IROHA Masks to pamper and delight

Once upon a time Beauty Info Zone got a mystery package of goodies for possible review. Inside were two intriguing masks that Marcia and Lisa fought over. While we didn’t come to blows since that would ruin our manicures we did have to do rock, scissors, paper to decide who’d get to review the most unusual one. Lisa won that game but Marcia wasn’t a loser since the mask she is reviewing is one she is thrilled about.

IROHA MASKS have a variety of products that all use natural ingredients. There are so many types of masks that they make including new creamy ones and exfoliating socks. It’s a new world to explore.

MARCIA’S MASK: Pearl Extract + Deep Ocean Water

INORA Pearl + Deep Ocean Water Mask

INORA Pearl + Deep Ocean Water Mask

The first thing I noticed about this mask is that it’s got hyaluronic acid which is an ingredient that I’m crazy about. Hyaluronic acid helps redensify the skin and holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Hydration is important as you age. The second thing I noticed is what the Pearl Extract mask was composed of. It’s a tissue mask that contains 23 mL of natural actives to help with intense anti-aging results.

INORA Pearl Mask ingredients

Iroha makes 5 different types of anti-aging tissue masks. ALOE, GREEN TEA + GINSENG for purifying; CAVIAR + ARBUTIN for brightening; OLIVE OIL + WITCH HAZEL for nourishing; Q-10 + COLLAGEN + SOY for wrinkles; and PEARL EXTRACT + DEEP OCEAN WATER for lifting.

Iroha tissue mask

This Pearl Extract + Deep Ocean Water mask helps soften skin. You just can’t imagine how fabulous it feels once you remove it. The masks goal is to restore firmness and reduce spot appearance. With just one use though I can’t say it did that. But it did make my face feel firmer and wonderfully hydrated.

Iroha Pearl + Deep Ocean Water Mask

Before I used the mask I cleansed and took the advice of the video on the IROHA site and exfoliated first with my Foreo Luna. The mask itself is very wet, loaded with serum. It is very cool feeling on my skin without any tingling. Just an incredibly refreshing feeling like I’ve been taken away to a spa and gotten waited on by gorgeous men. There are eye flaps so you could do your eyelids but I preferred to put those close up on my lower eyelid rather than covering my eye.

Iroha - you can lay down and pull up the eye flap

Iroha – you can lay down and pull up the eye flap

Directions say to keep it on for 15 minutes but it doesn’t really dry and get uncomfortable so I felt like I could leave it on for as long as I wanted. Maybe next time I will. When you are finished you want to keep the benefits of the natural ingredients and use this as your serum. The mask and serum stayed moist and hydrating the entire time it was on my face. After I put on my makeup I was amazed at how soft and line free I thought I looked. The best price I could find on the masks was at their website but I don’t know the shipping cost. This particular mask is also found at Amazon.

LISA’S MASK: Regenerating Intensive Hand and Nail Repairing and Nourishing Treatment gloves with Peach

Iroha Regenerating Hand Mask

Iroha Regenerating Hand Mask

Well, not only is my mask unusual – my very first mask for hands! – it also wins the longest name award by far.  The IROHA Regenerating Intensive Hand and Nail Repairing and Nourishing Treatment Gloves with Peach Aromatherapy ($9) repairs and nourishes hands, cuticles, and fingernails. Each packet contains two gloves, so that’s one hand treatment.

Iroha makes 2 different types of hand treatment masks. Rejuvenating Intensive Hand and Nail Lifting and Firming Treatment Gloves with Rose Aromatherapy for lifting and firming, and Regenerating Intensive Hand and Nail Repairing and Nourishing Treatment gloves with Peach Aromatherapy for repairing and nourishing.

The gloves are actually sealed together along the bottom seam, which helps keeps all the great ingredients inside the gloves and ready for your hands. The serum inside has wonderful ingredients that include Vitamin E, Arbutin Urea, Grapefruit Extract, Green Tea, Orange Fruit Extract , Lemon Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract, honeysuckle flower, and olive fruit extract.

