May is an exciting month in the world of nail polish since Sinful Colors has three fabulous collections coming out that will make your nails stand out and your wallet stay fat.

Collection one is Color Rebellious ($1.99) which consists of 8 bright and beautiful colors. The Queen of Pop inspired these with ambitious super saturated shades to light up the dance floor. I can’t wait to see these especially the limited edition polishes and grab them up.

Limited Edition  Cherish Me – hardcore pewter polish with heavy metal glitter accents  Starlight – a star bright glittering gold metallic  Pop Queen – shimmering blue-grey metallic studded with bright blue heavy metal accents

The Classics  Cream Pink – bubblegum pink  Endless Blue – en vogue electric blue  Energetic Red – bright lipstick red with attitude  Feel the Vibe – vibrant orange shade Yolo Yellow – bright yellow hue

Sinful Colors Color Eccentric

Collection two is Color Eccentric ($2.99) which are bright and eccentric neon polishes reminiscent of the early days of David Bowie’s glam rock music.

Limited Edition

Diamond Blogs – neon fuchsia,  Interglamatic – vivid violet,  She’s From Mars – neon bright pink,  Eccentricity – neon orange,  Out in Space – neon yellow,  Jean Queen – vibrant neon teal

Top it Off!  Top Coat – shockingly shiny top coat to lock in crazy color

Illuminating Base  White On Time – a white shade to be applied under neons for the ultimate vivid effect

Collection 3 are the funky flamboyant Color Symbolic ($2.99) shades. These are reminders of Prince’s vibrant music.

Limited Edition  Cranberry Ca raze – fuchsia pearl with an unexpected violet flash,  Funky Fierce – violet metallic with a flamboyant gold flash,  Rule My World – decadent gold metallic,  So Symbolic – sparkling velvety purple

The Classics  Devious – deep blood red,  Pragmatic – feisty shade of lavender,  Prosecco – glittering neutral gold,  Tutu Thrill – pastel pink

Now that you know what to look out for let me share some of the NEON Color Eccentric Polishes that I was sent. As soon as this is available in stores I’m off to buy White On Time since I think the neon effect will be totally outrageous with the white base.

Sinful Colors Diamond Blogs

Sinful Colors Diamond Blogs

Diamond Blogs is a neon fuchsia that leans a little red. This limited edition shade is going to attract all the right kind of attention.

Sinful Color Eccentricity

Sinful Color Eccentricity

Eccentricity is a neon orange that you want on your tips or toes especially when it’s bathing suit weather. It’s not a pumpkin orange, it’s actually more of a pinky coral and is beautiful.

Sinful Color Out in Space

Sinful Color Out in Space

Out in Space is a neon yellow but with a more subtle look than you’d expect. It’s a sunny color that isn’t in your face – maybe because it’s out in space. It’s the color of the crayon you’d use to draw stars in the sky.

Sinful Colors Intergalactic

Sinful Colors Intergalactic

Purple lovers will celebrate Intergalactic. This is not your mother’s purple, it’s Prince purple with its brightness and vivaciousness.

Sinful Colors She's From Mars

Sinful Colors She’s From Mars

Last of the 5 I have is She’s From Mars and I loved wearing this shade. It is a bright neon pink but it’s also sort of soft at the same time.

Sinful Colors She's From Mars

Sinful Colors She’s From Mars

This isn’t what I expect when I see the name neon. It’s pink and mellow with the neon as an afterthought.

If you are a polish lover look to Sinful Colors for their new collections. These wear as long as the more expensive colors but the cost is minimal. Cheaper than a Unicorn Frapiccino, longer lasting, but just as fun.  —  Marciasinful colors neon bottles wheel standng5 free polishes (Tolulene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DPB and Camphor Free)

Looking for Gold Medal nails? SinfulColors presents Rio Shine

Inline image 1

The Olympics aren’t over although my chances of winning a medal are less than zero but I can still have award winning nails with this new collection from SinfulColors. Actually these polishes are part of a new line from them called SinfulShine. These $2.99 polishes and top coat are a bargain alternative to gel polish. There are two steps only – polish and cover with SinfulShine Top Coat. That’s it. No base coat, no machines to dry your nails, no difficult removal. These remove like any polish I’ve used.

