Get triple hydration with Mally H3 Lip Gloss

Mally Beauty needs no introduction. We all know and love Mally with her bubbly personality and wonderful products. We love it even more when new products are introduced though and today we have Mally H3 Lip Glosses that are unlike any that Mally has ever introduced us to.

Mally H3 Lip Glosses

Mally H3 Lip Glosses

There are 6 total shades: Pink Daisy, Shimmering Nude, Sweet Peach, Tea Rose, Perfect Nude and Orchid Berry. All six can be found at Ulta.com for $20 each plus at QVC there’s a trio for $36. We were lucky enough to be sent 2 of these to do a Side by Side review but we think we are going to be buying more of these ASAP.

H3 stands for the triple hydration these glosses give you. “Get enviable, fierce coverage with this ultra-moisturizing high-shine gloss that is formulated with antioxidants and plenty of moisture, leaving your lips full and sparkling.”

MARCIA and her TEA ROSE H3 GLOSS

Mally H3 Gloss in Tea Rose

Mally H3 Gloss in Tea Rose

Tea Rose is such a Marcia color. I’m crazy about Tea Rose. What makes me even happier though is that Mally’s new H3 glosses feel so different from other glosses. Their triple hydration makes them feel so soft and moisturized. In general I’m not a lip gloss person like my partner Lisa. She looks so fabulous in glosses and loves them to pieces. I prefer a lipstick or liquid lipstick. But Mally has taken that bias away with this gloss.

Tea Rose indirect sunlight

Tea Rose is the perfect pinky peach with a small amount of sparkle to it that can’t be felt but that brings my lips to life. This is the shade that I always seek when shopping. This H3 gloss isn’t sticky at all. Even though Tea Rose is a fairly light shade, it imparts plenty of color and I can wear it alone or with a lipliner. I have to thank Mally for bringing out this new formula and ask her to create more “gorgois” shades.

LISA and her BERRY ORCHID H3 GLOSS

I definitely am a lip gloss person…I always need lots of slip on my lips. If my lips feel dry I get very antsy…in fact, I don’t even care if it’s rude, I put my lip gloss any time, anywhere because the alternative drives me batty. Most of my lip glosses are in the berry family so I had a feeling I was going to be happy with the Berry Orchid shade.

Mally Berry Orchid H3 Gloss

Mally Berry Orchid H3 Gloss

Mally Berry Orchid H3 Gloss

Berry Orchid is actually much deeper than I expected from the bottle. It has a slight shimmer that’s very pretty. My only issue with this gloss is the doe foot wand applies too much gloss for my thin lips. If I’m not careful, I find lots of gloss in the corners of my mouth – which is not a good look. So I’m careful to kind of scrape the doe foot along the side of the container as I pull it out, which solves the ‘corner gloss’ problem.

Mally Berry Orchid H3 Gloss

Mally Berry Orchid H3 Gloss

Mally H3 Gloss lives up to the triple hydrating, giving me soft and hydrated lips. The wear time is normal for a non-sticky gloss. While it would be awesome if it lasted longer, I still love this gloss and wear it all the time.  Nicely done Mally!

My favorite foundations for winter – Top 10 Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday has rolled around again and I’m excited to be sharing my favorites for foundation. I have more than on my list but just as important as my favorites are my two tools of choice so that took two spots. I purposely left out CC Creams even though I will use them in the winter but I wanted to stick with foundations for a change.

