Unboxing The Zoe Report Box of Style

The Zoe Report Box of StyleWho doesn’t want a stylist? I know when something looks great but I’m not always the best at actually finding the items and picking them out. Probably the most famous stylist with a terrific eye for the latest and greatest is Rachel Zoe. Since it’s not likely that I will ever actually be styled by Rachel, The Zoe Report Box of Style is a fabulous alternative.                                                                        sample

Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe

Here’s how you know this box of fashion and beauty is incredible – every single box has sold out since Box of Style launched in March 2015. The Zoe Report Editor-in-Chief, Rachel Zoe, and her team of editors curate 5 full-sized products that are worth over $400. I am not kidding, this box is one ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ after another. Here’s the general info first, then I’ll give you the scoop on the current box.

You can get each individual box for $100, or subscribe for the year for $350.  The yearly price is worth the investment because you are guaranteed the box, and the spring box alone has over $400 worth of product in it. Each box has a ‘hero’ piece that is worth over $100. Women who will love this box are those who love fashion and style but just don’t have time to shop for the latest items. If you are into upscale style at a great price, or if you want to venture outside your typical comfort zone but don’t want to invest in a personal stylist, this is the perfect way to meet all those wants and spoil yourself without breaking the bank.

The Zoe Report Box of Style Spring 2017

The Zoe Report Box of Style Spring 2017

What is special about the Spring 2017 Edition?  Every single brand was founded by a woman! Total girl power. The products are valued at over $400 and they are absolutely obsession grade. There are two exclusive collaborations that you can only find in Box of Style, collaborations that have given jobs and skills to hundreds of women in India. The box is all about EMPOWERMENT – everything is made by women to empower other women to live a life of style! I love that this collection has everything needed to take you from work to the weekend. It’s a fantastic collection and I am just beyond thrilled with it. Ok, so now let’s get into the gorgeous details, shall we??

There are three fashion items – the Tribe Alive Custom Carryall ($238), the Adornemonde Iva Earrings ($62), and the Symbology Scarf ($50).

The Tribe Alive Custom Carryall is the ‘hero’ piece, a chic purse that is the perfect size – not so large that it overwhelms a small frame, but big enough for a last-minute shopping trip to Whole Foods. It’s super versatile too. I find that it is dressy enough for work, yet it also works as my bag for my yoga essentials. I love the juxtaposition of the colorful print with the tan strap and handles. This bag was made by women in India who could have otherwise ended up in the sex trade. Instead, the women are given skills and safe employment by Tribe Alive founder Carly Burson.

A great compliment to the Tribe Alive Custom Carryall is the Symbology Scarf. This is a gorgeous peacock-inspired print in gold and berry that can be worn around the neck, wrist, or tied to the strap of your purse. I love it paired with the Tribe Alive Custom Carryall.  The Symbology company was founded by Marissa Heyl after an inspirational trip to India.

The third fashion item is the adorable multi-tasking Adornmonde Ivo Convertible Earrings. Some boxes have the gold version, some have the silver version. Happily, mine had silver which is my preference. These earrings are a great twist on the classic hoop. You can also wear just the bar for a completely different look. Rachel suggests getting edgy and wearing the bar on one ear and the hoop on the other. Adornmonde is a chic jewelry line with LE pieces owned by Niki Allworth.

There are two beauty items in the Spring 2017 Box of Style:  Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder ($65) and Butter London Piece of Cake Nail Polish ($18).

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder

I’m a big fan of the Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder.  Mixed with warm water or your cleanser, this is a wonderful exfoliant that removes dead skin and unclogs pores. It leaves skin soft and glowing. Since it’s a powder, you never have to worry about it expiring either. Victoria Tsai created this line which is inspired by the beauty rituals of Geisha’s.

How perfect is the Butter London Piece of Cake Nail Polish? Pretty pink perfect. This is a fantastic soft, neutral pink that makes for a classy and chic manicure. I could wear this shade every day for a year. I don’t think I ever knew that Butter London was founded by two fierce females, Sasha Muir and Nonie Creme.

An essential for beauty is lots and lots of clean water and The Zoe Report Box of Style has you covered with the last two items:  the BKR Glass and Silicone Water Bottle ($35) and the Stella Artois Chalice ($13).

I love the feminine look of the BKR Glass and Silicone Water Bottle and the silicone outer covering just feels awesome in your hands. The BKR line was created by Tal Winter and Kate Cutler as a response to cheap and definitely not chic plastic water bottles. Hydration is a necessity, so why not do it in style?