Iroha hand treatment gloves

Iroha hand treatment gloves

Using this hand treatment is easy. Just wash and dry hands, then tear along the seam to separate gloves and create the opening for hands. Put the gloves on and take a load off!  The longer you sit, the more time the active ingredients have to soak in and treat hands. It’s extremely relaxing to kick back and take deep inhales of the fresh, juicy peach scented aromatherapy. After at least 20 minutes, remove the gloves and massage in any leftover serum. This treatment left my hands extremely soft and hydrated. It is a great way to treat yourself, especially if your hands are a little beat up from gardening or housework. This treasure is available at Ulta for a luxurious treat.

Iroha Masks have been a pleasure to discover. It’s a great way to pamper and delight.

A summer moisturizer challenge – we were up to the task!

Beauty Info Zone was asked to participate in a summer moisturizer challenge. We were offered two moisturizers and asked to test them to see which might be the best for summer. We agreed to do this but maybe slightly different than we were asked. Since Sundays are often our Side by Side reviews we decided to each review one of the moisturizers, write about them, and then leave it up to you as to which you might consider to be the best.

Marcia chose Citrus Clear Moisturizer because it is a more moisturizing product while at the same time it’s good for skin renewal. Lisa chose Shielo Moisturizer since she needs more oil control. Sit back and learn about these two companies and our unbiased opinions and decide for yourself.

CITRUS CLEAR SKIN REPAIR MOISTURIZER reviewed by Marcia

Citrus Clear Skin Repair Organic Moisturizer

Citrus Clear Skin Repair Organic Moisturizer

I had never heard of the Citrus Clear brand so I didn’t know what to expect at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are a chemical free company that uses organic citrus as their base. Citrus Clear uses a cold press extraction system to maintain the ingredients quality.

Citrus Clear

Citrus Clear

Citrus Clear’s products are actually for skin that is acne prone. I do get breakouts on my chin especially in the summer so this felt like a good fit.

I received the Skin Repair Moisturizer on an extremely hot day and it sat on my porch for a few hours. I don’t know for sure what the texture of the moisturizer should be but mine is a very loose consistency. It’s not watery but it’s definitely loose. I can smell the citrus in it but there’s another ingredient that changes the fragrance so that it’s a combination of floral and citrus. There’s a long list of ingredients that are a combination of science and organic nature. The fragrance is delightful even though it lingers for about 15-20 minutes.

Citrus Clear open - see the thinner texture

Citrus Clear open – see the thinner texture

My skin looked and felt great using this moisturizer but I felt it just wasn’t rich enough. I’m sure it’s the thin texture that caused this reaction. It’s good for the current weather of hot and muggy but I wouldn’t want to wear it once the winds began. I chose to use this at night only since there’s no sunscreen protection. It took a little while to dry down but once it did my skin felt smooth and never like I’d overloaded on moisturizer.

Citrus Clear

Citrus Clear

I can see how this would be a good moisturizer for acne prone skin since it isn’t overly rich. Since it contains a high concentration of organic aloe vera, vitamin c and essential fatty acids it helps with fine lines and wrinkles. It also has natural antibacterial properties in the moisturizer fight skin discoloration, while keeping skin moisturized. It is on sale for $22 (from $44) at the current time.

SHIELO COMPLEXION MOISTURIZER reviewed by Lisa

Shielo Complexion Moisturizer

Shielo Complexion Moisturizer

I had heard of the Shielo brand before but only knew it for their hair care. So the Complexion Moisturizer (regularly $30, currently on sale for $24) was certainly an intriguing choice, especially when I saw that it is cruelty free and vegan.

inside the jar

swatched

thick and creamy goodness

The major ingredients include aloe vera to help repair skin, safflower oil as both an antioxident and an emollient, and retinyl palmitate (otherwise known as Vitamin A) which is a fantastic antioxidant and treatment for wrinkles. This is a thick, creamy, snow white moisturizer. I don’t know why, but I am very partial to super white moisturizers – maybe because they look so clean and perfect. This one looks so good I almost want to grab a spoon and eat it.

