Beauty Info Zone has been publishing for just under 7 years but the first few years of this blog I was missing something major – eyebrow makeup. I never gave a thought to my eyebrows and any photos of me were with bare brows. My brows were full enough and I just never thought about doing anything other than tweezing.
Well that’s all changed now. After several illnesses my hair changed and that included my eyebrows and eyelashes. The eyebrows that I didn’t need to use makeup on now look bare without. You might be shaking your head right now and saying “no, that’s not me” “no, that won’t happen to me” but yes it can and yes it will. Life happens so that means you need to be prepared. Just look at your mom’s brows to see how they’ve changed over the years.
That’s where FULL BROW comes in. This Australian company sent me products to test and I’m officially thanking them right now. Oh and my brows thank them too.
The products I’m using from Full Brow are Brow Powder (in Dark), Brow Wax, and their Brow Brush. I also have a travel size of the Highlighter which I’ve used a few times.
This is my hero product from Full Brow. When I first opened the package and saw the shade that was named Dark I thought it was a misnomer. It looked gray to me not like a dark brow shade.
Better light proved that it was actually a dark enough shade for a brunette. My worry though is the front of my brows which have permanently lost hair. I’m slowly growing some back using Wink Lash and Brow Enhancing Oil but I’m eager to have real looking brows. Those fears are allayed with this powder. I’m really loving how naturally this fills in my eyebrows. Using the excellent Brow Brush I start by outlining the top of my brows, then I go back and fill in the hairs smoothing them out to look natural yet full.
On to the Brow Wax, a totally clear wax that isn’t heavy at all. I’ve tried other waxes that I could feel on my eyes but this one is lightweight enough to hold everything in place yet doesn’t feel sticky. Its purpose is to keep your brows in place so that you can forget about them. It contains antioxidants and oils so it’s nourishing your brows while doing its job.
I have to give an extra rave for their brow brush. It’s not the only one in my collection but it’s one of the best I’ve used. The bristle end is just stiff enough to apply and blend the powder and wax without being harsh. (I still have my original brow brush from Smashbox that actually hurts when I try to use it.) The spoolie end of the Full Brows brush is nicely shaped and helps me keep my brows shapely.
While I just have a mini size of the brow highlighter I’ve gotten to like it. It’s a very light golden shade that isn’t sparkly yet nicely illuminates the area just under the arch of my brow or just above it.
The Brow Powder is available in 4 shades (blonde, taupe, natural brown, and dark) at Free People and 7 shades at their Australian website. For those of us in the US or Canada, shipping is more reasonably priced through Free People.
Full Brow is making my look a whole lot better and I’m delighted to look in the mirror and not look incomplete. This is worth a try by all, especially us brow challenged women. — Marcia