The final item, which is actually the ‘bonus’ item in the Spring 2017 Box of Style, is the Stella Artois Chalice. It’s a gorgeous chalice, and every LE chalice that is sold provides an incredible 5 years of clean water for one person in the developing world. Once you pour yourself a drink, be sure to leave your mark at BuyALadyaDrink.com.

I can’t rave enough about The Zoe Report Box of Style. It is a fantastic collection of obsession-worthy items and this collection in particular is amazing because it’s all about girl power. March 2017 Your Bijoux Box #YourBijouxBoxStyle

Your Bijoux BoxThere are some moments that are just exquisite. The feeling of brand new socks. That first hot, salty McDonald’s french fry. A perfect place to park suddenly becoming yours. Coming home after a trying day to find a subscription box on your porch. I recently had all four experiences in one day which culminated in finding my March 2017 Your Bijoux Box calmly awaiting outside my door!                  sample, affiliate links

March Collection Your Bijoux BoxThe March Collection from Your Bijoux Box is a coordinated set of three pieces that complement almost any outfit, dressed up or dressed down. Each monthly box has three jewelry items for women (although this month there were three jewelry items plus one extra item). The boxes are curated by stylists so although these are customized everyone gets the same jewelry each month. A monthly subscription is $36 and there are options for a three-month ($103) or six month ($206) subscription. They ship to the US and Canada.

The March Collection was a celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, with an emphasis on spring green good-luck jewelry that makes you feel like a million bucks. This month they had a delay due to some supplier issues, but I really appreciated the communication and continued updates regarding shipping.  I still got my box in time for celebrating the holiday with my beautiful new items!Your Bijoux Box Tessellation CuffYour Bijoux Box Tessellation CuffYour Bijoux Box Tessellation Cuff

1.  Tessellation Cuff ($78) – this is a gorgeous art deco piece from the House of Harlow 1960. It’s a fascinating cuff – I keep looking at it and finding more details. If you have nice arms, this is a great way to draw attention to them. Depending on your arm, you can wear this on the upper arm or at the wrist. It is a bit adjustable. I have really skinny arms so I like this on my upper arm, but my daughter prefers it as a bracelet. It’s gorgeous, and well worth the price of the box alone.Sama Cuff

Some people received the Sama Cuff instead. It looks beautiful, but I think I like the Tessellation Cuff even more.

Your Bijoux Box Emerald Layered NecklaceYour Bijoux Box Emerald Layered NecklaceYour Bijoux Box Emerald Layered Necklace2.  Emerald Layered Necklace:  Continuing the art deco and green theme, this beautiful layered necklace is a great addition to my necklace collection. It lays nicely and doesn’t tangle up. I love pairing this with a plain white t-shirt and skinny jeans.  Your Bijoux Box Emerald EarringsYour Bijoux Box Emerald Earrings

3.  Emerald Earrings:  These match the Emerald Layered Necklace. They are surprisingly light and don’t pull on the earlobes. I am a huge art deco fan so this month’s collection of jewelry is just perfect. I love the vintage glamour.

Your Bijoux Box Life of Fashion Scarf

4.  Life of Fashion Scarf:  My daughter Marina is modeling the fashion items for this month. The Life of Fashion Scarf is an infinity scarf with a graduated cream and green print. I don’t have a lot of green in my wardrobe so this is definitely a welcome addition. The scarf is soft and so pretty…and it was perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. I wasn’t pinched once because I had my green!

The March Collection Your Bijoux Box was a fabulous celebration of spring and St. Patrick’s Day with pieces I can wear all year long. Have you signed up for Your Bijoux Box yet? It’s a great time to do it…just think of that exquisite moment when you find the box of sparkly surprises on your porch!  – Lisa

Glimmering baubles in Your Bijoux Box December Collection!

Your Bijoux Box The December CollectionSometimes everything just works out. A week ago, I found out at the very last moment that my husband and I were invited to a black tie affair. I rarely go to anything black tie, but I had a dress ready thanks to a recent Stitch Fix order – this Maggy Sophia White Floral London Fit and Flare Dress:maggie-london-sophia-white-floral-fit-and-flare-dress
I winterized it with a darling Alice Blue black jacket, also from StitchFix. I just needed the right jewelry.  Lo and behold, my December Collection of the Your Bijoux Box arrived!! Everything inside was exactly what I needed to perfectly accessorize my party dress.                          sample, affiliate links

Here’s what is in December’s box of bling:

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection David & Young Scarf

David & Young Scarf ($30) – I love love love this scarf. The geometric pattern is beautiful, the colors go with everything from a winter coat to a slinky dress and it is super soft and cozy. Awesome.