I think it’s a wonderful moisturizer for summer. While it is thick, it sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel wet or heavy on the skin. It has an elegant formula that is also pH balanced so it is great for oily skin and won’t clog pores. My skin is left feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated. The Complexion Moisturizer is definitely in my summer skin care rotation!

Conclusion: Both are GREAT for the summer, but work in different ways. The Shielo Moisturizer is better at leveling the complexion and controlling oil, while the Citrus Clear Moisturizer is more moistening and for skin renewal. Reading these reviews, which is the one you think you’d pick for yourself?

Side by Side: Coolway Hair

Coolway

Coolway is a haircare company dedicated to helping you have smooth hair on a daily basis but without damaging your hair. They do this with some unique products including a new Low Heat Flat Iron Smoothing System that detects the moisture level in your hair and keeps the temperature at a level that will protect it. “By replacing high heat tools with innovative low heat technology, the °Coolway System has won six beauty awards, including the prestigious Allure Breakthrough Product of the Year Award.” (from Coolway)

We were sent some of their styling products and we’re having a ball with them. All have been mentioned on the blog before since we’ve been enjoying them ever since we received them. Today we want to go into a little more detail on products so you can see why we enjoy them.

Coolway Knotty Girl Brush

Coolway Knotty Girl Brush

We’ve both use and love the Knotty Girl brush ($9.95). This is a great brush for everyone in your family but it’s especially great for those of us that want to gently brush wet hair. It absolutely does not tug. It would be perfect to put in a beach bag to tame your tresses when you get out of the water. It does wonders on hair fresh from the shower since it doesn’t pull your hair out, it just loosens it as you brush.

We’ve got two other Coolway products so let’s learn about those.

Marcia and True Smooth Spray

Coolway True Smooth Spray

Coolway True Smooth Spray

The goal of True Smooth Spray ($34.95) is to help you end up with smooth hair that does not need a flat iron. We are hard enough on our hair with blowdryers and endless products. Coolway created this spray to protect and condition your hair so that you can eliminate a flat iron.

It’s so easy to use, you shake it and then spray it very liberally on your hair. Just using this spray and a blow dryer will work towards any texture hair straight. I’ve done that several times but my preferred way is to take a very small amount of a hair balm or serum and apply that on my hair, then shake and spray True Smooth Spray over it. It has a long lasting fragrance that isn’t overpowering. I can’t place my finger on it but I love it which is quite unusual for me. I have been able to blow dry my hair more quickly and be done because it’s totally styled using this. The spray is quite lightweight and doesn’t contain ingredients that weigh it down. My hair feels smooth without flyaways when I use it either alone in with another product.

This is meant to be used with a hair dryer because it contains True Smooth’s AminoLock MAB molecule (patent-pending molecule which holds your hairstyle safely from inside the cuticle as you blow dry) which is heat activated. You can also use it with a flat iron on dry hair as a heat protectant but it’s best to use with one that is under 300 degrees (most other brand flat irons start at 350 degrees).

Follow up with Glow Finishing Oil for something special.

Lisa and Glow Finishing Oil:

°Coolway’s Glow™ ($29.95), the companion product to the True Smooth Spray, is the second half of the dynamic duo. However, it also plays well by itself and with other products.

Coolway GlowFinishingOil

Coolway’s Glow™ is a finishing oil that doesn’t have any sulfates, synthetic parabens, or alcohol. While it’s great for all hair types, I think it is especially terrific for color-treated or damaged hair, and if you get treatments like Brazillian Blow Outs this is just perfect. It leaves hair shiny and vibrant.

Coolway Glow

Coolway Glow

The formula includes vitamin E and porphyra seaweed extract, both of which are great for putting moisture into hair. Surprisingly, it does not contain silicones, which I know will make a lot of people happy. The finishing oil leaves my hair looking smooth and healthy, with no frizz at all. It also detangles and softens. So far, this summer has been hot and humid, yet my hair is happy thanks to Coolway’s Glow. It is pricey, but you don’t need a lot of product so it lasts a long time.