SinfulShine Rio Shine polishes

SinfulShine Rio Shine polishes

I was sent 4 of the SinfulShine polishes from the exciting RIO SHINE collection and the top coat to try and I’m here to tell you that these need to be on your list too. The 6 polishes from Rio Shine are perfect for the city of Rio with its bright celebrations. They are just what you’d imagine the city to look like.

Pink Pintura – limited-edition powerful pink

Rise and Shinier – exotic limited-edition green

Samba-dy to Love – limited-edition deep purple

Bananappeal – tropical yellow

Most Sinful – vibrant blue

Picante – fiery red

SinfulShine Top Coat – over-the-top shine

SinfulColors created a new Gel Techä Formula so that you can create your own gel polish manicure. The shine you get from these is beautiful and long lasting. It’s hard to believe that you can spend just $2.99 and get this kind of formula when the nail salons charge a premium for doing gel manicures and then you have to pay for removal.

SinfulShine Samba-dy To Love

I choice to wear Samba-dy To Love since the deep purple just called to me. These polishes need two coats. Upon applying the first coat of polish I was sure that it would need three coats but the second coat filled it in so perfectly. It has a richness that you wouldn’t expect to see from a drugstore brand, especially a value 2 Step Polish.

Since gel nails aren’t going anywhere you need to catch up with the action and Rio Shine is the best place to do it. With 2 limited edition polishes in this collection don’t hesitate. Go USA!!  — Marcia

Sinful Colors shades for Valentine’s Day

I love going to Walmart and just browsing through the cosmetics section, especially this time of year. All those pinks and reds and whites make me want to buy one of everything! Luckily, the pretty new nail polish shades from Sinful Colors, Sinfulshine, are oh-so-affordable at just $3 a pop. They are ‘Gel Tech’ shades – their normal line is very long-lasting, but the gel tech colors last even longer with the special Top Coat ($3).  Here are some picks from colors they sent us to test that I think are just perfect for a V-Day mani or pedi.

Sinful Colors I'm Blushing

Sinful Colors I’m Blushing

I’m Blushing is an opaque very slightly pink. I like it because the light color really pops, so it’s a subtle yet attention-getting way to get my pink on without going candy pink. This was the only color that gave me problems with streaking – it goes on very thick, so be sure to wipe down the brush and do two very thin coats.

Sinful Colors Yours Truly

Sinful Colors Yours Truly

Your’s Truly is a pretty, feminine  pink. It’s girly, understated, and perfect for Valentine’s Day. It applies like a dream and wears like one too.

Sinful Colors Come Hither

Sinful Colors Come Hither

Come Hither is a bolder pink that I just love. This is more of a grown up pink and is stunning as a pedicure shade.

Sinful Colors Most Sinful

Sinful Colors Most Sinful

I don’t know why I am so into blues these days, but Most Sinful is such a great royal blue shade. If you are creative with nails it’s a terrific accent or artsy color to play with.

Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Topcoat

Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Topcoat

And don’t forget the Sinful Shine Top Coat, helpfully labeled as Step Two. It gives tons of shine and increases the wear time, which is already great.

Sinful Colors V-Day colors

I love Sinful Colors – this new formula of polishes last and last and I can’t get over how affordable they are. Next time you are in the drugstore be sure to pick some up. If you want some pretty shades for Valentine’s Day, take a look at I’m Blushing, Your’s Truly, Come Hither, and Most Sinful…even if it’s just for the awesomely suggestive names!  – Lisa

Perfect Christmas nail polish colors: SinfulColors Good Girl and Queen of Beauty

Sinful Colors Good Girl and Queen of Beauty

SinfulColors Gogo Girl and Queen of Beauty

If you are wondering what colors to wear for your perfect holiday manicure, wonder no more!  Sinful Colors, the fabulous and affordable drugstore nail polish line, has two shades that are merry and bright. These polishes may only cost $1.99, but they wear even better than some polish I have that go for $50. I get tons of compliments on my Sinful Colors polishes, and this duo is a fabulous holiday combo.

Sinful Colors Gogo Girl

Gogo Girl is the quintessential holiday red – a hot, fire engine scarlet. It’s a great basic shade to have in your collection and couldn’t be more holiday appropriate.

Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty

Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty

Queen of Beauty is a glitter topper – silver sparkles in a clear base. It looks UH-MAZING over Gogo Girl!  The combination makes me think of a sparkly ornament, or a red sleigh during a snow storm. Love it! Like Gogo Girl, this is a fantastic basic to have in your collection because it goes with any matte shade.

