Makeup Wars picks favorite facial masks, I pick Eyedews

Makeup Wars is back and this time around we are all picking face masks. I actually bought a new one from Sephora just for this post but changed my mind once I started using Eyedews Eye Mask. I can’t believe how much I like this product.

The story behind my purchase of Eyedews is that I was seriously contemplating buying Le Metier de Beaute’s Ultra Hydration Eye Mask since it is amazing. It’s also a lot of money that I didn’t have at that moment but I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I was reading US Magazine and there was an article with Jenny McCarthy titled “What’s in my bag” and she mentioned Eyedews Under Eye Gel Pads. She mentioned that she puts them on during plane rides so that her eyes aren’t puffy when she lands. That sounded similar to the LMdB in that you can do just about anything once they are on. Off to their website and it was $20 for a set of 6 plus a few dollars shipping. You obviously know by now that I hit BUY. If nothing else I’d have a review on Beauty Info Zone, good or bad.

Well they happen to be good. They aren’t the same as the Le Metier ones but they are still darned good. The biggest difference is that Eyedews stay wet the entire time. They will slip a little so you if you aren’t laying down you will probably have to slide them up. They are loaded with great ingredients that I’d love to bore you with, but I know you want to read everyone else’s favorites. But if you go to their ingredient page, you’ll see what I mean. They are anti-aging, they help plump those circles under my eyes, they make me look relaxed and they diminish my crow’s feet. They are as heavenly as they sound.

They are the easiest eye mask I’ve ever used. You cut open a package, place them and relax for 15-20 minutes. Or don’t relax but wait until they are in place before you go do something. The Eyedews website has all sorts of tips for using these so the second time I used them, after my undereye area was finished, I then put them on my actual eye on the brow area. I did have to relax when I did that but it made my eyes look even more wide awake. This summer I’ll stick a package in the fridge so that they’ll help cool me down when I’m having ‘one of those days’.

Lots of masks can make you look good for a short time, it’s the long term that counts and I find I get at least 2 – 3 days of more refreshed looking eyes out of these. I’m impressed with these for all the reasons above. As they say on the Eyedews website “Eyedews are made for anyone with a face”. I never thought that my beauty guru would be Jenny McCarthy but she was right. (And I do have a face, I just don’t show it on Beauty Info Zone.) If you’ve ever tried Eyedews I’d love to hear what you think about them. — Marcia

  1. wow those did an amazing job! I too love the LMdB but can’t afford to keep it stocked… will definitely look into these!

  2. Awesome results! I love that. And not too bad for the price either. I’m adding these to my Sephora shopping list. I need these suckers usually mid week when my late hours catch up with my early alarm time!

  3. What a great idea – putting them on during a long flight. I’m going to have to try that.

  4. Hi @Pink Sith, they don’t have them at Sephora but shipping was very low. I’m going to keep these on hand from now on.

  5. @Brooke, I love the ones from Le Metier but that’s a splurge that I can only do once in a while. This is easier to have on hand.

  6. @Retrodiva, when Jenny McCarthy mentioned that is when I went to their website. I always feel bedraggled after a flight so these would be amazing.

  7. Thanks so much for the fabulous review of Eyedews! We feel really proud to offer a great product at a fair price! You perfectly described them, and if Sephora is smart they’ll call us now! lol

  8. I think this would make a great Mothers day gift!

  9. Wow, that really looks like it makes a difference. Great find!

  10. I LOVE my Eyedews!! I have very sensitive eyes, and so I cannot use eye cream (even though I sell Rodan + Fields Dermatologists products for Anti-aging). I highly recommend Eyedews to anyone with a face! 🙂

  11. I am so going to have to try these out. I haven’t tried LMdB’s but with the price I think these will be easier to become addicted to. Especially since they are more affordable.

  12. OMG! I must try these eye mask!!! I, too, love the LMdB ones but simply can’t afford them. These sound like a great alternative!!! My eye area is my trouble spot and the promise of a few days of results sounds just perfect! I must order some of these asap! 🙂

Hi Phyrra, I was so thrilled when they worked so well. I had Makeup Wars in the back of my mind but if they didn’t work so great I’d never have used them for this post.

  15. beautyin says:

Wow @Heather. What a great recommendation. I used to sell Rodan + Fields myself and their eye cream was one of my favorite products from them. I’m glad to find out that these work when you can’t use an eye cream. I know there’s no fear of milia with these. Thanks for reading and commenting.

  16. beautyin says:

@Krystle, I’m laughing about a great Mother’s Day gift thinking of my elderly mom putting them on but if my kids gave me these I’d be thrilled!!

  17. beautyin says:

Hi @Jana. The review is from my heart – or actually my eyes. These work and they are priced so right. Maybe you should send my review to Sephora headquarters!!

  18. beautyin says:

Hi @Brittany – $150 buys a lot of baby clothes and diapers. I love the Le Metier one I tried but I can afford these much easier.

  19. jbrobeck says:

These sounds WONDERFUL! I love that you can use them on your upper eyelids – mine get really puffy!

  20. I love these too.

  21. Oh I definitely need to try these. My under eye circles are out of control.

  22. These are very cool! I’ve never seen them before!

  23. If they reduce the bags under my eyes, I’m SO there! thanks for letting us know about these Marcia!

  24. beautyin says:

@Cindy, you’d love them!! Giveaway coming up soon.

  25. beautyin says:

@Eugenia, I’m so happy I took a chance on these.

  26. beautyin says:

@jbrobeck, that was a first for me!

  27. beautyin says:

@Carleen, I thought I was like Columbus and discovered them. LOL

  28. beautyin says:

@Jenny, you can’t beat the price. It comes with two separate boxes so you can share too.

  29. Thank you for doing a review on these. They look great, and I’m definitely going to have to check into them! x

  30. OMG
I loved the LMdB, but there’s no way I was paying that much money for the eye mask. I’m buying some of these!

  31. What a wonderful review about a product I would have never known about had I not been an avid subscriber to the BIZ! I love how Beauty Info Zone finds us amazing new products I would not have discovered on my own! Can’t wait to try them on these tired eyes!

  32. These kinds of eye masks look so cool. I’ve never tried them. Must try!

  33. @Carol, what would we do without our AVID readers. I know you’ll like these!!

  34. @Christine, I hope Eyedews knows what a find this is!

  35. @Moxie, the company is a small US company too. I’m so excited I bought these and could introduce people to them. Thanks for commenting.

  36. @Perilously Pale – I should sell these to all the bloggers!! LOL

  37. Excellent review, Marcia! Thank you for an affordable alternative to LMdB!!! I must have these!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. What i do not realize is in fact how you are
now not really a lot more well-appreciated than you might be right now.
You are so intelligent. You know therefore significantly relating
to this matter, made me in my view believe it from so many numerous angles.
Its like women and men don’t seem to be interested except it is one thing to do with Lady gaga! Your individual stuffs excellent. Always maintain it up!

@Lola, thanks for the compliment. I love the LMdB but I love this as much product wise and much more money wise.