Deepa Gurnani Beaded Bracelet ($50) – This is a very cool, retro, sort of steam punk/art deco piece that has lots of sparkle and tons of personality. It is handmade by artisans and imagined by former couture beading designer Deepa Gurnani.

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette DropsYour Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette Drops

Juliette Drops ($26) – Wow these are stunning. These crystal drop earrings add fun and bling to a maxi dress and will be fantastic to pair with a silky sundress this summer. Total romance.

Your Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette CollarYour Bijoux Box The December Collection Juliette Collar

Juliette Collar ($38) – My exact words when I pulled this shimmering beauty out of the box: shut the front door!! Freaking fabulous. It was just perfect for my black tie event, but it also looks incredible with a simple white t-shirt (like the Citizens of Humanity Premium Vintage Esmay T-Shirt), skinny jeans (like the Rag + Bone Frayed Skinny Jeans), and black Acne Studio Pistol booties. citizens-of-humanity-vintage-esmay-t-shirtrag-and-bone-frayed-skinny-jeans

Lots of fun in the Wantable February Accessories Collection!

Looking outside my window right now, it is snowing and blowing and the temperature is below zero.  I can’t be alone in wanting warm spring weather and fun, bright colors to match a shining sun!  My February Accessories Collection that I was sent from Wantable for review brought me a fabulous teaser for warm weather with four pieces that are going to get lots of play.

Wantable February 2015 Accessories Collection

Wantable February 2015 Accessories Collection

Like last month, my collection includes a ring, a necklace, a pair of sunglasses, and a scarf.  I am thrilled with the variety of items, and they all go together with silver tones and fun-loving vibe.

Courtney Ring

Courtney Ring

The Courtney Ring (retail value $11) is a silver stretch ring that looks like an arrow.  This is a bigger, statement ring that looks especially good with a white t-shirt, jeans, black boots, and pastel nail polish.

Macy Sunglasses

Macy Sunglasses

The Macy Sunglasses (retail value $14) have extremely large frames and the most gorgeous silver detailing on the sides.  These are going to be fantastic for maximum protection at the beach!  This is a pair of sunglasses that Jackie-O would absolutely love.

Sheila Necklace

Sheila Necklace

I am totally digging the Sheila Necklace (retail value $16).  This is a double layer necklace with fun silver disc details.  It looks like it would be very heavy but it is feather light.  The Sheila Necklace is just beautiful and I am so glad I can specify my necklace length preferences as this is exactly the length I like.

Suri Scarf

Suri Scarf

My final item is the Suri Scarf (retail value $24).  This is a lightweight oblong scarf in fun, springy mint, cream, and grey.  Pictures don’t really do this justice.  The Suri Scarf is one that works with any outfit, from casual jeans to a sundress.

Wantable is always a great value at $36 a month.  My collection this month had a retail value of $65, and I will definitely wear every item.  I think the best part about Wantable is how very specific you can be regarding preferences, yet every collection is still a wonderful surprise.

Wantable January 2015 Accessories Collection

2015 Wantable January Accessories CollectionSomehow January always seems to be a lackluster month to me.  Maybe it’s because December was so twinkly and bright with all the decorations and bells and whistles.  After I take down the tree and put away all the holiday chotchkies, everything seems bare.  My January Wantable Accessories Collection brought me some stylish brightness that sparkles up even my plainest looks.

2015 Wantable Accessories Collection

2015 Wantable Accessories Collection

This month’s Wantable Accessories Collection is well worth a $36 subscription fee.  My collection has a scarf, a necklace, a ring, and a pair of sunglasses – great variety!

The Shannon Ring

The Shannon Ring

1.  Shannon Ring (retail value $9)  What a super cute ring.  I am partial to round stones, so this vintage-looking gold ring with a salmon stone is a real treat.

Kelli Sunglasses in silver

Kelli Sunglasses in silver

2.  Kelli Sunglasses (retail value $18)  You just can’t go wrong with aviator sunglasses – they look good on everyone.  My pair is silver, and they are fantastic for sunny winter walks.  These are super sturdy so it should be a while before I manage to break them!

Eileen Scarf in mustard

Eileen Scarf in mustard

3.  Eileen Scarf (retail value $24)  This is a tube design knitted scarf with fringe detail.  Mine is mustard, which is a wonderful winter color.  I am a huge scarf fiend, but this is my first tube scarf!  I love how easy it is – even if I throw it on it instantly looks artfully arranged.