Top 10 Under $10

Top Ten Tuesday is always fun but today is especially so. I got to pick out 10 items that cost $10 or less to show you. With the winter holidays peeking around the corner you need to find some stocking stuffers or just something to perk up your own life. Here are some of my favorite cosmetic items. I’d love to learn what yours are too. — Marcia

LIPS

1.  PIXI BEAUTY SHEA BUTTER LIP BALMS ($8) come in 5 colors plus clear and they are totally awesome. They are a combination of a nurturing lip balm and a lipstick except they aren’t sticky at all. My blog partner Lisa raves about these constantly so I had to see what the fuss was about and now I agree with her. Pick from Ripe Raspberry, Coral Crush, Pixi Pink, Natural Rose, Honey Nectar or clear. I can’t wait to go back to Target to pick up Pixi Pink.

2.  COLOURPOP is the hot brand of 2015. Their products are all so reasonably priced ($5-$8). They are known for their Ultra Matte lipglosses but those don’t do it for me. I do like their Lippie Stix though and I have several including the sheer Juice Bar in the collage. While not my favorite I appreciate all the choices and that they have matching Lippie Pencils for most of the Lippie Stix ($5 for the Lippie Stix, $5 for the Lippie Pencils). Totally fun pick me up and if you use the code “thanksbabe” you’ll get $5 off your order.

.

BLUSH

3.  Speaking of ColourPop, they have 24 shades of blush in three different finishes (matte, satin, and pearlized). The texture of ColourPop blush and eyeshadows is not what you expect. They have a spongy feel to them and are a bit tricky the first time you apply them, but after you get the hang of them you’ll come back for more.

4.  MILANI ROSE POWDER BLUSHES aren’t in my collection but they need to be. There are nothing but raves for these. At $7.99 if you see them, grab them.

.

EYES

5.  HARD CANDY SASSY EYES SULTRY PALETTES ($8) are in sturdy metal palettes with shadows that belie their price. There are 3 variations of these and if they are anything like the Smokey Eye Palettes that I have from the spring, then they are top rate. I still use my Smokey Eye Palettes all the time.

6.  SLEEK I-QUAD EYESHADOW & EYELINER PALETTES  ($8.99) are on my wishlist. There are 3 different palettes with three eyeshadows and a gel eyeliner. I’d have chosen one of the I-Divine eyeshadow palettes if it were under $10 but those are just above the limit at $11.99. This is a brand that I’m loving the more I use it.

.

NAIL POLISH

7.  SINFUL COLORS ($1.99) amazes me. I’ve had the opportunity to review quite a few of their polishes and they last a full week on me. I know I mention them often but there’s a good reason for that.

8.  PIXI BEAUTY NAIL POLISH ($8) is another polish brand you’ll hear about from me over and over. I love how easy these are to find at Target, I love the colors, I love the wear. I just bought Olive Gold at Target after craving that shade for so long. With 40 shades you’ll easily find some you’ll crave too.

.

HIGHLIGHTER

9.  e.l.f. ILLUMINATING PALETTE ($6) will satisfy your craving for highlighting aka strobing. 4 shades, $6. Can’t be beat. I just wish I could find the newer e.l.f. in stores.

.

CLEANSING

10.  SIMPLE SKINCARE MICELLAR MAKEUP CLEANSING WIPES (approx $6) don’t totally fit this week’s theme for me but I just bought them and I’m impressed with a capital I. These wipes are different than the other brands I’ve tried. They are refreshing and remove cosmetics really well. They are gentle enough for my eyes which surprises me. Normally I use a separate eye makeup remover but so far I’ve even been able to get away without that. These may end up on my Top 10 list of the year.

Makeup Wars – 5 favorites under $10

Makeup Wars - 5 under 10

Makeup Wars – 5 under 10

For this week’s Makeup Wars the choices were infinite but the decision was made in a flash. These 5 (actually 7 since I’m like that) are the products that get constant use so you need to know about them. I’ll start with my eye favorites since that’s what I do when I apply makeup – go for the eyes.