Coolway’s website has a Frequently Asked Question section that helps you learn all you need to know about these great products. Be sure to visit.

Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight review

Who doesn’t love a multi-tasker?  Miracle Skin Transformer SPF20 Face Spotlight ($48) is a skin enhancer that does five different things: hydrate, prime, enhance, illuminate & protect. MST kindly sent this to each of us for review. With 5 ways to improve our skin, we were thrilled to try it out.

Miracle Skin Transformer FACE Spotlight

Miracle Skin Transformer FACE Spotlight

The mineral pigments and anti-aging ingredients work hard to:

  • Illuminate skin, while reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Minimize the appearance of pore size and uneven skin texture.
  • Hydrate to provide long lasting nourishment and anti-aging benefits.
  • Help protect against future sun damage with UVA/UVB SPF 20.

So how does it work for pale-faced Marcia and faux-tanned Lisa?

Marcia’s Side:

Miracle Skin Transformer products I use

Miracle Skin Transformer products I use

As you can see I have a stash of MST products that get used on a regular basis. The newest addition to this is Face Spotlight. MST also makes a similar product called Miracle Skin Transformer FACE. The difference is that the one we’re sharing today is tinted with illuminating particles that make you glow while the original FACE gives a matte look. Let’s learn about these 5 enhancements:

HydrateFace Spotlight nourishes skin with a bevy of ingredients like Saw Palmetto and Passion Fruit extracts. It contains Vitamins  and CoEnzyme Q10 to deliver hydration to your skin. But the most important ingredient that helps hydrate is Glycerin which also helps smooth your skin.

Prime - You can use Face Spotlight as a primer or a foundation to give your skin a light golden glow. I personally use this by either mixing a little into a foundation or just on my cheeks under foundation.

Enhance - Face Spotlight works to visibly reduce the look of pores, fine lines and skin texture. That’s enhancement!!

Illuminate - There is a light gold tint to Face Spotlight that has some teeny little sparkles in it.

Face Transformer swatch, can you see the sparkle?

Face Transformer swatch, can you see the sparkle?

Protect - with SPF 20 Broad Spectrum sunscreen, this protects your face from UVA/UVB rays. If you are counting on this as sunscreen please don’t forget to reapply after 2 hours.

Lisa’s Side:

Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight

Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight

I am more of a full coverage gal, so Face Spotlight is not something I use as a foundation. However, it is terrific under foundation. It evens out my skin tone and it has that pearlized glow that really perks up my look. I love it on my neck, decolletage, and arms too.  Freckles are far less noticeable and of course there is the benefit of the Broad Spectrum SPF20 Sunscreen.

Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight swatch

Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight swatch

The ‘universal shade’ swatches dark, but it sheers out and will work for skin tones except for very fair or dark. I use a self-tanner in the summer months and this compliments it beautifully with the mineralized pigments that reflect light and help hide fine lines and wrinkles.

We found this for sale at Dermstore.com.and Ulta.com (they just call it SPOTLIGHT).  Dermstore calls it a BB Cream but that’s not how we’d describe it at all. We think that the name FACE SPOTLIGHT is the perfect description. If you want a little enhancement that doesn’t take you over the top then this is the product to try. Are you a fan of Miracle Skin Transformer like we are??

MARCIA’S REVIEW:

My job today is to tell you about the MaskerAide masks we have so that you can learn what they are all about. My blog partner Lisa will then let you know everything necessary on the workings and results of one of these fab masks. There are 6 masks all together and we have 5 different ones for winners. The directions are the same for all of them but each one is different. They have different ingredients and purposes. It’s not one size fits all as you’ll soon see.

