I was recently alerted to a new line from DERMAdoctor so I took myself to Ulta to check it out. The more I saw, the more I learned, the more I wanted! As an admitted skincare lover these DERMAdoctor Kakadu-C products look amazing. I know they smell amazing too – well actually they are fragrance free which makes them smell amazing to me!KakaduC_1

Kakadu is a tree that is native to Australia which grows the Kakadu Plum, a unique Vitamin C source. It contains about 55 times the amount of vitamin C as a Florida orange does. According to an article I read on StyleCraze the uses for this natural product has over 10 benefits to us. Being so rich in Vitamin C makes it an ideal anti-oxidant in skincare as it helps slow down the aging process.

In my research I came across an article on Health With Food that talks about Vitamin C and Kakadu Plum: “But why are vitamin C rich foods, such as Kakadu plums, so good for you? For one thing, vitamin C plays a crucial role in keeping your immune system, bones, teeth, and gums strong and healthy. It can also help keep your skin supple due to its ability to stimulate collagen production, and it may help prevent iron deficiency by improving the body’s capability to absorb iron from foods. Vitamin C may also have allergy-fighting properties due to its ability to prevent histamine release and to stimulate detoxification of existing histamine in the body.

DERMAdoctor harnessed the use of this amazing Vitamin C source from the Kakadu tree to bring their line of Kakadu-C products to market.

Among the products in this great line are a few I found noteworthy. The Kakaju C 20% Vitamin C Serum seems outstanding. This daily rejuvenating essential assists in brightening and evening skin tone while leaving skin feeling firmer, smoother, tighter and complexion looking more radiant. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of each serum will be donated to the Kimberley Training Institute of Western Australia to help build Aboriginal community enterprises based on the Kakadu Plum. As someone who loves a great serum this one has caught my eye.

DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Eye Souffle

DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Eye Souffle

The first product I opened at Ulta was the Kakadu C Eye Souffle. This was as light as air yet felt so decadently rich.

Judging by the amount of people that sampled this at the store it’s obviously quite popular too. This brightening eye cream hydrates, smoothes and firms delicate skin for a more ageless appearance.

DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Face Creme

DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Face Creme

This DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Face Creme has my nose’s approval. This has a rich and hydrating feel to it. It’s meant for dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin so I know this would be great for me. Additional ingredients are Kakadu plum, Desert Lime and Quandong Peach extracts and enhanced with tripeptide technology.kakadu-vertical-product-banner

Since we can’t take a trip to Australia to find this ingredient we can get it with DERMAdoctor’s Kakadu-C line. There are several kits too to try out the products so you can see what it will do for your skin. Happily we were offered a giveaway for one of our Beauty Info Zone US subscribers to win the DERMAdoctor Kakadu-C Eye Souffle. Allure magazine considers Kakadu Plum to be one of the newest must-have ingredients and you could be in on that.