These are in no particular order. These are all sitting on my vanity right now! I may not be neat but I’m happy!!
1.
BOBBI BROWN INTENSIVE SKIN SERUM FOUNDATION is pretty new to me and pretty impressive too. It has SPF 40 in it and is available in 18 shades plus it’s very forgiving. I’ve been wanting a serum foundation and the one I bought from Armani a few years ago never felt right. The makeup artist I went to loves this foundation and gave me a sample. That brought me back to buy it. It’s very lightweight and you wouldn’t expect it to hide imperfections but it does. It feels great on my skin too.
2.
TOO FACED BORN THIS WAY ABSOLUTE PERFECTION FOUNDATION just moved into my house last week. I keep reading about it and Sephora F&F finally put me over the edge. I’ve worn it twice which really isn’t enough to put it on a list but both times I was quite happy with the way it looked and lasted. This $38 foundation comes in 18 shades and is oil-free. I love that it has ingredients to help with hydration (coconut water and hyaluronic acid are two).
3.
IT COSMETICS O2 O2 ULTRA REPAIR LIQUID OXYGEN FOUNDATION ($38) was my foundation favorite of the year for 2014 and remains a favorite 11 months later. I’m a huge fan of IT Cosmetics but with all brands some products are better than others. This is a ‘better than others’ foundation. Fair matches me perfectly but it only is available in 5 shades which might be a problem for some. One of the biggest reasons to love IT is their anti-aging ingredients (Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Niacin, Hyaluronic Acid and Grape Seed Oil plus Vitamins A, C, & E). This is actually a serum foundation which I didn’t realize until I was typing this up!!
4.
SENNA LASTING ILLUSION FOUNDATION* has been one that I’ve counted on for an airbrushed finish for almost two years. This is a fuller coverage than most of the others I own and there are many days and occasions that I crave that coverage. It’s a matte satin that reflects light away from imperfections. Senna isn’t talked about enough but in my opinion people are missing out on this great Hollywood indie brand. ($48, 7 shades)
5.
MALLY BEAUTY EFFORTLESS AIRBRUSH PERFECT SKIN MOUSSE is another foundation that people need to know about. One of the problems with Mally Beauty is that it’s hard to find – all the great places that carry the line only carry parts of Mally. This is only sold at Mally’s website and it’s worth it to shop there. The coverage with this mousse is perfection. I need so little but I could build it up if necessary. Plus it comes with a fabulous foundation brush that feels wonderful and works like a dream ($45*).
6.
GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION – there are no words for this foundation. I’ve gone through 3 bottles since I started using it and I’m sure to go through more. It’s available in 23 shades and it’s worth every penny of the $62 cost to me. It’s weightless and oil-free and the coverage is like silk.
7.
RIMMEL LONDON LASTING FINISH FOUNDATION is the opposite in cost from Armani and not similar to it in finish, but it’s the best drugstore foundation I’ve ever bought. The problem with drugstores is being unable to test colors but I got lucky with O91 Light Ivory. At first I noticed a perfumey fragrance but once applied I noticed it for about 15 seconds and never again. If you are looking for great coverage to last through the day and you have $6.99 laying around, this is what to spend it on.
8.
GERI G INNOCENT FOUNDATION isn’t known at all. I just reviewed it again along with their Transceutical Canvas so I hope that this comes more to the forefront. It’s a medium coverage that can be built up. On the days I’m looking a little worse for the wear, I turn to this to make my skin look its best. The downside is that it only comes in 4 shades and the swatches on the website aren’t really helpful. ($38)
9.
BEAUTY BLENDER SPONGE is amazing. Don’t accept imitations. I don’t care that it’s $20 while others are much less, this is the one that works. It now comes in many colors like the new royal purple. The black one is called the Pro one but I don’t think it’s any different than my pink ones. Trust me when I tell you that this could change your makeup application.
10.
ARTIS OVAL 10 ELITE BRUSH* has become holy grail to me. It changes your paradigm about what a foundation brush is and you won’t want to look back. The softness, the bristles (2500 of them!), the ergonomics, and the luxuriousness of this $72 brush make it worth the high cost. If was told I could just take a few items out of my house this would be high up on the list. It’s that precious. Review here.

Adding to your concealer wardrobe with Mally Beauty

Have you heard the term “concealer wardrobe”? It’s part of the new lingo that beauty buffs are using in describing beauty techniques. A concealer wardrobe is just like your clothes wardrobe but it is all about concealers and correctors. Just like you don’t usually wear the same undergarments every day, you shouldn’t necessarily wear the same products under your foundation. Part of a concealer wardrobe is knowing the best product for the job. Concealers are not a “one size fits all” type of beauty product.

Beauty Info Zone was happy when Mally Beauty shared an amazing concealer with us so that we can show you what’s been added to our concealer wardrobes and what we like about these babies.

MARCIA and MALLY BEAUTY DARK CIRCLE CORRECTOR in LIGHTER

The Dark Circle Corrector is available on QVC as a set of two for $30.  You can find it HERE.

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter

The Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter is like a magic wand for me. It has an applicator that’s like a shower head, twist and the concealer/corrector squiggles out. I love that I can control the amount that I need.

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter

Here’s how I cocktail this: I start with a peach cream corrector shade under my eyes similar in shade to Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer. Once that’s blended I then apply Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter as seen below.

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter application method

Blend that with a concealer brush or a the skinny tip of a Beauty Blender and I’m concealed for the day. It’s amazing how great this combination works to cover my dark circles.

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter blended

Mally Dark Circle Corrector in Lighter blended

From what I’ve read this was formulated with a special brightening pigment that helps disguise colors like red, blue, purple or darkness under your eyes. It brightens your undereye area so that nothing plagues your look. I’m thrilled to have this addition to my concealer wardrobe.

