day brings – Indelible Inks Eyeliner boasts serious staying power.”

Le Metier de Beaute sent the BIZ two different shades to try, so Lisa and Marcia put the gel-based liquid eyeliner to the test and here is what they found:

Lisa’s Side:

The shade Artemis is a beautiful shimmery deep blackened blue. It’s really stunning – the color is vibrant and cool, less harsh than black but it still defines beautifully and gives eyes a real ‘pop’.

The bottle and applicator are small so they are easy to control. The brush itself can supply a super thin line or a thicker one.

For the above eye look, I used Artemis to line my lower lid. I kept the upper lid simple with a thin line of black eyeliner, plus peach and brown eyeshadows.

I kept the rest of my look subtle and neutral so it didn’t compete with the more dramatic eyes. I love the Le Metier de Beaute Indelible Ink Eyeliners because they truly don’t smudge, which is almost always a problem for me under my eyes. The shade Artemis is vibrant and really shows up, and it’s a nice change of pace from the typical black.

I chose to review Castilia since I’m crazy about the color purple. Castilia is the newest color in the Indelible Ink line from Le Metier de Beaute. They teased us before with Artemis so I already knew that I was getting a winner with this liner. As you can see from my picture of the Artemis tip above it’s very thin and therefore easy for me to work with. The original Le Metier liner, Precision Liner, has a felt tip point while Indelible Ink liners have a thinner, more flexible point.

Castilia is a dark eggplant which has a slight sheen to it if you look close. It too is a great change from my typical black or brown eyeliner. The beauty of it, besides the gorgeous color, is how it wears. It not only goes on smoothly but it lasts beautifully. I have watery eyes and even on the days that’s most noticeable, this doesn’t budge. The only caveat I have with this liner is to make sure you don’t have too much on the brush. It’s best to wipe the brush off a little before using it.

I’d love to see what the liner looks like just on your top lid, Lisa, with nothing on the bottom but mascara. I think it might look even prettier on you!

  2. I love the dark blue one. I’ve never used anything but pencil/shadow on my lower lash line but love the way these look!

  3. beautyin says:

Krystle, I think I like the dark blue Artemis the best but the purple is great too.

Wow, they are both so pretty! That Artemis really makes your eyes pop, beautiful! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