BEAUTY REST’ORE:

Maskeraide Beauty Restore

MaskerAide Beauty Restore

The goal of Beauty Rest’ore is to Restore, Regenerate and Repair.  It’s probably the most hydrating of the masks they created. It’s infused with argan oil, super fruit extracts, green algae and vitamin e to restore and regenerate your tired face. It contains lavender oil so it helps with relaxation. It’s the perfect one to apply during your nighttime regimen. (See Lisa’s review below)

I DON’T WANT TO GROW UP:

Maskeraide I Don't Wanna Grow Up

MaskerAide I Don’t Wanna Grow Up

This one won’t be part of the giveaway because when we saw it we felt it was sort of our motto. Shame on us but we both used ours. The purpose is to lift, firm and soften fine lines. If you want a youthful glow then this is the one you want to buy. It contains Ylang-Ylang Oil, Argan Oil, Vitamin E, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Elastin all of which help diminish fine lines.

PRE-PARTY PREP:

Maskeraide Party Prep

MaskerAide Pre-Party Prep

All of our winners will receive Pre-Party Prep which brightens, primes and energizes your skin. While some of the masks (like Beauty Rest’ore) are for night time use, Pre-Party Prep is to help perk you up and create a perfect canvas before you are ready to go out and face the world. It will make your foundation go on better than ever. Ingredients like a lightweight blend of natural Argan Oil, Orange Peel Oil, Super Fruit Extracts, Rice Extract and Honey will soften your face and be your primer for the night.

ALL NIGHTER:

Maskeraide All Nighter

MaskerAide All Nighter

An all-nighter can mean several things – the ‘walk of shame’ or the study crazed student or overworked woman. Whichever it is for you you’ll want this mask in the morning to awaken, replenish and refresh. It will help depuff your tired eyes and the peppermint oil it contains will help wake up your senses. Other ingredients include Aloe, Argan Oil, Heartleaf (a powerful detoxifier), Honey, Super Fruit and Cactus Extracts. You’ll be looking refreshed again after using All Nighter.

DETOX DIVA:

Maskeraide Detox Diva

MaskerAide Detox Diva

Detox Diva has the hardest job to do of all the masks. This is the one that you use to cleanse, exfoliate and detoxify. It’s absolutely loaded with amazing ingredients. For example to purify your pores you want the natural Geranium Oil, Seaweed and Green Tea Leaf Extracts in Detox Diva. For exfoliation it also contains Chinese Plum, Strawberry and Lemon Fruit Extracts and for hydration it has Argan Oil and Honey. I don’t think you can beat this one.

WEATHER WARRIOR:

MaskerAide Weather Warrior

MaskerAide Weather Warrior

Weather Warrior is the one you want when you’ve been out in the elements. For summer those UV rays are creating havoc with your skin and in winter add in the wind, cold, and harshness of the weather. You need something to get you back to being calm, soothed and healed. You need Weather Warrior with its Aloe, Green Tea, Witch Hazel and Argan Oil to soothe you!

LISA’S REVIEW:

I adore every one of these masks. Each one is hydrating, soothing, and relaxing. Maskeraide Masks are paper masks with holes for eyes, nose and lips.

See all that wonderful moisturizing goodess? I squeeze out every drop and smooth it on after I take off the mask. It is fantastic.

These masks have such cute packaging and names plus they couldn’t be easier to use. Just place the paper mask on a clean face and kick back for ten minutes. All of the masks have a great cooling effect which really increases that ‘pampering effect’. Definitely show your skin some love and enter the giveaway!

The giveaway is amazing! There will be two winners, each receiving a Define and two Quench. Each winner gets a prize with a retail value of $100. Pretty fantastic! If you aren’t familiar with these two fabulous YBF lip products, here are the reviews so you can learn all about them.

Lisa’s Side:

YBF Define

YBF Define

Define ($70) is a moisturizer specifically for the lip area. It treats wrinkles and helps lips appear more full. This isn’t  your typical stinging, irritating lip plumper. It’s an elegantly formulated moisturizer full of antioxidants and brighteners. I loved the old version and now YBF has released a new and improved version.

