For as long as I can remember I’ve read about RoC skincare as being extremely highly regarded in the world of beauty. It is always mentioned in the “Best of” lists and winning awards. As RoC ambassadors Beauty Info Zone is lucky to get communication from the company as well as some products to test. Lisa recently reviewed the Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Eye Cream after falling in love with it. Just as I was getting ready to review Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Daily Moisturizer and Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Restoring Night Cream, I found out that RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Restoring Night Cream had won the prestigious Allure Beauty Breakthrough Award. Perfect timing!
Not long ago RoC added to their skincare line with these new 5 in 1 products. They’ve taken RoC to a new level in their fight against the signs of aging. The 5 in 1 products have a skincare technology called HEXINOL that RoC created to improve the look of discoloration, sagging, dryness, dull tone and wrinkles. Now obviously this line is not for those of you who are still in your twenties but soon after you might start noticing some of these problems.
It took 7 years of research for RoC scientists to make the breakthrough discovery of Hexinol technology to target those 5 signs of aging. Personally I’ve got almost all of those signs and I don’t like it. With these RoC products though I’m beginning to help get past them.
Roc Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Daily Moisturizer contains Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30. There are 4 active sunscreen ingredients in this: Avobenzone (2%), Homosalate (4%), Octisalate (4%) and Octocrylene (2%). This covers both your moisturizing for the day as well as the much needed SPF protection your skin needs. It’s a lightweight formula that blends into my skin quickly without leaving any white streaks behind. I have no problem applying makeup over it – it doesn’t ball up under foundation. There is a sweet fragrance to it which at first bothered me. But within 20 minutes I barely notice it and after a while I’m not aware of it at all.
For night use I’m testing the 5 in 1 Restoring Night Cream which is a very rich, lush feeling moisturizer. The two products don’t look all that different but when I apply the Restoring Night Cream I can feel that it’s much richer. Just what my skin needs to combat the dryness that I never thought would happen to me and my formerly oily skin. Here’s what RoC has found with the Daily Moisturizer and Night Cream: “In a clinical study, women saw noticeable improvements in the 5 main signs of aging in as little as 4 weeks:
- Discolorations appeared visibly improved
- Helped restore elasticity and firmness to sagging skin
- Hydrated thirsted, dry skin
- Improved overall radiance of skin
- Smoothed out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles”
I test a lot of products so I don’t know if this is what’s helping the discoloration on my skin but I believe it is. My skin hasn’t felt tight and it feels more nourished. I kept away from RoC for so long because I was afraid of the fragrance in the products. Silly me, I’ve learned to let that first wave of scent pass me in order to keep my skin as youthful looking as possible.
These two products are nicely priced at under $29 each but with a little investigative work you can always find a deal. Save up those Ulta coupons, join CVS’s Beauty Club, or slip it into your grocery cart at Walmart. These will last for months until you have to replenish them so they really are a bargain.
Have you been a RoC aficionado? What are the products that you like best from them? — Marcia