LISA’S SIDE

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia…as usual you are RIGHT!!!!!!! I love this concealer too – it is freaking amazing. In fact it has become my favorite concealer ever. I even brought it to work one day to show my coworkers.

Mally Dark Circle Corrector

Mally Dark Circle Corrector

I have very dark under eye circles so I tend to gravitate toward heavy concealers. I need lots of coverage and lots of light reflection, otherwise I look perpetually tired. I thought the Mally Dark Circle Corrector was not going to have enough coverage since it’s a very lightweight cream, but it totally surprised me.

I dot this on underneath my eyes, and also smooth some under my eyebrows and down the center of my nose. It blends in beautifully with the Mally Foundation Brush and really covers those dark circles! I love it with the Mally Face Defender BB Cream as my foundation (I reviewed both of these HERE).

By the way, I have skin that is just shy of MEDIUM, and I use the concealer in the shade Lighter. Right now it looks like the concealer is only available in the shade Darker. I don’t know if that’s because Lighter is sold out, but I think the colors are all pretty forgiving. We hope what is available works for you, because we’d love for you to have the same great experience we have had!

The ‘total package’ – Mally Face Defender BB Cream and Foundation Brush

Mally Face Defender BB Cream

Mally Face Defender BB Cream

I love many products from Mally Beauty, but the Face Defender BB Cream Foundation and Foundation Brush combo is definitely my favorite. In fact, just yesterday one of my coworkers asked me which foundation I would recommend for her as she transitions into winter makeup and I said, without any hesitation, Mally Face Defender BB Cream! It does everything from treating to priming to covering and the brush is truly terrific.

Mally Face Defender BB Cream in Medium Light

Mally Face Defender BB Cream in Medium Light

A great big 1.8 ounce tube of Face Defender BB Cream Foundation and the foundation brush are available as a set on QVC for $45 you can find it HERE. The tube is large enough to last until spring, especially since you only need a small amount of BB cream for great coverage.

To be perfectly honest, when I use my Face Defender BB Cream Foundation I still use a primer, a concealer, and a setting powder. I can’t help myself…playing with cosmetics is therapy for me. The beauty of Face Defender is that if you aren’t a high maintenance person, or if you have limited time and need the biggest bang for your buck, this BB cream really does do everything. It has antioxidants so it works as a treatment serum/moisturizer. It has an SPF of 15 so it works as sun protection. It’s full coverage enough so most people won’t need a concealer and it doesn’t look heavy or cakey on skin. It has a beautiful, glowy finish that really only needs modest powdering throughout the day for an oily t-zone.

Mally Foundation Brush

Mally Foundation Brush

I absolutely adore the Foundation Brush, which gets second billing but is truly a star all on its own. I squeeze a tiny bit of Face Defender right onto the flat side of the brush then buff it on using a circular motion. This brush blends so beautifully that it is a must have for any brush collection.

Wearing Mally Face Defender BB Cream

Wearing Mally Face Defender BB Cream

For this photo I first applied a spritz of Skindinavia Makeup Spray Primer, then I used the Foundation Brush to apply my Face Defender. I also used Mally Dark Circle Corrector (another of my Mally obsessions!), a little face powder, and the Mally Shimmer, Shape, and Glow palette for blush and contour. There have been many days when I just used the Face Defender because I simply didn’t have time for anything else…and with a swipe of lipstick on my lips and cheeks, I certainly had everything I needed to make it through the day.

The Face Defender BB Cream Foundation comes in Fair, Light Medium Light, Medium Tan, Tan, Warm Rich, and Rich. This is my favorite BB cream foundation and I highly recommend a visit to QVC to get this set…it’s the total package.  – Lisa

Summer Beauty with IT Cosmetics, Pur Minerals, Gabriel eyeshadow, Mally and more

Beautysets - Summer Beauty
It’s Tuesday and that means Top Ten Tuesday. Today’s topic is summer beauty. My choices are 10 items (or more) that I know I’ll be using all summer. I started this by deciding what I’d take with me for a long summer weekend away. I just included cosmetics, not skincare, or this would be all about sunscreen. The ten items I picked are ones I’m enjoying and I’d happily put in my cosmetic bag.

1.  URBAN DECAY MINOR SIN PRIMER POTION – I chose Minor Sin since it does double duty for me. It’s both an eyeshadow primer and a color product. It works great under the eyeshadow I’d bring and it works beautifully on its own for a simple look. It’s a champagne shimmer that’s sheer.

2. GABRIEL COSMETICS EYESHADOW TRIO IN SMOKEY SHIMMER* Eyeshadow Trios are new to Gabriel Cosmetics and I am loving Smokey Shimmer. It’s very versatile and won’t take up much room. I’ll be able to get a few different looks with this depending on whether it’s night or day. I’ll have a full review of this soon.