YBF Define 2

airless pump

airless pump

The new Define is an even better version of their already fantastic lip cream. It still comes in the same total perfection packaging – that airless pump couldn’t be improved in any way! Here’s what is new…and what is still there from the earlier version:

(new to the formula)
Matrixyl Synthe-6
Syn-Hycan
TegoPep 4-Even
(continuing to use in the formula)
Syn-Tacks
Hilurip

We’ve also added these botanicals to Define:
Quercetin
Licorice Leaf Extract
Rosehip Seed Oil

And we added these antioxidants and vitamins:
B6 (coenzyme B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate)
CoQ10

this feels SO GOOD on the lips!

If you have thinning lips, wrinkles, or loss of definition around the lip area, you need Define. I am amazed at the terrific results I get with this, particularly in terms of lessening those horrid vertical wrinkles. I definitely notice a difference in how my lipstick wears – lipstick bleed is much, much less of an issue for me. The formula is just full of excellent botanicals and peptides that moisturize lips and increase collagen, making for fuller, younger looking lips.

I massage a little of this in every single morning, and at night I put on extra as a ‘lip mask’. I find myself putting some on during the day too, just because the soft and silky lip cream feels so darn good. Define is really and truly great stuff and I can’t recommend it highly enough – it is perfection for prevention or for treatment of the lip area!

Marcia’s Side:
YBF Quench and Define

YBF Quench and Define

I totally agree with everything Lisa wrote about YBF Define. Not only does it come from a company we love and respect but it does what it says. Sadly for both of us, our lips are getting thinner as we age. Using Define helps us stop time in its track.

Quench Lip Treatment ($15) is the perfect sidekick to Define. I’ve used Quench for years but now there’s a newer version. Just like Define was updated, so was Quench Lip Treatment. This is a softer version so that it’s easier to apply.

YBF didn’t just stop at making this more comfortable for lips, they added in more antioxidants for protection.

YBF Quench

There are 3 things that Quench Lip Treatment does: Heal, Refresh and Protect.
HEAL: this contains Vitamin E, meadowfoam and blueberry seed oils to make your lips more supple. Softer lips, softer kisses.
REFRESH: YBF uses the gentlest form of vitamin C they could find in order to make your lips a little brighter and to boost the collagen level. They also use some peppermint and clementine oils to wake up your lips and give them a slight tingle when you first apply it. No stinging allowed though, it’s just to refresh not to jolt you out of your seat.
PROTECT: pharmaceutical-grade beeswax is used in Quench to seal in moisture. You want your lips protected from environmental factors so all these ingredients and antioxidants help do that job.

You are going to love having two Quench Lip Treatments if you are one of our winners – one for home, one for your purse. You’ll be reaching for this often. There’s a reason the company’s name stands for Your Best Face – products that work and keep you looking and feeling your best.

Clayspray Masks – the most hygenic mask you’ll ever try

Clayspray photo

Here at the BIZ, we love a good clay mask…but we don’t love how quickly they can dry up and become unusable. We were fascinated when we heard about the Clayspray line which has facial clay masks…but in a sealed, airless pump so the mask is always fresh.

One of the founders of Clayspray is an archeologist, and along with her partner, she dreamed of “emulsifying pure clay and presenting it in a spray to preserve its purity in a user-friendly format.” They found the best pure clay with “exceptional cosmetic and therapeutic properties” and developed an amazing way to package it. Here are some of the highlights of these fantastic clay masks:

PURE CLAY:  Clayspray is a pure clay. The purest clay in the world, through our patented technology.

NATURAL CLAY:  Our products are natural, free of preservatives, free of parabens, free of perfumes, not tested in animals.

MAIN INGREDIENT IN OUR PRODUCTS IS CLAY:  Clayspray products are formulated with 60 – 65% clay, (this is why it is heavy).  This provides for a much higher concentration of beneficial minerals which offers an enhanced degree of efficacy.  Traditional clays are formulated with 15 to 20% clay maximum.  When reading the ingredients, it is important to note that the first ingredient listed is the most important and signifies it’s concentration level.  All ingredients thereafter are at a lower concentration level and therefore less important to the formula.