Karina Necklace

Karina Necklace

4.  Karina Necklace (retail value $32)  I can’t begin to tell you how difficult it was to photograph this necklace.  It has three different length multi-tone chains.  The shortest chain has a golden ball, the middle length has a beautiful pearlized semi-precious drop stone, and the longest chain has taupe colored beads.  It is truly gorgeous and is great for dressing up simple tops.  Wantable recommends pairing this with a marsala colored sweater, so of course I am now on a mission to find one.

The retail value of this month’s collection is $83, and I love every item.  Wantable continues to be the best surprise I get every month…do something nice for yourself and get a subscription!  – Lisa

Transitioning into fall with the Wantable August Accessories Box

For August,Wantable paired up with Rachel Weiland for picks that transition from the dog days of summer into the cooler autumn months. Trends include hard metallics, sparkling beads, and vintage flair. Wantable sent a great box that is all about layering pieces, pairing up different lengths to play with focal points and create unique looks.

Wantable August Accessories Box

Wantable August Accessories Box

My August Accessories Box has four – or five, really, since it’s two pairs of earrings – items with a total retail value of $93. That’s beyond awesome for a $36 subscription price, and I am extremely happy with every piece (although the sunglasses are on the large side for my face.)

My favorite items are the Cece Earrings (retails for $12). I am head over heels in love with this pair of posts.

Cece Earrings

Cece Earrings

I am astounded that these only have a $12 retail value because they have a very expensive look and feel. The hamsa symbol earrings have pale blue stones. If you aren’t familiar with the symbol, it’s an ancient symbol for magical protection. Since I like to always have all bases covered, I am totally down with that. The hamsa posts are paired with pretty peach stone posts – they look terrific together.

The Karleigh Scarf

The Karleigh Scarf

The Karleigh Scarf ($18 value) is a lightweight infinity scarf. It has a feather print and beautiful shades of black, tan, blue, and taupe. This is a great scarf that is light enough for summer but will also work until the snow flies.

Ettika Necklace

The most expensive item in my August box is the Ettika Triple Faceted Ring Bead Chain Necklace (retail value $45). It has a short gold chain with three faceted beads. This is a classic yet unique necklace that is a great staple for any accessory wardrobe. It’s great on its own or layered with one or two longer necklaces.

The Bryn Sunglasses (retail value $18) are the final item in my August box.

These sunglasses have a really interesting black and brown pattern on the frames – you can see the that the pattern sort of morphs from spots into stripes. These are definitely ‘Jackie O’ style frames with major coverage. While they really are big for my face, these are the sunglasses I will reach for whenever I have a headache and have to go out in the sun.

I like the little gold fleur-de-lis on the stem along with the earrings. In fact, this a box of accessories that can all be worn at the same time.

I am definitely happy with my Wantable August Accessories Box, the best value I have received so far at $93. If you love accessories or need to build up your wardrobe, I have no doubt that this is the best subscription box out there.  – Lisa

A beautiful new thing! Wantable February Accessories Box

Wantable’s February Accessories Box is all about the latest from the spring runways. The trends are pretty much the opposite of ‘demure’ – colors range from pastels to neons. There is romance and there is sparkle. Put it all together and it definitely is a beautiful thing!

Wantable February Accessories

Wantable February Accessories

The box Wantable sent me included four items:  two pairs of earrings, a scarf, and a statement necklace. Together, all four pieces retail for a whopping $85, which is a fantastic value considering a subscription is $36 per month. I love my February box, it’s fun and whimsical but practical at the same time. Here is a closer look.

The Berrymore Earrings

The Berrymore Earrings

The Berrymore Earrings (retail value $16) are pretty onyx black cut-out style earrings in a stunning geometric pattern. Just imagine these with a sleek ponytail, thick black eyeliner, and smoking hot red lips. Gorgeous!

The Issey Earrings

On the more romantic side the Issey Earrings (retail value $20) combine a gold floral design with peach teardrop beads. These are simply lovely and are the perfect complement to a soft boho look.

The last – but not least! – item in my February Accessories Box is the statement piece, the Josslyn Necklace (retail value $34). When I first saw it I thought….oh my, am I going to wear this necklace or is it going to wear me?? Thankfully, it’s a surprisingly wearable piece that really does make a statement. There is a lot going on here, so it’s essential to pair this with something simple like a little black dress. It’s funky and feminine, and it is exactly on trend. Way to go Wantable!

I am totally loving this month’s box.  It is a terrific mix of playful and practical pieces that are going to get tons of use this spring. If you haven’t checked out Wantable yet, now is the perfect time!  – Lisa