MILANI EYESHADOW PRIMER is one of the best primers I’ve tried no matter the cost. I usually switch between this and Too Faced Shadow Insurance but the truth is that for $6 this could be my only choice and I’d be just as happy as with my $20 TFSI.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer

MILANI BELLA EYES GEL POWDER EYESHADOW in Bella Chiffon and Bella Espresso are my fall back shadows. I’ve purchased at least a dozen of the 31 shades. While I like them all, it’s these two that I couldn’t do without. Bella Espresso is a dark brown satin matte. If all mattes shadows wore like Bella Espresso I’d be a convert. It’s hard for me to believe it’s a matte since it has a sheen to it. I love that I can intensify it if I want it dark (which I usually do) and that this cool toned brown works with just about everything. Bella Chiffon is a shimmering off-white shade. There’s no glitter or sparkle but it’s bright and I love it on my browbone. At $4.49 you can buy them both for $10 but I bet you won’t stop at just 2.

REVIVA LABS EYE MAKEUP REMOVER GEL ($5) is a fabulous eye makeup remover. I was sent one to test and shortly after bought a second – I don’t want to run out of this ever. This incredibly gentle gel removes even the most stubborn gel liners and mascaras. It’s moisturizing, conditioning and non-oily. Fabulous stuff from a fabulous company. Another reason I love Reviva Labs.

HARD CANDY FAST & FABULOUS TRANSLUCENT FINISHING POWDER ($6) is the reason to drive to Walmart right now (well you can finish reading the review if you want). This is the only pressed powder I’m using these days. I use a soft kabuki brush to apply this matte powder and it helps keep my foundation set and looking good throughout the day. Its oil absorbing finish helps blur my many imperfections.

Two nail polish brands had to be included since they are fabulous easy to find products. The entire SINFULCOLORS line of nail polishes are $1.99. And they last, they really last! The colors are beautiful and the quality is equal to any high end brand you can think of. It’s rare that I can find a $2 treat that isn’t fattening but these fill the bill. Another brand that I love and can be found at Target is PIXI BEAUTY ($8). I’ve reviewed a lot of Pixi’s nail polishes and have loved them all. My newest one is Olive Gold and I found it on sale at Target for $3 – color me golden. I can’t wait to wear this fall shade and share it.

For this entire post – all 7 items – the total would be $36! I’ve spent that much on a single mascara. I’d much rather have these 7. Let’s see what the other Makeup Wars bloggers picked. I’ve got all that change that I can spend! What’s your favorite under $10 product? — Marcia

SinfulColors A Class Act: Part Deux

SinfulColors A Class Act polishes - all 27

SinfulColors A Class Act polishes – all 27

Yesterday Marcia gave you a great review of her five shades from the SinfulColors A Class Act Collection (read it HERE!), and today I have my five shades. I know Marcia thinks she came out as the head of the class with her choices, but I am pretty sure mine are even better.

SinfulColors A Class Act

My five shades include Energetic Red, Fig, Purple Diamond, Ice Sparkle, and Pink Break.

Sinful Colors A Class Act

Energetic Red is a bold cream red that is a great back to school color. This is actually re-promote, but it’s a shade worth having back again.

Sinful Colors A Class Act

Fig is a really gorgeous deep plum. It’s described as a ‘fruity dark purple fig red’. I’m not sure if you can tell in the pics, but this has a very slight shimmer that gives it some depth. I already know I will be sporting this shade while clutching some delicious hot chocolate during the winter holidays.

SinfulColors A Class Act

Purple Diamond is actually my favorite. While this light lavender with silver shimmer seems more like a spring color, it’s so darn pretty I know I will wear it year round. It looks best with three thin coats…so girly and pretty!

Sinful Colors A Class Act

Ice Dream is a clear topcoat with blue and silver shimmer.  For the photo I applied two coats so you can see what it looks like on its own.  One coat is all you need over a cream shade for lots of sparkle and fun.

Sinful Colors A Class Act

Pink Break, a Walgreen’s exclusive color. turned out to be a mystery for me. I had my nail tech put this demi-matte on me, and before I remembered to tell him not to put on a topcoat it was already done. With a topcoat it’s a pretty light pink cream. Then I redid my nails with the polish and no topcoat…and it never went matte. The photo above is with two coats of Pink Break and no topcoat! I’m not sure what happened, but it definitely didn’t even come close to having the same finish as the demi-matte Marcia tried, Blue Sensation.

Overall, I think Marcia and I both got some real winners. At only $1.99 these polishes are a perfect way to spruce up your tips and just in time for back to school! Be sure to check them out while you are at Walgreens or Walmart getting all those other school necessities. – Lisa