3.  PHYSICIANS FORMULA Eye Booster™2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum is my new favorite eyeliner. I have searched so long for the perfect brown liquid eyeliner. I’ve found several brands I really like (at last) but this is the one I can’t put down. A perfect brown, an easy to use felt tip point, a great price, and very long lasting. I plan to buy another at the next sale.

4.  DV LIGHT UP MASCARA*  (DV stands for Dakota Vox) This mascara not only gives me long separated lashes but it lights up and has a mirror on it. Perfect for a getaway or any time. So far I haven’t lit it up but I’ve been using this daily and I love the way my lashes look. It doesn’t clump and it doesn’t smudge. It’s easy to remove which I’ve been appreciating lately because I’ve had to rub my eyes too much with other mascaras. The silicone brush deposits the pigment easily and evenly.

5. IT COSMETICS EYELIFT IN A TUBE should be no surprise to anyone since I love my IT Cosmetic items. This isn’t one that I’ve written about but it’s one I use all the time. This two sided beauty has a wand of Bye Bye Under Eye on one side and Hello Light™ Liquid Brightener on the other. Dab a little of the Liquid Brightener on and you look ready to hit the town.

6.  PUR MINERALS CC CREAM* is one of my favorites that I don’t mention enough. It has SPF 40 so it’s a good addition to whatever other sunscreen I’m using. I love the coverage. Lately I’ve been applying it with a kabuki brush but I can easily use my fingers. I have it in Light and the shade is great for me. Why I’d take this with me is that I don’t have to follow up with a powder.

Pur Minerals CC Cream

7.  PUR MINERALS CHATEAU CHEEKS CREAM BLUSH* are just a few of the cream blushes I love. What makes this summer beauty worthy is that it’s firm to the touch so it means that they won’t melt away. It only comes in two colors (Coy and Flirty) but they are both excellent. Both work great with the Gabriel Smokey Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio I picked.

8.  IT COSMETICS HELLO LIGHT™ RADIANCE POWDER* is perfect for me to use in the summer. It’s not sparkly, there’s no glitter, there’s just glow. It can be used anywhere you need highlighting or it can be used as a finishing powder. There’s a light golden glow to it. Another IT Cosmetics favorite!

9.  MALLY EVERCOLOR LIP MAGNIFIER* – it was difficult to pick from my lip crayon loves but Mally doesn’t get talked about enough and I love these lip crayons. The coverage is great, they are very smooth and there’s some lip plumping going on. My favorite is Princess Pink but there are 14 different shades at Ulta.com so you’ll surely find one you love.

10.  HARD CANDY ALL GLOSSED UP HYDRATING LIP STAIN* is the $5 alternative to Mally or Tarte lip crayons. On Walmart.com there are just a few shades available but there are more when you go in person. These are just like the name states – hydrating, glossy and lightly staining. It wears away evenly on me but I’ve only tried a Cupcake which is pink so I don’t know about darker shades.

Here’s my 10 but now that I’m done I realize I should have included so much more, including nail polish. I guess you’ll have to keep coming back for more posts.

With Mally Beauty Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse you’ll look effortlessly beautiful

Mally Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse

Mally Beauty Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse

Mally Roncal has the type of energetic beauty that can sell me anything. She could sell ice to Eskimos and sand to desert dwellers. Her personality totally shines through whenever you see her on TV and makes you want to buy her products in mass quantities. mally

But that’s not really enough for me or for you. The products have to match up to your standards and what Mally says about them. I was sent Mally Beauty Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse to test out and now I am about to buy ice and sand from Mally. This foundation is that good.

Mally Beauty Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse and Foundation Brush

While this only comes in 5 shades (Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, and Rich) on Mally Beauty, it’s available in 8 shades on QVC (the 5 mentioned plus Medium Light, Medium Tan, and Deep) ($45 for brush and foundation). I found a perfect match in Fair. I wouldn’t change one thing about the shade once it’s blended onto my face.

Mally Perfect Skin Mousse

Mally Perfect Skin Mousse

I usually shake the can of Effortless Airbrush Perfect Skin Mousse but you really don’t have to do so. This is incredibly lightweight yet gives my skin perfect coverage. I don’t use a lot to get that coverage either but I could build it up if necessary. The Mousse is “formulated with specially coated pigments that adhere to skin for impeccable long-wear with a feel that’s wonderfully light and airy”.

This is currently my most used foundation, even more than the CC Creams that I love so much. I love the coverage, the feel, the shade Fair, and the longevity of this mousse. If you haven’t tried this, it’s time. I’m sure all the Mallynistas would agree. — Marcia