COSMETICITY:  Our clays are emulsified much like a cream. This is unique to Clayspray pure clays in an emulsified form..

MATURATION PROCESS:  It is scientifically known that clay mixed with water needs to mature a minimum of 15 days for all of the properties and benefits to coagulate.  After this 15 day period clay does not change. Clayspray’s are developed with this optimum stage of maturation process.

HOMOGENEITY:  Clayspray is always fresh with the properties of the clay maintaining their high quality. Common clays that come in tubs, jars, powders etc, immediately come in contact with air once opened.  The product starts to oxidize and deteriorate. The water and clay separate. The clay can become dry and contaminated and usually thrown out.

HYGIENIC:  Clayspray is very hygienic. The product is only touched once by the therapist at the time of use which eliminates the possibility of contamination.

CLAYSPRAY IS ALWAYS FRESH AND READY TO USE!

Clayspray Masks

Let’s see what Lisa and Marcia think of the different clay masks they tested.

Lisa’s Side:

I was sent the Mattifying Red Clay Mask to test. If you have oily, blemish-prone skin, this is the mask for you! The packaging is truly genius. It keeps the mask soft and pure and it’s easy to get the right amount of product without a lot of waste.

great packaging!

This red clay mask does a great job of deep cleaning without irritation. It doesn’t sting or feel uncomfortable at all. I start with a clean wet face, then spread a layer of mask over it.  The mineral rich clay gradually dries, absorbing impurities and excess oil. After about ten minutes I rinse off the dried mask, and I am left with soft matte skin. It is fantastic for blemishes and I often use it as a spot mask for breakouts.

I use this once a week to keep blemish free. I absolutely love this mask. It is convenient, hygenic, and wonderfully effective. This is a real winner, and I can’t wait to try the other masks from Clayspray.

Clayspray Brightening Mask

Clayspray Brightening Mask

There are  5 types of facial masks, each for a different problem: Pore Refining White Clay, Toning with White Clay & Aloe, Brightening, Mattifying Red Clay, Glow Red Clay, plus H2O Hydrate Mineral Water Spray, and H2O Mineral Water Comfort Spray with Green Tea.

The mask I was sent for review is the Brightening White Clay with Ginseng. This mask is meant to exfoliate and remove dead cells. With the added touch of ginseng it brightens your skin.

I have a warning about this amazing Clayspray Brightening Mask – if the phone rings, let it ring. Don’t try to answer! The first time I used the mask I made that mistake. I hadn’t realized how hard it dried nor how fast. I couldn’t talk but it was worth that problem because the results of the Brightening White Clay with Ginseng Masque are worth a little inconvenience. My skin looks amazing after using this – smaller pores and fresher looking.

You first moisten your face with water, preferably their H2O Mineral Water spray. You squirt it out onto your hand and then apply. It takes a few minutes to start drying and within 5 minutes it seems totally dry on me. I leave it on about 15 minutes even though the directions don’t mention how long. I have large pores that are the bain of my existence. Clayspray Brightening White Clay Mask is wonderful about clearing out the gunk left behind.

What I like about the mask, beside the genius packaging, is that it’s made of clay. It’s not loaded with chemicals. (Ingredients: Clay, (argilla), water (aqua), asian ginseng(panax ginseng) root extract, citric acid, sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium polyacrylate.)

You can feel the clay working with this mask quickly and you know that it’s doing the job of removing dead cells, building healthy cells, and locking in moisture. Clayspray tells me that there’s an oxygenating effect that helps with a renewed complexion. They are right about that.

Clayspray masks are found at great retailers like Beautyhabit, Dermstore, Anthropology. At Dermstore right now they have the 125 mL bottles for $59.95 with a free mini H2O Mineral Water Spray. These wonderful Clayspray masks will bring you the most hygenic application no matter what type of skin you have. These are Beauty Info Zone endorsed.
